Always wondered how Mike would have handled the situations in these last episodes. He was always the epitome of calmness under pressure. Even more so than Walt.
Their partnership/alliance honestly reminds me of what Walt said to get Hector to team up with him against Gus. “I know you despise me, and I know how badly you want to see me dead. But I’m willing to bet there’s a man whom you hate even more.”
@Dahmen-ll8cd To be fair, Hank don't care about Jesse and Jesse don't care about Hank. They both have been betrayed and stabbed in the back by Walt. They both want the same thing though... Walt to pay for what he has done.
SO, a bit of nerd trivia here: Babylon 5 is an excellent, if low budget, sci-fi show from the '90s. It has a small, but dedicated cult fanbase, of which I am a member. It was referenced here by Kuby as a continuation of the fact that Badger and Skinny Pete are fans of sci-fi, as they have referenced star trek before. The Babylon 5 reference is a bit more interesting, because in a single episode of the 4th season, an actor named Bryan Cranston made a small guest appearance! Sorry, just needed to nerd out for a moment. I'd love if y'all watched B5, but I know that won't happen. It's a pretty hard sell for people who aren't enormous nerds.
When did Walt "set the precedent?" He killed Krazie 8 and Emilio to save himself and Jesse. He killed the gang bangers to protect Jesse. He killed Jane to protect himself and Jesse. He ordered Gayle's murder to save himself and Jesse. He killed Gus to save himself and Jesse. How does killing Jesse fit Walt's pattern of killing to protect Jesse? Walt is a monster but he loves Jesse like a son.
Aaron Paul in this episode is so incredible- his ability to show how tortured he is feeling is so raw and real. I think when he was doing the recording, it's the first time he ever calls him 'Walter White', every other time he refers to him as Mr White because he still sees him as his teacher after all this time. At the end of the day, Jesse is not innocent but he has definitely been manipulated by someone he sees as an authority figure. These next episodes are SO GOOD.
@@Al-ji4gd nope. That takes agency away from so many great and smart characters. Walt did topple the stability of Gus' empire and Mike's cool way of doing things for example, but not all was exclusively because of his decision making. Btw, just so you don't harp on about me being a Walt fanboy, he becomes fucking deplorable as the series progresses....you know almost as if it's the point of and in the name of the show.
You're about to go on the greatest 4-episode ride of your life with the end-game of this brilliant show (the next two episodes especially). Excited for you both, and love that I get to experience it all over again with your videos. Love your reactions and commentary.
Breaking Bad is a show where, if you're only looking at it through one set of eyes, you're going to miss a hell of a lot. If you disagree with someone else's take, that doesn't mean you can't appreciate their perspective. I think you can look at a scene of Walt and Jesse viciously unloading on each other and think "this relationship is so toxic!", or you can look at it and think "Walt is just like my dad, I love him so much!", and at least to me both perspectives make sense.
Oh, because Walt's just an innocent angel, isn't he? You guys say this as if Walt isn't manipulating someone, lying, or just doing some terrible shit in practically every scene he's in. You're supposed to dislike Walt. Do you really look at every scene where he's emotionally manipulating Jesse or his family and just thinking "hell yeah, Walt!", or what? News flash, but Walt isn't a good person. You're *supposed* to know this.
In some scenes; 1- walt lies we know he lies/skylar knows too 2-walt lies we know he lies/skylar doesnt (ex: walt telling sky about visiting his mom) 3- walt lies we dont know that he lies/ jessie doesnt know ( walt persuading jessie and us that gus poisoned broc ) Bryan cranston does all of these amazingly with adding some small acting magic
Walter cant act for his life. He can tell a story and its plausible. But its painfully obvious hes telling an elaborate story, making sure that all the details fit.
Recall that Gus was going to kill Hank. How exactly was Walt going to convince Jesse to turn on Gus? Poisoning Brock was necessary. The only other alternative was to go to the cops but that's no guarantee his family would be safe. It's horrible but Walt chose to endanger a kid to save his own kids.
