      Unless they make their pricing more competitive or have something really innovative and groundbreaking, it doesn’t matter.
      $40 for the Waves vs a new version of a $200+ plugin is still a no-brainer to people who need simple resonance suppression.

    I just got this. It has almost all the functionalities of TBPro Audio DSEQ3. Kinda like a carbon copy of that plugin but with some buttons and knobs placed in different places. The resonance detection is ok. It can be quite aggressive or very subtle.

    I love TBTechs interfaces. I really think they are a reverb, a delay, and saturation plugin away from giving Fabfilter a run for their money. If they havent already. Theyre all great.
    I also regret wasting my money on Acustica Dove. And they fact that that plugin installs i think 15 different version of the plugin is criminal. Lol.

    Thank you.When you pressed delta I got the impression that Soothe2 and Curves Equator also lower the volume. And SpecCraft only removes dirt/noise. Unless, of course, all the settings were the same. Maybe SpecCraft actually adds the frequencies that were removed during the cleanup process? I don't know. So I'll have to think about it.

    Didn't expect to preffer waves one, but I do. Although I find quite good for some hard scenarios

      Mega low CPU , on a M3 max almost no added load even running 100 of them

    I downloaded the demo. Using Ableton 11.1 on Windows 10. Everything normally works fine. Once SpecCraft VST3 is loaded on vocal track and is put to work; my entire Ableton get stuck. The audio continous playing, but none of the interfaces work. Once vocal stops, everything gets back to normal.

    ミキシングが楽しい人はすでにsoothe2/gulfossを手に入れているでしょう。そしてsoothe2/gulfossは使いすぎると音が死ぬから、というところまでいってやがて共鳴こそ音楽!となっていると思うので今更このプラグインが出てきてもインパクトは少ないのではないか(個人の感想です

    I still use OG Mspectralcompressor for this. Still has more features than all the other resonance suppressors.

      @@JustMee-k8q Thats true if you buy it on its own but Melda has a pretty affordable rent to own bundle with all their plugins and I have not been tempted to get other companies new stuff cuz melda ends up already having that feature. Also when I look into the past about when they added it, they added most off the latest "cutting edge" features years before anyone else.

    Thx 4 all the sup vids. Pls check up TDR Arbiter and compare it. Same but different. "Adaptive" only. Has ext sidechain input. In particular, pls check and compare the Arbiter's de-ess use case when in wideband mode, on a voice track, i.e. not a mix. Also pls elaborate on side-chain sup use cases like reverb ducking and vocal/instrument-mix ducking. And all other sup use cases you normally do of course. I use it all the time - am I on the right track?

    i was thinking to getting soothe 2 on rent to own,
    but i need to reconsider again,
    should i get soothe 2 or spec craft ? (btw i hate waves plugins)

      The speccraft demo runs without enddate, ( and cant save etc.) should be plenty of time to try it out. .Soothe2 also has a trial for 14 days I think. Just download and test them against eachother. Either will probably do what you're after.

      ​@@mygoogle1525Look into Wavesfactory Equalizer. It's not an EQ. Not exactly resonance suppressor. But similar concept. It's also latency free. Dev said that some "latency free" plugins might only process every 5 or 10 samples or something. He said that plugin is true latency free and processes every sample of data. So it can be used live as well. Crazy if true.

      @@mygoogle1525with waves new hardware(7000$ yikes) you can load ANY vst 3rd party in realtime. To our studio it’s worth it because we’re able to run synths, compressors, autotunes, etc without having to be restricted to UAD or other dsp enabled software/hardware deals. Kinda game changer while we’re tracking but I know it’s meant and could be used for any live situations

    I own the tbtech equalizer and love it. But i found it unusable cause just 1 instance and my daw starts lagging like crazy. Unfortunately i cant use it...

      Its 4 years old by now I think, lowering prices would be the smart move. But the brand is very strong still, and people are sensitive to that.

I bought Soothe about 2 years ago and I had no trouble a couple days ago buying Waves Equator because I like it better and does the same job and it is a fraction of the price. Too bad SpecCraft didn't come out before, I would have chosen it instead.

      Oek invented this technology. Soothe is the industry standard, they don't need to lower the price. Same as FabFilter don't have to do that even if there's like 10 Pro-Q copies on the market. There's a pro-q on steroids from TBT called Kirchhoff-EQ. It's around for like 2 years or something. It does more than pro-q, is it better? maybe, but it's not the standard and never going to be. Simply because it's a copy of someone's great idea.

    So when you raise the EQ line are you getting more or less suppression? Meaning when you create a point and lift it….does it make the frequency louder or more suppressed?

      It supresses more with this plugin, just like sooth2. Waves equator works the other way around, which I find more intuitive.

    Ya know i don't think waves equator is bad, but I feel like it's best performance is on the bigger picture (which it does well) especially say sidechaining say vox to instruments bus (special shout out to sidechaining piano to vox is insanely good) Unless i'm using it wrong however, when it comes to "surgical" I don't think it really holds much weight in comparison to reso, spec, or soothe. I will say though UI wise however, reso and spec are easily on top.
    (also if i'm just using equator wrong pls help HAHA)

    Do you think you'll use SpecCraft over Waves Equator? I just quik-reviewed it and I personally think it's just as good-but a little less approachable and more expensive. I also get the sense that there's a suppressor backlash on the rise. I loved SpecCraft, but I'll probably stick with Equator atm. Great review!

      No i dont think I will. And that has nothing to do with the quality of SpecCraft, but simply because I have equator, soothe 2 and some more variations of the same concept.
