Any particular reason you're using olive oil instead of something like peanut oil? I've read in multiple places that olive oil is not recommended for use in deep fryers due to the lower smoke point.
@@baggor1 yes my family has deathly serious allergies to peanuts
i would recommend using avocado oil or refined coconut oil. Both flavorless and higher smoke point IMO

I combined your donut recipe with Carolyn Ketcham's Keto Boston Cream Cake Recipe to make Keto Boston Creme Donuts!!! OH MY!!! So yummy!!!
You know what might also be REALLY good as a glaze for these? Choc zero chocolate fudge sauce heated up in the microwave! Just dip the top and you have chocolate glazed donuts! Their caramel sauce is the closest to the real thing I have ever found. I drizzle it on keto ice cream and its amazing!
Dip the cutter in flour every time.
I have a suggestion or two. Brush the donut cutter with a little oil. Olive oil is not the oil I’d choose for a donut. My choice would be a neutral oil such as avocado or an “expeller pressed” neutral tasting oil. I’m hoping to try this recipe one day. I just found your channel through the Keto Twins.
Love all your pink-my favorite color! I read a lot of the comments below. I wish people would remember that it will be more than likely that no flour we use will ever be as light and fluffy as wheat. Everyone is just trying to do the best they can baking gluten free!
I made them today not sure I will again, not horrible but I wasted a lot of expensive ingredients for this. But live and learn.
@@shari2864 I try to only make a half recipe of everything Keto anymore. I have too many things in my freezer because I hate to throw them out with how expensive they were to make!! I have made stuff that we liked the first time and then the next time I made it it isn't as good. This same thing happens when cooking just gluten free!
Hello Victoria! Thank you for sharing your donut recipe with me. I will have to try those. I put together a container of your Perfected Keto flour yesterday and made your homemade Keto bread recipe yesterday too along with my recipe for Keto Crack Chicken Soup. My husband loved the Keto bread and so do I. That will be a keeper for us. I think I should have baked it a little longer but it was still very good. I put a slice in my air fryer for lunch. I also do not eat breakfast and eat my first meal between 12 noon and 1 p.m. Have a blessed day and please keep those keto recipes coming!

I use the carbmaster milk as well. It makes great yogurt in my instant pot!
It has nasty artificial sweeteners that are not keto friendly, try Fairlife milk or if you're in Texas Mootopia.

Victoria, if you use a slightly dampened cloth to whip over the mat before you sprinkle the flour, it will stay on the mat well.

If you like carbmaster milk wait til you get your hands on the yogurt. Love it. I use the carb master milk for my cream gravy and sauces now instead of hwc. Works out great .

I discovered carbmaster milk about 2 months ago. I love it! It has a little bit of chemical sweetener in it, but I don’t care. I love that milk!
Also, I use powdered sweetener in all my dessert recipes. It dissolves so much better :)

I am not a doughnut person but I do like your videos. Also, I am not a cat person (I have always had dogs), but that little kitten could make me change my mind. What a cutey!! I love it's markings.
I always said the same thing and we had dogs my whole life and actually said I would never have a cat until my husband brought home 2 rescue kitties. I was and am hooked 16 years into this. I would never get a dog again for several reasons, the biggest being I have severe autoimmune issues and cats just seem so much easier to take care of, no walking them in the rain or cold weather, just a whole lot of kitty box clean up. 😅

I have just been diagnosed with pre diabetes and I am a donutaholic!!! So you can imagine my sadness and pain….lol. I have been looking for a low carb sugar free donut recipe since the day I found out! Thank you sooooo much for sharing this wonderful recipe. Now…that being said…can you use stevia in place of the allulose and maybe corn starch in place of the xanthan gum? Thanks again!❤❤

At least 3 but it depends on the debris left from what you cooked. These donut didn’t fall apart as u see and didn’t leave dough in the oil it was still clean looking when I finished all of them

Yes it cooks the inside’s because frying does not. If u don’t pre bake they will be more dense and not fully cooked inside

Hi Victoria, one question about the yeast. Can I use rapid rise instant yeast? Also do you add actual sugar to the yeast?? Or Allulose? We bought the presto deep fryer (very exiting) I’m going to make these donuts next week before driving to Michigan from Connecticut. My husband and I always love to stop for donuts and coffee on the way but the processed flour and bad oils are horrible for you. Using your wonderful recipe and frying them in healthy avocado oil is just the ticket and we’ll bring these along instead. So excited to try these. Many blessings ❤
I don’t know about rapid rise sorry I use active dry but yes I use table sugar because the yeast eat it and produce the gasses so it ends up not effecting us at all

I really like Carrington Farms ground sweet lupin beans. These are from Austrailia and they perfected the low/no bitterness bean. And they are quick, 3 minutes in the microwave and they are ready to go also makes an awesome hummus sub for garbanzo beans. I add them to everything.
