You can stream on almost every social media app these days, why on earth would people pay for this? What's most ironic is, people can stream privately right here on RUclips, and send the link to whoever they want.
Audio quality and ease of use will be the big factors for those who will use this. But you have certainly a point and I would add discord to those options as well.

I’ll stick with my Cubase system, works fine and multiple people at the same time, yes needs an app on the receiving apparatus but can also remote record as well
Despite Waves having some excellent plugins, after their latest fiasco (and the INFURIATING one machine license model - you know) I have sworn off ever buying any more Waves plugins. And I never use subscription schemes. Given that this plugin doesn't really work, there's not even a temptation to test it... (and I have other options already).

Which "fisasco" do you mean? All the upsetting posts about the subscriptions are plain nonsense, because it was resolved in just a few days. And Waves Stream works perfectly fine over here, so not sure how you can tell that it does not?
Why Is there No Download ability From the Send app in the DAW to the Receive app in another DAW or a mobile Device!? the ability to send a stream and the receiver save it, so you can actually take it to the Car or Headphones for multiple listens...have a save and Play function on the receive app as apposed to relying on the sender to Play it...! If this Feature exists i cant find it.... otherwise a great Plugin....
Hi mate. I'm the product manager. How is what you're asking for any different to sending a mix to dropbox and downloading it on your phone? If you're in your studio and you're trying to reference your mix on other speakers, that's what the QR code is for. Who else is playing it if you're the one working on it in the studio? I loop mine, and take a walk or go to the car. Feel free to drop me a line if you've got questions. Cheers MPA
It's needing work with the dropout issue, only 1 connection, not 2 way communication, and above all still costs $9 per month. Not worth it as it stands.
2 way communication works perfectly fine, two send plugins, two recieve plugins. Dropouts are bypassed by chosing your setup appropriately, and making sure your internet is strong. Feel free to drop me a line so I can help you check it. Cheers MPA

@@mpacreative Hi thank you for your reply. I can stream a "work in progress" output using other ways. In my opinion, it does not necessarily need to be directly from the DAW. The DAW is a tool I need to use for other projects. For me , I dont want to stop using my DAW to stream a work in progress to a quality control team. I like Waves, I am using some waves plugins. Only this particular plugin is not satisfactory for me when I try to simulate how to use it in my mind. This is my opinion, I dont know how others would use it.
@@torre-calendacion There are always different ways of achieving something and sure you can e.g. export an MP3 and send it around, but key here is: Instant collaboration. If you have ever worked with clients and have a tight deadline, exporting and sending stuff forth and back is not the best way of getting things done - particularly not when the client wants changes. With Waves Stream you can easily get your client onboard, play the original, stop where changes are required, add them and play on. IMO quite useful.

I use Sonobus , it’s free and work very well. I love waves plugins but now I don't know if I'm going to change for this plugin…
Yeah Sonobus is cool, but involved to install.
