For real. Renji is most likely the strongest lieutenant in soul society. In fact he’s stronger than at least 3-4 of the captains at this time. (Soifon, love, kensei and shinji)
This episode’s animation is amazing you could already tell the animation is different when the soul reapers running and the fight is one of the best animated fights in this arc
so glad man season 3 is the beast Bleach has ever looked man. I was very disappointed after s2 bc the animation and pacing was very off. There was some good highlights like Rukia, Zaraki vs Gremmy, Komamura, but the animation was so stiff and lacking in parts, they had staffing issues apparently. I was worried s3 would be kinda mid but no, it's been absolutely incredible so far, by far the best season.
@@josephsolorio748 season 1 didn't have good animation either, aside from the 1 sakuga episode in episode 6. there's no need to sugar coat it, bleach has never had good animation outside of the few iconic fights of the series, in particular ichigo vs grimmjow probably being the peak in old bleach. season 1 looked great, but was still somewhat stiff, and it got worse in season 2. the fight between ichigo and the bambi's was particularly horrible and bad, and the squad 0 fights were underwhelming. when you compare it to what was happening in JJK, it definitely did not hold up at all. and I say this as a long time bleach fan who is happy that bleach got another run. bleach got mogged hard by JJK season 2, but season 3 of bleach has been of an incredible standard so far.
I appreciate how this fight subtly emphasizes the fundamental differences between Renji and Ichigo as characters. Despite Ichigo's numerous battles and the skills and powers he has amassed, he remains fundamentally human. On the other hand, Renji the warrior demonstrates no frustration or confusion about fighting an old friend-seemingly to the death-unlike Ichigo. Instead, Renji approaches the situation with a clear focus and confronts the “Quincy” before him without hesitation.
I think part of this is true with the referencing him as a Quincy thing but in the beginning of the fight he didn’t say I’m going to defeat you, he said I’m going to get to the castle and defeat Yhwach. I thought that was interesting.
I think Renji officially threw off the gloves (or at least consciously) after asking Uryu if he met Ichigo, which the latter said he thought he killed him and would do so if they met again. So I'd say Renji's more clear headed because Uryu (from what he understands) made it clear that his old friends don't matter to him, and that Ichigo (who's also Renji's friend) presumably attempted to talk to Uryu and was shot down, so from his perspective Uryu is committed to the Quincies.
Let Hanataro do something, Soul Society healers have been pretty disappointing since Unohana died. Ironic, they once told Orihime that the Soul Society healers are better and that she should stay out of the battles😂

You can only imagine how much of an advantage it would give them in the Royal Palace, let alone the fact that Yhwach added additional Reishi to create Wahr Welt. So in a way, Uryu needed Reishi from the god of the verse to take out Renji

Also if you remember Yhwach used some of his ability to escape the Cage where Squad Zero had trapped them. Also I get what you were saying about the fight but I think this episode just highlighted that Uryu was way stronger than Renji not to mention the episode highlighted that Renji’s bankai was still getting used to it. I believed in the episode Ichibe touched on the fact that Renji was only able to use the full power of his Bankai for 20 sec. This tells you that he (Renji) still needs training and adjusting to it. Like how Ichigo could only use the mask for 11 seconds in the past
The Seireitei is made of reishi too, so Uryu still would have beaten Renji even on their turff. I mean that's exactly how he beat Mayuri, by absorbing all the reishi around them.
Except you’re forgetting that the quantity and density of Reishi matters. The density of Reishi in the soul palace is significantly higher than it is in the soul society. Now consider that and factor in that Yhwach added additional Reishi to create Wahr Welt AFTER absorbing the Soul King. The advantage the quincies have here can’t be understated. Uryu essentially needed Reishi from Yhwach to defeat Renji in this manner
remember, facken Renji just got his bankai like about yesterday... whereas you have to still learn and practice it given 5-10 soul reaper years.. The dude also does not have anything special but just Grit and wits😤👊🏽
Askin: HAAAAAAA GOTTA GO Grimmjow: “Why are you running, why are you running?!” They really put that meme in here. Other than that, I think I speak for everyone when I say Renji vs Uryu > Ichigo Vs Uryu. At least he tried his best considering the disadvantages. Much like Ep 30, this one was quite the surprise, but a welcome one to be sure as this entire fight was not at all in the manga, while Ichigo vs Uryu was at least 2 panels that showed only a skirmish turned into half an Ep of an anime original fight line whereas this one is completely brand new (both being only about 2 chapters equivalent to NewGen anime pacing), making a more convincing case that Uyru has truly betrayed his friends. It looks like Uryu got his get back from Renji who laid him out back in Ep 16, seems like he never let that one go when he said “You are a Soul Reaper I despise” now having him laid out, truly a profound callback. Renji could’ve ended him at least twice and while it seemed like he was dead seriously trying to do so apparently he was still subconsciously holding back, however despite that he was still at a disadvantage anyways considering their environment. Needless to say this battle was also not a priority as it didn’t garner any attention since it wasn’t even in the manga to do so, yet they still delivered with this new standard cinema direction courtesy of Pierrot Films. 🙌 Next week is when we should be diving into the 1st priority fight & Ep of the part as the big 400th one of the series for the Mad MVP.
Bro renji was in so much disadvantages like 4 as i counted 1) renji wasn't going for the kill said by uryu himself twice 2) uryu was buffed bcs of the home field advantage he literally healed in the middle of the fight bcs of this as well 3) renji couldn't move well and was in a disadvantage bcs of the dense reishi and 4) renji didn't know uryu's bag at all like that last attack for example Renji got nothing but a w in this ep

