Bruce is such a class act. Because of my age the Kiss I fell in love was during the Hot in the shade and Revenge years, so Bruce is my top list. I honestly consider him the best guitarist the band has had, a total Master.
Bruce, Carnival of Souls is a Great Album ! I wish there could have been a tour for it. I can hear yours and Eric's influence all over that album. One of my all time favorites. Thank you for all you contributed to KISS.
Bruce is so awesome! I meet him in 1990 on the Hot in the shade tour in Muskegon MI. It was my first concert, I thought he was great. I meet Eric Carr also. Bruce is as good as EHV live. He doesn't make mistakes.
I agree 100%. Bruce was and will always be the best Guitarist that played in KISS. Ace will always be more iconic cause he is just an absolute legend but I personally think Bruce talent wise was better than Ace.
BUT still, as far as chemistry and sound, Ace Frehley was the man in his prime. I will admit I have heard him play some sloppy guitar recently, but the guy is 70 something, isn't he? I thought their songs were pretty weak with Kulick, especially 'Hot in the Shade' and 'Crazy Nights' albums. 'Creatures of the Night', 'Rock and Roll Over' , and the first three albums were the best, in my opinion.
I love Carnival of Souls. There's some really good writing and performances in that album. And looking at the personnel for each track, it's pretty much a Bruce Kulick album with KISS as his backing band.
I loved the demos and I loved the album, wish they had kept the original artwork or do 1 30th anniversary boxset and give it the love it deserves ( but it'll never happen)
Bruce didn't really impress me when he first joined and I kinda didn't really listen to what he was playing but then I saw them live with him and met him and I started to get his playing style and started realizing how good he was. Revenge is his album where he really plays his best on any KISS album. I've seen him with Grand Funk and he is as good as ever. Not familiar with his solo stuff except the song he did with the Knacks singer Doug Fieger which I was a big fan. I need to check him out. great interview so good that he is okay with what happen and he just goes on loving playing music and not bad mouthing KISS.
@@Prof_Tickles92 Because for a long time Eddie kept on and Ion about how Ace should be in the band and it went beyond giving opinion. He got pretty obnoxious. He also was harping on the HSE of backing tracks, prerecorded lead vocals due to Paul’s voice being what it is these days. He also took a very supportive position of Vinnie when he came out of hiding.
You know I’m my opinion a reunion should have been just a reunion , and maybe should have lasted for a world tour and that was it , because reunions aren’t meant to last , take a family reunion , they last a day to a week in most families , well that’s what the KISS reunion should have been , then after the world tour the unmasked KISS should have gotten back together and went on a COS tour , but the way they did Bruce was terrible in my opinion. I mean the guy never really felt like he was a full member anyway and then this happens to him. I was shocked when he didn’t return after they let Ace go. But in my opinion , the makeup has run its course , AGAIN. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Both Bruce and Bob helped Kiss so much with their sound, Both amazing guitar players and amazing people,Bruce is so much better than Ace and I love Ace but I'm speaking truth,The solo Bruce did on Rock bottom during the unplugged concert was absolutely perfect and flawless can't imagine Ace himself playing it that well on an acoustic guitar, The best lineup in Kiss was Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick,Bob also did an amazing job on American man thats on Alive 2,Kiss would have been so much better with Bob playing on everything back then, Ace was limited on what he could play,The Kulick Brothers could play anything
@@johnnypotenza7466 Well, I remember hearing some fuzzy/fumbled notes during Ace's solos when I watched the full unedited Unplugged. Now that I've thought of it though, (it's been 20 years or more since I watched it), I do remember them doing some songs more than once so maybe they used a cleaner outtake for the cd...that would explain it.
Yes, if Gene and Paul would tour with 4 persons, 3 or whom with a history of disruptive behaviors, addiction, blame shifting, no shows, missing flights, undermining band. Sure, let Gene and Paul roll the dice on that.
"For some reason"?? I know it's not a popular opinion but I think COS was a good album for what it was. It felt a lot more creative than anything that's come out since.
It's hard to hear something negative from Bruce and I respect that coz we all know negativity sell, especially on the net. But as maybe a too curious person I'd like to know how it really was for eric and him to know their time was over in Kiss (Peter didn't know he will get Peter sit at that time). Let's be honest losing a job like this one it's so hard to believe you're thinking "ok that's alright thats the way things go". Personally for me it would ha been a nightmare but another reason he stays positive is maybe he don't want to go public on this kind of feelings. It's possible too that he is just being honest, hard to know maybe one day Paul will talk trash about him that wouldn't surprise me 🙂. Yeah I don't like the way Paul often tell bad things about people who help him on the way.
i wonder if they ever wanted to give BK his own Kiss Character, what would he be? I actally can not picture it, i wonder if Bruce flat out refused to do the costume
Bruce Kulick was a much better guitar player than Tommy Square.. Kiss had a lot of shit material that they gave Bruce to solo over, but that wasn't his fault. Carnival of Souls had a lot of great riffs, and solo's on it. However, that album was lacking in the Lyrics department. But That's classic kiss's MO. They've rarely had great lyrics. Ace's solo's and their music approach sold the early kiss. Kiss could have named their band Chicks & Dicks, because that's over 90% of what their songs were about. Ace working with "Brown" from "Trixter" most likely isn't going to pan out well. Trixter sucked ass. But maybe with Ace there's some hope for the lyrics, but I'm not holding my breath. But I do hope it's good.
Bruce is such a class act. Because of my age the Kiss I fell in love was during the Hot in the shade and Revenge years, so Bruce is my top list. I honestly consider him the best guitarist the band has had, a total Master.
😆 You came in way too late
Bruce is a gentleman as well as a great player
Bruce you are as ever a class act, it's good to see you sir!

