the importance of sleep. sleep is the gate to creativity. For so long we have been told to do to the Max and sleep someday. Health, business and Spirituality unites. I love this Marie......
Much of what Arianna says really resonates for me. Her mother sounds like an amazing woman too. Respecting and connecting with everyone on an equal footing is such a powerful practice. Beautiful.
I loved this! She is a walking wealth of wisdom. So many fantastic points to remember; acknowledging people is the key to deepening humanity. Time famine was also a great teaching point. Thank you Marie for bringing these wonderful minds to your fans. Love you to the moon and back!
What an honor listen to both you inspiring women! The advice that really stood out to me was 'change the channel, darling' and giving yourself the freedom to just accept something won't get done and crossing them off your list. I am quite the perfectionist and have in the past put high pressure on myself. It's more than just a sigh of relief knowing I'm not alone.
Love this warm-hearted conversation and came away with so many tools: "change the channel" will stop my mind's badgering--freeing up a whole lot of room to...Thrive! Thank you Arianna and Marie!
Love this conversation! These are two of my most favorite top women business role-models. How inspiring to see them together. Thank you so much to both of you and especially to Marie for bringing this together!
She is truly amazing. What a relief to hear this from a smart informative business woman. As a pub. author I am exhausted already with fibromyalgia and on top of that I work so late trying to answer 30 or more emails a day. Yesterday I was so upset about trying to keep up that I was turning into a cry baby because I could not let go of perfectionism. Thank you so much.
Marie, that is so TRUE!!! I always hear this message too, "you don't make money while sleeping" "sleep is for the weak". But I realized, it is not right not neglect your health! You can work smarter instead of harder! You can do a lot in a smaller amount of time when you work smart. Shonda Rhymes even says writers need a break to come back writing even better. The brain needs the right care to function best! So, the opposite is true about those saying about sleeping!
I love the idea of taking care of yourself and tapping into your intuition for inspired action. I do believe our best ideas, wisdom and creativity comes from our intuition. I also love the idea of "don't miss the moment" and "change the channel." Enjoy success at the moment and prioritize what really matters.
All these tips are super important to me. The ones that resonated the most with me are about getting enough sleep, completing a project by dropping it, and changing the channel. I need to stop procrastinating so I can be productive in the time that I have and get things done, I need to drop the projects that aren't really aligned with my overall vision, and I need to "change the channel" when I start getting stressed out.
I loved how she suggested to acknoledge everyone in your life, Just say hello, smile. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone was just a little nicer by smiling to the barista, saying hello to the security in front of a store etc. etc. And I didn´t know she was greek! I noticed by her accent but it´s so cool that she´s from Greece (like I am) and was able to achieve so much!
I'm ready to let some projects go. Do I really need to learn Chinese right now? So great watching Marie's interview skills and hearing Arianna Huffington's powerful stories of wisdom.
I admire Ariana very much, so I was pleased to hear that she is also advocating for sufficient sleep. That is one thing that I defend for myself and am convinced it is a key to a happier and more productive life.
I love the three takeaways: "Everything changed in life the day she realized she had enough time for all the important things", "Don't miss the moment" & "You can complete a project by dropping it"
Absolutely excellent, Marie! I am so thrilled about such successful business women like you, inviting others to actually live & thrive! It is not easy when you are so driven... I have been sleep-deprived almost all my life... I get it, Arianna... It´s like you want to get everything done, and then some! Yet it is never too late to take charge of your health + your well-being, by letting go of some of the hustle that is so encouraged when you are in the pursuit of "success"... What is success for, if we are not fit, healthy and truly happy?
"You can complete a project by dropping it." While watching your episode I made a list of projects that I've carried around for years, like learning to sow. It feels really good now to just let that go and instead focus on my personal set of skills that are already there, waiting to be improved and mastered. Thank you for the boost of energy, I love MarieTV
my mother lives outside the two standards "money and power". Enough sleep; you know; when you wakeup without an alarm. Don't charge your instruments next to bed. When you feel trouble change the channel. One hour before bed time stop checking the email. Finishing a project by dropping it; that is if it did not fit your ability in other words "liberating". Thanks to both of you Arianna Huffington & Marie.
It is so good to know that there are people as generous as you with their time to share great advice about changing mindset and habits toward success. Thanks for sharing!
I think it's so important to acknowledge the people that we come in contact with throughout the day. I love this! I am always so busy and I will work on taking the time to say hello to people and smile. Human connection is important to me.
Insightful, uplifting interview! Soooo glad to hear women talking about getting more sleep, being in the moment and omitting things PERMANENTLY from that ever-growing list...onward and upward beautiful, brave WOMEN!!!
I absolutely loved this conversation. Cannot say enough about the importance of "the moment" and knowing when to "change the channel". Awesome insight and tips! Thank you!
Marie this was awesome! It is humbling to see how excited and honored you were to have Ariana on your show!! I will be working on two things, not missing the moment and changing the channel! I loved it and can't wait to read the book! Thank you!
I really was inspired by Arianna Huffington's insight and wish I could thank her in person for sharing her wisdom with us! I especially liked the part where she talked about letting go of the many things on her to do list. The part about Sleep Famine also spoke to me. I definately will be getting her book soon!! Thanks Marie for your great interviews and videos too!
I was so anxious about today's tasks before I watched this video, but just the pace and wisdom of the conversation really helped me connect to the moment and embrace it for what it was. So thank you for adding value to my day! My key take away is that extra 30 minutes of sleep. Ironically, I made an effort to get 8 hours in last night and woke up feeling so accomplished. This video was confirmation that it is not wrong to sleep 8 hours; which I have felt guilty about many times before. *We have enough time for the important things :-)
"Change the channel darling"...how we need to do this more often, both physically and metaphorically. Love this interview. What a terrific woman of wisdom!
As always another great video from Marie TV - thanks to Arianna for writing "Thrive" I love the story of 'Change the channel' & also agree with acknowledging people you come into contact with - this is something I do all the time it's amazing to see the look on people's faces when you speak to them no matter who or what they do in life.
This totally hit home. Been totally overwhelmed with work and things lately.. and it was good to hear how them deal with this and have inspiration for the other side. I desperately need some sleep, and the dragging yourself through the day thing instead of enjoying it really hit home.. It was exactly the right thing at the right moment. Looking forward to reading the book. But first.. to bed. I can do the rest in the morning.

