Never realized until a while later after I watched the movie that the big long running joke of the movie is Wade always asking "Where is Francis" yet it was already established that only Wade, Francis, and Angel Dust knew that was his name. Everybody else only knows him as Ajax, so he was just killing everybody when they really had no idea who he was talking about😂😂
It has been speculated that Deadpool was doing that deliberately so he could go around killing all the bad guys.
Yeah, and he only found agent "Smith" after the Zamboni scene. "Tell me where your fucking boss is, or you're gonna die! ....in five minutes!" It always makes that scene funnier for me :)

Speaking of Blade 3, while Ryan was working on that Marvel movie, someone working there said his personality reminded him of Deadpool and told him he should read those comics. He did, fell in love with the character, and Deadpool became a passion project for him.
He read one where Deadpool said he looked “like Ryan Reynolds and a radioactive Shar Pei” and it was history
so something good did come out of blade 3 after all

Feeling no pain is a very serious sickness that humans can have. The people die really really early sadly. You never feel when You have a broken appendix and always die to it. You not feel broken bones and destroy them completely. You need like a full body scan once a week just to make sure you not dying by some accident
This is 99% false. Its not a sickness it's congenital. You can't contract it. And it's about 1 in 125m that have it. Most only have it in a certain area. And there are only around 300 known cases worldwide.
Has anyone mentioned that 20th century Fox only allowed enough money for the 12 bullet gun fight at the beginning because they didn't think this movie would do well and didn't want to use a huge budget on a massive gun battle at the end. That's why Deadpool forgets his bag.
I'm pretty sure that action scene budgets aren't measured by bullets...

Not being able to feel pain doesn't mean you can't bleed out.
If you can't feel pain, you could get injured and barely know it. Brings a new level of extremity to "where did that bruise come from?" and "I dont remember cutting myself"
There's a girl who has this. She got hit by a car and walked away like nothing until someone contacted the ambulance to get her to a hospital
If you wanna look it up look bionic girl. She didn't get any injuries besides surface level like no skin on the hip and tire marks on chest. Since she didn't tense up.
Its technically what leprosy is too with its nerve damage, they can injure themselves without knowing and end up with serious infections... Pain is important.
thats why you need 2 super powers: healing factor, AND immunity to pain. then you don't feel pain and you heal from anything that could be causing said pain so you don't worry about it.
Yeah--you don't even have to feel no pain for it to be a problem. I have a really high pain threshold, and it gets me in trouble. My appendix burst several years ago, and I didn't realize it--so when I realized something was wrong, and went to the hospital, I was there for 2 weeks and they had to basically open my entire abdomen and vacuum me out.
And I'm currently recovering from another surgery because of something I didn't think was a big deal--until I finally figured I'd better get checked out. Turned out to be multiple hernias. Just got cleared to go back to work next week.

It's a very late celebration. March 8th was a while ago.
Not a lot of people talk about a detail about Deadpool’s healing factor; the fact that it didn’t cure him of his cancer, because of the healing factor it keeps regenerating his already dying cells so Deadpool is in a constant state of dying. His body just heals way faster than the Cancer can kill him.
Plus on the Francis part, he never got any info out of anyone based on the fact that nobody that works for him know him by that, since they call him Ajax
The reason he keeps asking "what's my name?" is that Francis doesn't like his name so he calls himself Ajax because he reckons it's cool. Wade keeps calling him by his real name to annoy him and Francis keeps asking Wade to call him by his cool name but Wade won't give him the satisfaction.
There's a line in a 2006 deadpool comic when someone asked deadpool what he looks like under that mask and he said Ryan Reynolds crossed with a
Sharpay , when ryan saw that he said he needed to play this roll 🤷
I get a huge kick out of the part where Deadpool says "Wait!! You're probably wondering why the red suit? Well, that's so bad guys don't see me bleed. This guy's got the right idea, he wore the brown pants." 😆😆😆🤣🤣
I swear, Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. He nailed the character so damn well.

Stan Lee did not create the character of Deadpool. He was created by Rob Liefeld (he was one of the patrons of the bar in the movie). Stan Lee was one of the writers of Marvel Comics (he started in the 1940's when it was known as Timely Comics as an 'assistant'). Then in the 60's he became essentially the 'face' of Marvel which continued till way past his retirement from writing (he left in 1990)
Stan was such an amazing person. He ALWAYS loved the fans. He went above and beyond to answer letters from kids reading the books.

Fun fact. Negasonic Teenage Warhead is an actual Marvel Character. Though in the movie they made some changes to the character obviously.
The character was named in honor of the Band Monster Magnet. The lead singer Dave Wyndorf is a MASSIVE comic book fan, and they have tons of comic references in their song titles and lyrics throughout the decades. The name was a nod since the character's creator, Grant Morrison, loved the band.

