Quincies have always been able to absorb and manipulate reshei. Uryu did it in SS arc. Quilgi did it in the 1st Cour and Yhwach did it when he made those stairs.
Just so you know: The entire battle between Renji and Uryuu is anime-only, we never saw Uryuu get any battle save for the final battle he has against [TBA]. This makes four battles he's had that expand his role in the arc and legitimize his title as Yhwach's successor and the holder of the "A" Schrift. Two against Senjumaru, one against Ichigo where we saw his Vollstandig for the first time ever, and now against Renji. As this fight never happened in the Manga, this also means that before the ONLY reveal of Renji's bankai in the entire series was against Sternritter S, and the only ability we saw was his Zaga Teppo. So all the techniques and abilities he showed off were brand new as well, as well as a few more abilities from Uryuu. It can be assured that long-time fans were FEASTING this episode since 2/3 was new content.

@@0eyes actually it depends on if he's using his schrift or not. if he's just using Quincy arrow stuff through his "bow" it's a solid thing (in Cour 2, Nimaiya is seen cutting actual bullets) but if he uses The X-Axis it's just perforation

If you think about this fight Uryuu was super nice to Renji look at the techniques and things he used while fighting Ichigo firing arrows with no bow from the sky in the ground and everything he used none of that against the Renji he also didn't use the antithesis against Renji like he did against Senjumaru he really restrained himself because Renji is weaker than the other two opponents😅😅😅. But mad respect to Renji The dude is definitely stronger than probably half of the squad captains.
When the title of the Next Episode was shown, And you sww the " Baby, Hold your Hands " you know it was a candidate for Anime fight of the Year 🥶 , it took so many years before it gets his Anime adaptation
Let's be honest, Ishida should have lost this fight 4 or 5 times already but they're clearly saving him for a second round with Ichigo or a fight with Y.H. or Haschwalth, so he's riding the "main character plot armor" train at this point.... Plus, that annoying "Antithesis" Schrift that he used against Senjumaru (right? I'm assuming...) that's always in the back of the watcher's mind and pretty much guarantees to the audience that he will not lose to a character other than Y.H. or Ichigo and certainly not this early into the fray. Maybe in 10 or 15 episodes time, in Cour 4. Great fight otherwise but the writing is having some troubles in making Ishida not seem like a sudden benefactor of the "mc plot armor" status (especially considering where he was at these past few arcs...) and keeping you in doubt regarding the outcome of his encounters.
When some of them got sniped.. I was worried for 2 sec till I realised someone wasn't there anymore.. I already know what's coming.. ☠️ tattoo if you know what I mean 😊

Remember, Lille does NOT shoot bullets, he erases whatever is in his crosshair instantaneously
In the released form. When he is in passive mode, regular energy bullets will be sufficient for him to eliminate lieutenants and captains.