This is one of the best episodes in Bleach so far! I'm still editing my reaction video. I think this episode shows Uryu and Renji at their best right now. The side characters are finally getting some main character action. Ichigo is still trash. I can't wait to see Gerard Valkyrie in battle. The MIGHTIEST OF ALL QUINCY! It's a MIRACLE what Gerard can do! His Vollstandig is going to change everything. He was stopped too soon in the manga. Uryu is my third favorite character in Bleach, but he may have jumped to my second favorite now. Dude, he can drain opponents of all their Reishi? That's crazy. Then you have Lille Barro being the neighborhood sniper (Eazy E). Lots of body bags for Quincies. This episode is insane.

@screwy, his schrift is actually close to Jugram if I remember right. Uryu used it while fighting Senjumaru where he swapped places with her. Also if you remember Yhwach used some of his ability to escape the Cage where Squad Zero had trapped them.
Also I get what you were saying about the fight but I think this episode just highlighted that Uryu was way stronger than Renji not to mention the episode highlighted that Renji’s bankai was still getting used to it. I believed in the episode Ichibe touched on the fact that Renji was only able to use the full power of his Bankai for 20 sec. This tells you that he (Renji) still needs training and adjusting to it. Like how Ichigo could only use the mask for 11 seconds in the past

The Seireitei is made of reishi too, so Uryu still would have beaten Renji even on their turff. I mean that's exactly how he beat Mayuri, by absorbing all the reishi around them.
Except you’re forgetting that the quantity and density of Reishi matters. The density of Reishi in the soul palace is significantly higher than it is in the soul society. Now consider that and factor in that Yhwach added additional Reishi to create Wahr Welt AFTER absorbing the Soul King. The advantage the quincies have here can’t be understated. Uryu essentially needed Reishi from Yhwach to defeat Renji in this manner

They really put that meme in here. Other than that, I think I speak for everyone when I say Renji vs Uryu > Ichigo Vs Uryu. At least he tried his best considering the disadvantages. Much like Ep 30, this one was quite the surprise, but a welcome one to be sure as this entire fight was not at all in the manga, while Ichigo vs Uryu was at least 2 panels that showed only a skirmish turned into half an Ep of an anime original fight line whereas this one is completely brand new (both being only about 2 chapters equivalent to NewGen anime pacing), making a more convincing case that Uyru has truly betrayed his friends. It looks like Uryu got his get back from Renji who laid him out back in Ep 16, seems like he never let that one go when he said “You are a Soul Reaper I despise” now having him laid out, truly a profound callback.
Renji could’ve ended him at least twice and while it seemed like he was dead seriously trying to do so apparently he was still subconsciously holding back, however despite that he was still at a disadvantage anyways considering their environment.
Needless to say this battle was also not a priority as it didn’t garner any attention since it wasn’t even in the manga to do so, yet they still delivered with this new standard cinema direction courtesy of Pierrot Films. 🙌
Next week is when we should be diving into the 1st priority fight & Ep of the part as the big 400th one of the series for the Mad MVP.

Bro renji was in so much disadvantages like 4 as i counted 1) renji wasn't going for the kill said by uryu himself twice 2) uryu was buffed bcs of the home field advantage he literally healed in the middle of the fight bcs of this as well 3) renji couldn't move well and was in a disadvantage bcs of the dense reishi and 4) renji didn't know uryu's bag at all like that last attack for example

This is one of the best episodes in Bleach so far! I'm still editing my reaction video. I think this episode shows Uryu and Renji at their best right now. The side characters are finally getting some main character action. Ichigo is still trash. I can't wait to see Gerard Valkyrie in battle. The MIGHTIEST OF ALL QUINCY! It's a MIRACLE what Gerard can do! His Vollstandig is going to change everything. He was stopped too soon in the manga. Uryu is my third favorite character in Bleach, but he may have jumped to my second favorite now. Dude, he can drain opponents of all their Reishi? That's crazy. Then you have Lille Barro being the neighborhood sniper (Eazy E). Lots of body bags for Quincies. This episode is insane.
