      Thank you so kindly. I do have a few more Moose videos coming up and several videos from last year‘s hunting season. In a couple months I will switch more to winter sports. Winters are magical in Alaska if you do them right. Thank you for watching.

    A friend of mine rents these argo machines out to powerline maintenance companies, he removes the balloon tires, and replaces them with turf tires like for a golf cart. It seems to help get back some of the horsepower that you lose a bit when running tracks. But it works both ways. Cool 😎 Landcruisers.

      That would be an interesting business. I’m sure the maintenance keeps him very busy.

      This video was taken at the apex of beauty of our fall. I try to have enough tools that I can fix most things that would break down on my Argo. Thank you for watching.

    What a beautiful and fascinating video. Of course, I am not happy your track came off but I was engrossed in watching you fix it. I had no idea what to do. Why do you think it came off? Maureen

      The tires were inflated properly, that’s what tightens the tracks, I suspect I just hit a rock or something right and it pushed the track underneath the tire. Just guessing. Thank you for watching.

    Great Video...was expecting a little hunting, glassing, but I know how it goes! ARGO looks like the way to go for tracks. My polaris tracks are a pain to get back on.....Not saying it was fun for you, but the ARGO looks like it has it's advantages.

      Thank you. I broke this trip into four videos: The first was an old mining homestead, this one was the second, then we another breakdown with the other Argo and finally a video entitled, “Advanced Camping”. The final video is really the hunting video. We did not harvest a moose hence the title. I didn’t call it hunting because I don’t want to mislead people. On RUclips, it’s only hunting if you are successful.😉

    When you going to upgrade to the Alaska Bush Tracks?

      I love the performance of my Adairs, and I know where I can go with them. I have a buddy who has been running a set of AK Bush Tracks. Each brand has pros and cons.

    Have you thought of getting the Alaska bush tracks

      Love my bush tracks. Those loose rocks in steep country are an issue with any tracks.

      I have a buddy who has AK Bush tracks. His are first generation, steel grouser, tracks. His machine shows up at the beginning of this video. Me, currently I love my Adair tracks. Each version/model of track has areas where it excels and other areas of weakness.

      I would love adairs or bush tracks but the 18” rubbers are best (for me) plowing snow.

    • @RaisedinAlaska
      @RaisedinAlaska  14 дней назад +1

      @@danpekrul4331 A perfect example of different tracks excelling with different uses. Mine would not do well with that.

    are they reliable, will it last 10 - 15 years with proper maint. The engine also concerns me with longevity

    • @RaisedinAlaska
      @RaisedinAlaska  11 дней назад +1

      Replacing bearings has become part of my annual maintenance, I replace one or two a year. Thus far the engine is holding up very well. It will be a real bummer to have engine or transmission problems 20 to 30 miles away from the trailhead. It is a worry I have.

      @@RaisedinAlaska i appreciate your time, I'm from Northern Ontario, so it would be great to have an all around machine, but I'm always alone, so reliability is a must. Keep the video's coming

      They are pretty awesome little machines. That side, they do have limitations and problems.