@@SpicyMarcoBBThat's beside the point. She's just straight up telling Walt to kill someone. Doesn't matter who they are. Skyler is just as horrible as Walt and has been for a looong time.

The girls in the previous episode: Ugh Walt doesn't really give a fuck about Jesse, just wants him gone to cover his ass The girls this episode, when Hank tells Jesse that it looks like Walt cares about him: Yeah exaaactly! See? I mean I actually kind of agreed with their previous statement, it's a sick and twisted way of caring, but Walt does care for Jesse WHILE also looking out for his self interests. Two things can be true at once. But it seems like, anything Walt says is bullshit, gaslighting etc. since the start. If another character says it, it's true. The same can be said for Mike wanting to off Lydia and Walt not wanting to. Suddenly Mike's play is smart, Walt's wasn't. They've clearly established 'goodies' and 'baddies' in a show of increasingly grey characters (Walt being the darkest of them all). Not a great way to watch this show imo. But still, cool reactions sometimes.
Awww, love what Arianna said about Hank and Marie being their favorite characters, and how she couldn't believe it, given how they felt about them back in Season 1. It's been a great ride with these two excellent reactors! Individually, and together!
Its crazy how they still blame Walt when Skyler suggests to kill Jesse. There’s never any accountability given to Skyler, its always Walt’s fault. Its like they don’t consider Skyler to be a character with her own agency even though she’s fully partnered up with him at this point because she doesn’t want to lose the comfortable life they have
lol what comfortable life? she's stressed constantly, lost her relationship with her sister & brother in law, her family is seconds from breaking point... she's not perfect and she's made mistakes but you are making skyler out to be some vapid shrew desperate for a life of luxury, rather than someone who is frightened about losing her family and is making bad decisions as a result. if walt can have the "he's trying to protect his family" defence then so can she.
@@coffinflop She ruined her relationship with Hank and Marie by her own choice. Walt was willing to turn himself in but she convinced him not to and came up with the idea to make the video pinning everything on Hank. I never insinuated that she's vapid, so you're probably just projecting your own feelings about her onto me. Before Hank found out, Skyler was all in with Walt after he left the drug business and was living comfortably. To me Hank is not the good guy in all this that some viewers make him out to be, nor particularly admirable in general. He doesn't care about saving lives -- he certainly shows in this episode he doesn't care if Jesse lives or dies. When they need him he's "the kid," when/if they don't he's a "junky loser murderer." Hank didn't actually care that any of the nine guys in prison died -- he just wanted them alive so he could bully them into testimony for his case, which is all about his own ego. His job is bullshit, drugs shouldn't be illegal, if you want to swallow something or inject something or sniff something into your own body, it's absurd for a federal agency to prohibit it, and it's just an excuse for guys like Hank to be meatheaded bullies, and a motive for guys like Walt and Gus to exist and do what they do in the first place. And while Hank is a surprisingly decent detective, he's a lousy cop and a terrible interrogator. When he isn't beating his suspects, he interrogates them with a condescending, insulting attitude generally counterproductive to suspect cooperation. He couldn't even get a meth-head in the throes of withdrawal (Wendy) to give him a proper confession he's so clumsy and patronizing. Not saying Walt and Gus and even Jesse are good people, just that Hank isn't either. At least Walt is initially motivated by the security of his family's future, and Jesse actually has genuine empathy and remorse. Hank just wants to bully people -- he gets off on it and made a career of it. He treats his wife and his partner like sh*t most of the time, and is motivated by the the thrill of the hunt and getting "the bad guys," not the saving of lives.