Great episode Marie! I love the idea that you can complete a project by dropping it. I think that when we have alot of things we have been 'meaning' to do (especially if we are the idea-driven creative type) then they can end up weighing us down with a feeling of heaviness. So to just make peace and accept that we won't get them done, is a way of lightening the load and re-focusing us on what we can get done.
This is so true, you can not enjoy success if you do not see it, I believe the lesson from this is to enjoy every moment, as Bob Proctor would say "Calm down and Speed up"
Don't miss the moment! As a Work-at-Home-Mom, I make sure to stop what I am doing when my Little Girl wants a hug out of no where, or wants to have her sandwiches in a picnic. It doesn't take much time, but is SOO rewarding for her & me as well in the moments that we share!
loved this, love her! CHANGE THE CHANNEL DARLING! this interview actually bought me to tears! I participate in several women's support groups...they are all getting this link. many thanks!
Change the channel. Love it. Thanks for having Arianna Huffington on Marie TV. Incredible to watch two amazing women discuss important stuff like enjoying the moment. xo
I like when Arianna said that dropping a project is the same as finishing it. That works for me! I have a few projects, but with limited time, I need to focus on the ones that will get me where I need to go. As time goes on and context and perspective changes, it's possible that some of those projects will have long lost their relevance.
This has been one of my favorite interviews this far! I am such a fan of both of you and I think that of all the great tips Thrive has to offer, the "enjoying the moment" top is the one I need to work on the most. I am constantly working and sometimes it's hard to disconnect and be in the moment with my loved ones but I am making an effort to change that. Thank to ladies !
Arianna Huffington & Marie Forleo about the value of sleep, prioritizing what really matters, introducing recharge free mobile phone zone, review to do lists, taking care of yourself to improve creativity, don't miss the moment, making rapport "change the channel", ...Great. I would like to add try to discover where you are passionate about, improve your self-efficacy and make sure you will motivate yourself to learn and keep learning. That's powerful to have a life with more happiness, great results and where every human being must have access to. #dantefactor
I was touched by this interview, amazing. I am going to use this phrase every time my mind is unsettled " change the channel girl" love it.. Thanks for sharing.
You are much more creative when you are taking care of yourself. Creativity comes from the depth. When we allow ourselves to tap that wisdom that intuition, we come up with the beat ideas. Which also means we consciously make our subconscious connect with our unconscious.
Wow, what a wonderful, down to earth person (actually - both of you!)! Dropping some of those unimportant projects and calling them "complete" would open up a whole new world for me. Thank-you - I will be buying "Thrive" asap! By the way, great shoes Marie!!!
My moment in this weeks interview was connection. When I do take the time out to connect it is a wonderful feeling that shows me I am alive, well and one with the universe. ♡♡
I really loved the interview and for me the most important one was the relationship with my emails, as I try to answer all my emails within 24 hours as this is what I learned in my hotel school in Switzerland. However it is super exhausting!!!
"Change the channel" - love this brilliant advice! I, too, have found sleep to be critical for my creativity and ability to experience life at the highest level. This comes at perfect timing as I've just re-committed to going to sleep by a certain time.. thank you! :-)
Thank you so much for this video. I feel the spirit of acknowledging every one we come to contact. I start wit acknowledging you both,,,,,,,Once again thanks......about sleep yes as well....
the giving section as an exponential global reciprocity works miracles ... where we give value we loose confidence ..there is nothing more important of something else

