Route: strava.app.lin...
can never get emough of the Langdale views :-) another great ride Dave
Thank you ☺️
Definitely one of the best places dave awesome scenery and a great ride good on ya
Thank you mate, beautiful place
Great video 👍🏻
You're right, it's stunning scenery, especially on the descent down into Great Langdale. I love the place.
I did it in December last year and stopped for a well earned coffee at the New Dungeon Ghyll afterwards.
As you say, you need to be careful on that descent. Also, after the 25% climb there was a bit of loose gravel on a couple of the bends that you have to watch out for.
Well done for doing the climb on your Canyon...💪🏻
Thank you that’s kind of you to say, great stop for a coffee too 😊
Another great scenic video as usual. It sure is a beautiful place, I cycled up Blea tarn from the opposite direction, Ambleside and Great Langdale last year and did a video about it, but that was on my orbea gain electric road ebike. Super well done to you for cycling up it on your Canyon, your fitness progress is very impressive, well done😊
Thank you Tom much appreciated as always 😊
Thanks for the great video. Stunning views....I live in North Leeds not far from the Dales. Wish we had the views but I wouldn't swap the width of the roads and the traffic for those in Lakeland.
Thank you ☺️
noticing your fitness keeps getting stronger
Yes it’s becoming really good, crazy that 2 years ago I could even get to the end of my street 😊
There’s no denying it’s a beautiful place to cycle, but I’m already a Lake District convert, as I used to do a lot of solo hiking up those fells, bagging the Wainwrights 😉👍
Bagged the wainwrights 3 times and climbed them all my life until 3 years ago I fell coming down Helvellyn and damaged my hip so after recovery took up cycling 😊
@@LakeDistrictcyclist that doesn’t sound good! I stopped fellwalking as I suffered really bad knee pain, mainly on descents!
You're right, Blea tarn is not what you need at the end of the Fred 😂
Must feel like Everest after doing Hardknotts and Wrynose after over 100 miles 😊
@LakeDistrictcyclist I've only done the Fred once, but Blea tarn was quite pleasant after the previous two. Hardknott was a brute, that was an arm workout more that owt else.
Im watching this whilst drugged up with pain meds, after being hit by a car & sent flying off my bike on Wednesday 😢
Omg, hope you are ok, what happened mate?
@@LakeDistrictcyclist I was going around 25mph downhill & a lady driver pulled away from the opposite side of the road in the same direction as me, she clipped my back wheel & I was sent through the air. Landed on my head & shoulder, left with concussion & shoulder injury. New MIPS helmet was cracked all the way through & possibly saved my life. Just very sore & tender atm. Also dealing with the police, as she left the scene, but the shop nearby has footage on their CCTV, so she could find herself in hot water with the law. Bike is damaged, as well as my clothing & gloves. Hoping to claim it all back from my cycle insurance.
Left the scene, could have killed you shocking to leave you. Have police got her number plate? Hope you feel better soon 🙏
@@LakeDistrictcyclist hopefully they will off the camera footage. It was very scary to experience, but it won't stop me getting back in the bike as soon as I can. Keep safe 🙏🏻