This whole cycle of bloodshed and horrible situations started with Jesse when he went to go kill those 2 drug dealers he could've kept out of it and Walt had to save him then Gus decided that they are too big of a risk and was going to kill Walt and probably his family ... and when Gus didn't have Gale, Jesse was too stupid to see that Gus was manipulating him to kill Walt anyway ... yeah Walt is evil bad liar and stuff but he had to do something extreme ... what was he supposed to do to survive ... can someone explain

Jesse really should have just done this plan instead of getting scared and changing the plan just like you really should have just gotten it in that van and not told anyone that he figured out about the rice and cigarette he should have gotten far far away from Walt and changed his identity
These reactors are impossibly judgmental. My goodness. If Walt decides to kill Jesse, they blame him. If Walt does not want to kill Jesse they complain "what's one more". If Skylar says "Kill Jesse", they say Walt set precedent. If Saul says "Kill Jesse" they say "Look how surprised Walt is". At no moment can they empathize with any reason on why Walt does what he does. I mean Walt is no saint, but neither are Skylar, Jesse and Saul. Just painful to see how people can be blinded by sobbing and soft individuals who are equally evil but are just insecure when someone is mentally strong.
Skyler went all mafia mom boss lol it is shocking for that to come from her but we must realize that she already knows that Walt will kill to protect the family so what is one more and even though she has met Jesse and knows how young he is i think she still thinks that he got Walt into this business when really Walt already had the idea and it was from Hank that gave him the idea to start cooking for money because he showed how much money they make and invited him on a ride along but Skyler i think blames Jesse for Walt starting this business she has no idea it was Walt who blackmailed Jesse into cooking with him, and she is in full blown protection mode at this point as she should be. I do wish she would have asked what Walt did for Jesse to be so mad at him.
I guarantee if Hank was in Walt and Jesse's situation say by accident and Marie or any one of his family was in danger of dying because of these top drug dealers and cartel members guarantee he go shoot Gail or go kill Gus if he threatened his family as he sits there and calls Jesse a murderer although he did kill someone technically not the direct threat but knowing if you kill that person you and your partner will live eeeks that is not a decision that was done lightly and I wonder how Hank would have handled that maybe he would have just gone straight for Gus but you can't take him on one-on-one because everybody around him will go after him
That's how it was supposed to sound. Skylar has always been able to see through Walts lies, and the audience takes the view of Skylar in that scene because we both know he's lying.

I think Walter wouldn't tell that lie because it makes him seem weak.
Almost at the end of the series and they still don't understand why Walt does the things he does and get so worked up over it. Honestly made watching their reaction unpleasant sometimes
@m_i_s_t_a_h__j_ it actually hilarious at this point how bad their takes are 😂
don't watch it then, joker fan
Yeah I stopped watching this channel. They get legit frustrated at fiction entertainment.
Just came back for last 5 episodes. I can’t wait until they see Hank goes b4 Walt
Then piss off. You're the one who decided to watch nearly all of the episode reactions, so who is the clown here? Dumb Walt fanboy.
The Babylon 5 reference was a poke at Bryan Cranston. He was small character on the show. A hero of the shadows wars in Babylon 5
Yeah.."everybody's bad" yet Walt gets All the hate.
Because he is the villain, is that complicated?
Lmao. Uh... yeah? Which characters watched a young woman choke to death on her own vomit?

Always wondered how Mike would have handled the situations in these last episodes. He was always the epitome of calmness under pressure. Even more so than Walt.
I think he would have sent Jesse to Alaska and just kill Walt
Wait MAPLE has a dog named AUTUMN?
She has a sister named Pumpkin too!
I really only have one question left: Who hurt you guys? I mean jeez 😂
Daddy issues
Jesse and Hank are both in the same boat... the lies and betrayal from Walter White AKA Heisenberg!
Their partnership/alliance honestly reminds me of what Walt said to get Hector to team up with him against Gus.
“I know you despise me, and I know how badly you want to see me dead. But I’m willing to bet there’s a man whom you hate even more.”
Yeah, and Hank is willing to get jesse murdered to catch walt .... what a good partnership they have 😂😂
@Dahmen-ll8cd To be fair, Hank don't care about Jesse and Jesse don't care about Hank.
Always wondered wtf that show was
When did Walt "set the precedent?"
He killed Krazie 8 and Emilio to save himself and Jesse.
