👋♥️🙏♥️👋Dear sweet friends, Those subs are looking delicious . Enjoy them for me. Growing up we lived in the city, in a cold water flat. Second floor above an old confectionery store, they sold everything. Also Across the street from a bakery. We ate what we called hobo sandwiches. We had cold cuts, with condiments, lettuce, tomatoes. It was mostly, delicious baloney and the best cheese, bought from that store, on fresh baked loaves of French bread from our neighbor bakery. Haven’t had such good hobo’s since. 😆😅😂 You sandwiches brought these memories flooding back. Thanks for letting me ramble. God bless you both and have a great weekend. Love and hugs to you both. Every Super Bowl Sunday the youth group at my church makes sub sandwiches as a fund-raiser for their summer mission trip. They get their meat, cheese and rolls as donations from a local deli/bakery. On the Saturday before the Super Bowl they construct the subs with the meat and cheese, and they package up tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, onions, etc in individual baggies. It’s always a HUGE hit with the congregation.

Yes making sandwiches at home you can make them your own. I can't eat a 12 inch like my 16 yr old granddaughter can. I get a 6 in or kids meal if I go to Subway or Jimmy John's or even a place out of town. I found Aldi has real good deli Black Forest Ham in an almost clear resealable package. They also have turkey and I think roast beef maybe. I love Subs!!

We usually get Publix subs- but for a family of Four it can get pricey.
When I was in High School my parents would buy Gator subs for our lunches (and suppers, sometimes) from our local supermarket deli. The name is b/c of all the different meats, ingredients & overall size.
...No Cook Meals, especially on Friday and on Saturdays... Yessss ma'am..! Thank you both !!

A sub sandwich has got to be the best!! I am with Pa Jones in adding the strawberry to it....I love adding fruit to any sandwich, even sliced apple or blueberries. I add them to my 'savory' salads as well. Thanks for the tasty video!

We make turkey, purple onion and avocado salsa French bread sammiches, then wrap them in foil for 24 hours. So good.
I made ham salad ystrdy using garlic bologna. It was the best!

It's a coolapeno. I grew them in my little garden. I've never seen them for sale in my store. I wish I could find them.
my dad made the ULTIMATE AWESOMEST itailian ever,,, he would brush on olive oil and itailian seasoning and s/p.. then.... put in the oven on broil. take it out to cool... then add mayo and salami/ham/turkey. then cheese and pickles and lettace.and black olives chopped .. i could literally smell that sandwich all through the hallway and so could the other kids...1 kid BEGGED ME to have 1/2 that sandwich . i told him if he liked it , i could ask my dad to make him 1.... i never got so many hugs lololol he got his sandwich and he was in his glory!!!! you just simply cant beat a sub in any form;];];]

That was Boars Head. They're using Oscar Mayer it looks like. If you don't want to use cold cuts, have a veggie, BLT or meatball sub or use leftover ham or roast beef.
Ok…..I just think you guys are beautiful people. I know I won’t be able to talking you two into becoming vegans but can I just give you some important info regarding healthy food. I am in your age group and it becomes more important than ever to try to find healthy alternatives to some foods that are very bad for human consumption. The nitrites in the processed lunch meats are abysmal. Maybe you could use roasted chicken from Costco. You could use some chicken on your sandwich and leftovers in soups. ( Please leave off your shopping list any “cream of (fill in the blank) soups. So much garbage in those. You are already using great homegrown veggies……. Read those labels. Aldi is a great place to shop. Europeans are much cleaner eaters than we Americans. Wishing you all the best.
