I just had my daughter a couple days ago. I understand why you are using the star link man. Don’t let people put you down for keeping in contact with family. Alaska is no joke!! Be safe and if you need anything I’m in the Fairbanks area I have lots of tools and lots of experience fixing stuff!
Why do people think they are something special dealing with harsh weather. The Scandanavians do it with easy and quietly. No complaints or comments on how tough it is. It's just part of their lives. Perhaps, people in Alaska aren't as connected to the land as they think they are?
@@TomUlcak well idk much about the Scandinavians but I know Alaska can be deadly for those that are not prepared. -50 degrees will kill you within minutes if you are not prepared for it. I have personally lost friends due to weather conditions in Alaska and I’m not complaining just reminding people to be careful.
Don't put gas into the hub pods for fuel no way to vent the pressure could even cause you hub pods to blow a hole in it start a fire. It states diesel fuel only follow instructions because they are for a reason.
If the main use for this is hunting. I think you should add a rooftop hunting blind. To keep it lightweight, use pvc pipe to make a pop-up frame. Then use camo netting to cover once your parked.
@@darinrobertsI don’t think you read that right… and there are a lot of other people (not this OP) that are criticizing him bringing starlink. Which is just dumb.

@@iainengland8058 you obvious never been trapped up with 2-3 men for weeks before. No deodorant or baby wipes solves that smell, only a full bath or shower.
So one thing you can count on in Alaska is for the weather to be unpredictable. Even in the time of the year your going you can have some wet chilly weather / nights. The thing I can't live without when camping in the bush is to have a small wood burning stove setup in my rig. Even just to just take the edge off, boil water or dry clothes, it's a valuable addition if you can make it so in you Sherp. They make some very small wood burning kits or you can get creative and make something that's not permanent. You open a small hatch, slide you chimney pipe out and setup you little stove. You will thank me later if you make it happen. Good luck and God bless! So after thinking about it a minute more I think I'd also setup one of them offload camper awnings. They tuck up nice and tight to your vehicle but then swing out and around when your ready to use it. That way if weather is bad or if you have muddy gear you could have an awning over the back hatch and it really will expand your living space.
At first i thought when you said you could drive from Northern Minnesota to Florida without refueling I thought that was too insane to be true. I did the math, though, 1600 miles more or less divided by 85 gallons (25 + 15 in each wheel) is roughly 18 miles to the gallon, so not entirely out of the question. I'm not sure of the sheer time it would take to complete such a task would run you out of fuel before then, though. Just engine-hours wise. Great video! Good luck on your adventure and I look forward to seeing a Moose harvest!
Just had your channel pop up in my opening page and love these things . Have seen other vids on them and wish I could have one . Sweet set up and have subscribed for updates on your trip . Safe travels and take care ! You are doing it as I write .

Man THIS IS THE VEHICLE WE NEED IN THE PHILIPPINES RIGHT NOW AFTER THE BIG TROPICAL TYPHOON!!! TO USE AS EMERGENCY VEHICLE FOR RESCUES ON FLOODED AND LANDSLIDE AREA. WAY CHEAPER THAN USING A CHOPPER❤.
You could have used 550 cord to secure your beds in. Drill a hole between each hole you currently have already and you can basically sew your bed into it's current place. The 550 cord is more maliable and much, much stronger than the zip ties and will not snap like plastic. Just saying. Also, building a roof rack would be a good thing, even if you only run a net across the roll bars so you can put all your water proof boxes and cases on the roof of the Sherpa instead of on the ground.
why not put the GPT on a RAM mount flex-arm or flex-rod. It's an articulating gooseneck that locks in place when you need it, and when you don't, you have your forward visibility back. You can likely also dynamically position it out of the way of the window. Good luck!
A basic setup I have I use in my Honda HRV. I do my regular job a couple of days a week and I do my deliveries for Uber eats and all that outside.