One correction he killed Gus to save himself
@@alexarias5717and Jesse
@@franciskaranja9293 Gus would have kept working with Jesse
Aaron Paul in this episode is so incredible- his ability to show how tortured he is feeling is so raw and real. I think when he was doing the recording, it's the first time he ever calls him 'Walter White', every other time he refers to him as Mr White because he still sees him as his teacher after all this time. At the end of the day, Jesse is not innocent but he has definitely been manipulated by someone he sees as an authority figure. These next episodes are SO GOOD.
"Yeah, no, Mr. White's GAY for me, everyone knows that" 😆
Wow they even hate Walt when he’s trying to avoid killing Jesse
I literally wasn't surprised by that 😂 everything is walt's fault in their minds
@@Dahmen-ll8cd Because it literally is.
these girls are so dum it's crazy bro i hate watch cause it's so facinating lol
@@Al-ji4gd nope. That takes agency away from so many great and smart characters. Walt did topple the stability of Gus' empire and Mike's cool way of doing things for example, but not all was exclusively because of his decision making. Rewatch the show, you've clearly missed a lot. Btw, just so you don't harp on about me being a Walt fanboy, he becomes fucking deplorable as the series progresses....you know almost as if it's the point of and in the name of the show.
@@MrGhostnextdoor So what are you babbling about, then?
No, it IS toxic, there is no perspective unless you're some weird Walt fanboy.
These two hate Walt so much it's tanked both of their IQs. So oblivious it makes this reaction insufferable.
why are you watching then?
Oh, because Walt's just an innocent angel, isn't he? You guys say this as if Walt isn't manipulating someone, lying, or just doing some terrible shit in practically every scene he's in. You're supposed to dislike Walt. Do you really look at every scene where he's emotionally manipulating Jesse or his family and just thinking "hell yeah, Walt!", or what?
News flash, but Walt isn't a good person. You're *supposed* to know this.
“They said Walter is bad and I disagree, I’m vewy angwy”
@@deco_boiWait. Walter isn't the hero? He's not the white night who's come to save the family from the bad things in the world?
@@coffinflopbc its the greatest show of all time
In some scenes;
1- walt lies we know he lies/skylar knows too
2-walt lies we know he lies/skylar doesnt (ex: walt telling sky about visiting his mom)
3- walt lies we dont know that he lies/ jessie doesnt know ( walt persuading jessie and us that gus poisoned broc )
Bryan cranston does all of these amazingly with adding some small acting magic
What could possibly go wrong?
Everything.
Walter cant act for his life. He can tell a story and its plausible. But its painfully obvious hes telling an elaborate story, making sure that all the details fit.
The acting in this show is just next level
Recall that Gus was going to kill Hank. How exactly was Walt going to convince Jesse to turn on Gus? Poisoning Brock was necessary. The only other alternative was to go to the cops but that's no guarantee his family would be safe. It's horrible but Walt chose to endanger a kid to save his own kids.
Yes. That was Skylar telling Walt to KILL Jesse.. scenes like this prove that Skylar made the same bad choices that Walt did..
*Not to mention SHE’S the one who came up with and wrote his “confession”*
Eliminating a threat is bad choice? When she has no emotional attachment to Jesse and all she knows about him is that he’s former meth head
@@SpicyMarcoBBThat's beside the point. She's just straight up telling Walt to kill someone. Doesn't matter who they are. Skyler is just as horrible as Walt and has been for a looong time.
Skyler suggesting to murder *one* person makes her as horrible as Walt? You're grasping at straws. Illogical.
@@SpicyMarcoBB that's literally the same exact rationalization that Walt had for every single person he killed or had killed..
26:22 New Mexico can get very cold. The elevation and low humidity can lead to 30 degree swings in temperature in a day and from anywhere from 27 F to 97 F over the course of a year. Just because it’s a desert doesn’t mean it’s always hot 😉
The girls in the previous episode: Ugh Walt doesn't really give a fuck about Jesse, just wants him gone to cover his ass
The girls this episode, when Hank tells Jesse that it looks like Walt cares about him: Yeah exaaactly!
7:30 A nice little Easter egg, Bryan Cranston had a tiny character role on an episode of Babylon 5 before he was a well known actor.