Winding down at night and my bedroom being my sanctuary...that spoke volumes to me. Arianna, you are a joy!
I loved this! She is a walking wealth of wisdom. So many fantastic points to remember; acknowledging people is the key to deepening humanity. Time famine was also a great teaching point. Thank you Marie for bringing these wonderful minds to your fans. Love you to the moon and back!

Staying focused on those priorities that keep me on my game and in alignment with my intentional goals. YES

Awesome, I got a bit choked up at the end there when she spoke about her mother. Just beautiful !!!
I loved how she suggested to acknoledge everyone in your life, Just say hello, smile. I LOVE You can completely complete a project by dropping it. Genius!
Absolutely excellent, Marie! I am so thrilled about such successful business women like you, inviting others to actually live & thrive! It is not easy when you are so driven... You make a good point and I can relate to very little sleep. .life is so busy hard to do at times.

This morning I stayed in bed an extra 30mins. And today I very stop procrastinating and will verbalise my to do list. I love your videos. Thank you

"Change the channel darling"...how we need to do this more often, both physically and metaphorically. Love this interview. What a terrific woman of wisdom!
Awesome video (only about 15min) for women who are professional leaders and want the best in life outside of work.

"Sleep your way to the top" - AMEN I've always been a big sleep advocator. I need min 8-9 hrs to be fully charged the next day. lol :X
Love this video. Arianna Huffington's book Thrive is amazing - should be taught in all schools! #thrive
Yes, sleep is key!!! Consistent early nights helps with so many things!!!

One of my fav affirmations is "There is enough time for everything I need to do."
Wonderful job on the interview and I loved all the tips. I am a "Sleep-aholic!" PREACH IT SISTER!! Also, the "dropping it" tip was great!
The cell phone free zone for my bedroom sounds way better then what I've been doing. Thanks for these awesome videos.
Excellent video sleep importance great info thank you soooo much both of you.God bless your heart
Great discussion. It is important for successful people to stress the importance of sleep and health.
I am at the same place right now. Underminded myself ..., my health, ....not enough sleep ... know how it feels. Thanks for this piece.

I find it hard to enjoy the moment while I'm still in school and stressed about homework and work. Anyone else feel this way?