I love how they freak out about Deadpool killing in this and the second, even NSTW gets upset with Deadpool killing as their trainee, yet NSTW killed so many in that one battle alone. We see four (at least) confirmed, on screen kills, and the only ones Colossus saves from the falling Heli-carrier are Angel and NSTW.

Yes, essentially his skin is a mass of wriggling tumors constantly in regeneration. If it were depicted properly, there'd be an uncanny wiggling going on under his skin at all times.

Deadpool said how long it has been at the beginning. Something like 1 year 3 months and 4 days. When you watch Deadpool 2, there are so many references from this movie and others.

S&S - as you asked - Stan Lee's wife Joan (nee Boocock) was a hat model when they met in NY in the US in the 1940's. She herself was basically a Geordie from Gosforth . . . in her later years she did some voice acting in a few Marvel films. Passing away at the age of 95 in 2017 . . .
I think she voiced Madame Web in the Spider-man cartoon from the 90s as well
He once said that he learned about Deadpool when he was working on blade 3. They gave him comics and at one point DP gets asked what he looks like, his response is a mix of Ryan Reynolds and a shar pei. I'm glad he made sure to leave that joke in the movie
angel dust (the woman on francis's side) is actually a retired mma fighter with a 7-1 record and at one point was known as "the face of female mma" but she adamantly refused the title.

So the thing is, I always thought about the "steel candy cane" coming off in the fire... the movie shows well where it iron rod got stuck in, the floor was simply wooden plank, which burned out in the fire. Wade prob just removed the cane during his miserable burning process, as the floor burned into ashes, and the metal rod burned him from the inside, he most certainly would remove it to stop it from burning his insides out. then he just kept burning and healing and burning and healing again, until all became just ashes, and he healed all back again.
This movie was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. I worked in the bar where Wade saw Vanessa before she got kidnapped. I used to bounce there back in the mid 90's. The No.5 Orange.
You should never force people to do things but seeing Deadpool I would say is an exception
Hey, growing up poor or rural is nothing bad. I loved it when we had the one friday every month when my dad drove us to the next village close to where we lived and the only pizzeria also had VHS rental.. we (three kids) could choose one VHS eatch and a pizza.. (family sized pizza were $8 back then -so I guess the normal size were $4-5 depending on toppings).
And holy heck when we went into the town 30min away to see a movie on the cinema. Dad let us go to the candy store and pick up a basket and fill it up from the pick n' mix.. Those were the good days from the childhood. :)
If you watch interviews with Ryan he states that him and a couple of other people wrote the script and he had to push for years to get it made. He also spent a bunch of his own money paying the production crew. He didn't make hardly anything from the movie
ryan is a billionaire now off of his marketing business that he bought, so soon he could afford to produce his own movies if he liquidated all his assets into cash and knows the movie well be sure fire hit and make a lot of profit. within the next ten years ryan will be producing them full time most likely.
You know, it's funny... Tonight, I was thinking about re-watching my copy of Deadpool on DVD, and then I bring up RUclips, and here's this! Suzy, despite you being annoyed by Ryan Reynolds previously, I am glad that you enjoyed the movie. By the way, somewhere on RUclips, a Deadpool Musical exists. I highly recommend watching that too!
The actor for Francis was on Game of Thrones as Daario Naharis before being recasted.
Deadpool is so chock full of pop culture references that it's not going to be anywhere nearly appreciated in full by someone that hasn't seen many movies, shows, and other events.

Stan lee did *not* have a finger in making most marvel movies, he just has cameos in them because of his contract, even stan's roll in creating marvel characters was MASSIVELY overstated, with his role being less that of a writer and more of an editor, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko are the real minds behind the marvel universe of the 1960s
The first Marvel movie was "Blade" movies with westly snipes. After all 3 then it was Iron Man. But if you want it in chronological order

Ajax was a Persian warrior that conquered Greece. He has plenty of lore of being a strong warrior and maybe that's why Francis chose the name.
Also why the dish soap is named that, in the greatest play on words ever. It destroys grease.
IIRC, this movie originally hit theatres on the Valentine's Day weekend, and they did a few previews that made it seem like a sappy romance flic lol
The game didn’t do that well but the story was still funny and highly recommend it to anyone.

There's a theory about his mutation being so powerful it enhanced his sense and emotions too making him completely aware he's a character in a universe hence the reference to everything but also when he's walking down the street that people weren't actually looking at him it was just imagination of what people might think of him