"Let me get my coffee......I want to judge Walt, but faster." - Maple. 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
"Gaslight her about the gas, yeeeeeah!" LOL. Maple is in rare form on this one!!! :P
"Let me grab my coffee. I want to judge Walter but faster" 🤣
Awww, love what Arianna said about Hank and Marie being their favorite characters, and how she couldn't believe it, given how they felt about them back in Season 1. It's been a great ride with these two excellent reactors! Individually, and together!
Walter has done nothing wrong. He only wants what's best for his family
The next four episodes coming up aren’t just phenomenal, but LEGENDARY. You’re in for one wild ride and I’m so excited
Its crazy how they still blame Walt when Skyler suggests to kill Jesse. There’s never any accountability given to Skyler, its always Walt’s fault. Its like they don’t consider Skyler to be a character with her own agency even though she’s fully partnered up with him at this point because she doesn’t want to lose the comfortable life they have
Feminists are usually hypocrites.
lol what comfortable life? she's stressed constantly, lost her relationship with her sister & brother in law, her family is seconds from breaking point... she's not perfect and she's made mistakes but you are making skyler out to be some vapid shrew desperate for a life of luxury, rather than someone who is frightened about losing her family and is making bad decisions as a result. if walt can have the "he's trying to protect his family" defence then so can she.
You dont get it dude
Women do bad things because men.
There you go, now can we agree for the millionth time that men bad and Walt bad?
@@coffinflop She ruined her relationship with Hank and Marie by her own choice. Walt was willing to turn himself in but she convinced him not to and came up with the idea to make the video pinning everything on Hank. I never insinuated that she's vapid, so you're probably just projecting your own feelings about her onto me. Before Hank found out, Skyler was all in with Walt after he left the drug business and was living comfortably. Now she's doing everything she can to keep that life going, even if it means cutting ties with Hank and Marie or killing Jesse

Notice the blue waterfall at the pool like his blue meth, and his talk and hug with his son reminded him of Jesse so he called him again to really try to talk with him he wasn't even going to try to kill or trick him but Jesse was si scared that he would he doesn't realize he still cares about him but he should know better than to threaten Walt but i guess he thought he already has a hit out on him so it don't matter oh but it does he didn't want to lose Jesse's loyalty he really thought he could get him back and he didn't want to have to kill Jesse but once Jesse threatened him and he knows he has lost Jesse's trust and loyalty and wants to actually threaten him he stooped to that level and that was the most disappointing thing that he did of all the times he saved that boy and he doesnt even know he is snitching on him he just knows he is a threat at this point but he knows now he will never have him on his side again after Jesse said that Jesse messed up again

With the bizarre and obvious lies walter keeps coming up with on the spot he would have made a great vorta
ohhh you sweet summer children 😭😂
Why are you stoked about Todd’s uncle having a job to kill Jesse? Weird.
Jesse snitched. I hate Walt as well but Jesse knew this life. Going to the police is crazy.

Let's take a swim in the hotel pool while we are hiding from a psycho 😂😂😂
Idk why the show's called "Breaking Bad"... if anything they're building it
I guarantee if Hank was in Walt and Jesse's situation say by accident and Marie or any one of his family was in danger of dying because of these top drug dealers and cartel members guarantee he go shoot Gail or go kill Gus if he threatened his family as he sits there and calls Jesse a murderer although he did kill someone technically not the direct threat but knowing if you kill that person you and your partner will live eeeks that is not a decision that was done lightly and I wonder how Hank would have handled that maybe he would have just gone straight for Gus but you can't take him on one-on-one because everybody around him will go after him
It's so damn cringe listening to him lie about the gasoline situation. "I tells ya I really ought to sue AM/PM, psh ya know, amirite?"
That's how it was supposed to sound. Skylar has always been able to see through Walts lies, and the audience takes the view of Skylar in that scene because we both know he's lying.
The way he says “I suppose in my naïveté” it makes me want to peel my own skin off
Lol yeah the way I always took it was he’s more than capable of lying to people involved in the business (or even Hank & Marie) but with Skyler he starts sounding like a jackass 😂