Carnival of souls is a great album, i remember buying the cd when it dropped.
I've always thought (for 30 yrs now) that Bruce was the best guitarist KISS ever had..
I agree 100%. Bruce was and will always be the best Guitarist that played in KISS. Ace will always be more iconic cause he is just an absolute legend but I personally think Bruce talent wise was better than Ace.
Ace certainly was not..

I love both Carnival and Revenge ✌
bruce is the classiest guy in rock.
I love your choice of words and attitude towards KISS. Very influential!
Your era with them was awesome!
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuce!!! What a super great player and total class act. Saw him on the Asylum tour, he was tops.
He was the best Kiss guitarist. Hands down!
I love Carnival of Souls. There's some really good writing and performances in that album. And looking at the personnel for each track, it's pretty much a Bruce Kulick album with KISS as his backing band.
I love "Carnival of Souls".
The best Paul🎤 And the best Bruce🎸and Eric🥁.
I love Carnival of Souls wish they toured behind that.
I love how Eddie Trunk is always, "I was there. I knew what was coming..." Yeah, yeah...you're special.
I loved the demos and I loved the album, wish they had kept the original artwork or do 1 30th anniversary boxset and give it the love it deserves ( but it'll never happen)
The video has the band mess up and restart one of the songs. I loved it that kiss left it in the video.
The Eric Carr & Bruce Kulick lineup is my favorite.
Carnival of souls. One of my top 5 albums from Kiss
Bruce didn't really impress me when he first joined and I kinda didn't really listen to what he was playing but then I saw them

great interview so good that he is okay with what happen and he just goes on loving playing music and not bad mouthing KISS.
Been a kiss fan forever and the reason i play is because of Ace and Angus but my fav studio kiss albums are Revenge and Carnival
Great album 😊
NOTHING BUT CLASS JUST LIKE HIS BROTHER BOB
RIP Bob Kulick
Bruce is such a good dude
Uh All Night is one of my favorite solos. He is the best lead in that Band
MTV was a great album, and revealed their ability as song writers.
Does that mean that Bruce Kulick is on Paul Stanley's blacklist for speaking to Eddie Trunk?
Probably 😄😄
Why doesn’t Paul like Eddie?
@@Prof_Tickles92 Because for a long time Eddie kept on and Ion about how Ace should be in the band and it went beyond giving opinion. He got pretty obnoxious. cool interview Eddie & Bruce..
Carnival of Souls is a great album!
Whatever you think of members Kiss and how they rank, Bruce is top when it comes to being a great guy.
"it was the day after my birthday " me me me... beware the me monster, Eddie.
Carnival of Souls to me is like Revenge 2 , to me. I really REALLY liked it.
Unfortunately, or fortunately the album got much overlooked once the Announced the Reuninion. But thats ok, I jammed the fk out of it for a long time

I believe they cleaned up some of Ace's playing on Unplugged as well.
not true I was there & know the camp

My favorite lineup was Paul, Gene, Eric Carr, and Bruce. Thank you Bruce!
That was my fav kiss also 🤘
@@masterj2682 🤘
I still think Eric and Bruce should have been included when Kiss got inducted into the R&R HOF.
He is very good, but Peter, Ace, Paul and Gene are the real deal!!! Original lineup, come on!!!
They definitely should have been included in the Rock and roll hall of fame ceremony!!!
I might get some hate for this, but Bruce is a better guitarist than Ace.
The Bruce albums are my favorite years and Revenge was my favorite. You're might be different and that's ok.
I really liked Carnival of Souls. I have the demo version and final sessions.
bruce was awesome with kiss best wishes bruce
i respect bruce i have always loved bruce i respect him for not wearing the makeup
Your a big part of kiss bruce
A no makeup tour with all surviving members ( including Vinnie) would please all the fans if Gene and Paul actually gave a shit. Whatever.
Yes, if Gene and Paul would tour with 4 persons, 3 or whom with a history of disruptive behaviors, addiction, blame shifting, no shows, missing flights, undermining band.
Sure, let Gene and Paul roll the dice on that.
And play more than the same songs.
i have read vinnie vincent saved kiss but Bruce saved them!
He did in the 80s when they were at their lowest vinnie saved them with the lick it up album paul and gene deny it all the time but its true
How did Vinnie save them? They couldn't sell out a bingo hall while he was in the band. Bruce could play but had zero stage presence.
Bruce and his brother Bob can play
Bruce was too kind and had too much musical focus to be Gene and Paul's " employee".. but on the bright side he became famous and made some money
That's why Bruce always has a gig somewhere. He's chill and totally professional. Guys like that are always in demand.

I felt Bruce was a great replacement after Mark as the band was shakey in the 80s.
i wonder if they ever wanted to give BK his own Kiss Character, what would he be?
I actally can not picture it, i wonder if Bruce flat out refused to do the costume
I enjoyed Carnival of Souls!! Buried Asylum Crazy Nights and Hot in the Shit
Bruce Kulick was a much better guitar player than Tommy Square..

Bruce could have been the Spaceman.
COS was not good, too rushed.
Enough kiss gawl
another show about kiss..ugh!
Of course Eddie was there...
When is he not🤣
