Great capture of those low flying jets. I remember walking on the fells once, and jets flying through the valley below me. They are on you without any warning and certainly make you jump 😀

Good video.Newland pass and Honister pass Only a few people are able to climb it without stopping. If you still have a gravel bike, try it with that one that has bigger gears. I remember that the first time I was able to do the two climbs without stopping was in 2019 with a hybrid bike with three chainrings at the front. With the normal road bike it took me another year until I was able to do it.

I just the trail in May, rode first to Buxton, then down country lanes to Bakewell for lunch, then I did the trail from that end. I found it a little too rough for my 28c tyres & was happy to reach the end & get back on tarmac.

Not poor at all! Think of all the people who havent even tried it! That time is YOUR mark to beat next time out.

Great video! I mix my rides between road bike and ebike. Find that my average HR is about 10 bpm less on the ebike so great for recovery rides or just exploring. Generally go further on the ebike so possibly burn more calories. Definitely not cheating. Just curious. I have the same Mahle motor on a Merida bike. What do you have your levels set at? Mine is 30%, 50% and 100%. I’m in the city so use max to get through traffic on to cycleways then drop it back. Btw I’m in Australia but did Lake District last year. Beautiful part of the world.

Do you have any issue with shift at lowers gears in a little noise and I was wondering what it cost you to upgrade it to hydraulic breaks

There’s no denying it’s a beautiful place to cycle, but I’m already a Lake District convert, as I used to do a lot of solo hiking up those fells, bagging the Wainwrights 😉👍

Great video 👍🏻 You're right, it's stunning scenery, especially on the descent down into Great Langdale. I love the place. I did it in December last year and stopped for a well earned coffee at the New Dungeon Ghyll afterwards. As you say, you need to be careful on that descent. Also, after the 25% climb there was a bit of loose gravel on a couple of the bends that you have to watch out for. Well done for doing the climb on your Canyon...💪🏻

Another great scenic video as usual. It sure is a beautiful place, I cycled up Blea tarn from the opposite direction, Ambleside and Great Langdale last year and did a video about it, but that was on my orbea gain electric road ebike. Super well done to you for cycling up it on your Canyon, your fitness progress is very impressive, well done😊

My first road bike was the Endurace from 2020. It was a great bike. Did my first 100km in a pair of Converse shoes too on that bike 😅

Hi mate just completed great dun fell. I've just bought a range extender it saves battery anxiety but it doesn't give any extra assistance , its the best thing I have ever bought for the bike.The wind was light on the way up 😊

Hi Dave. If you are coming to the Peak District and going to ride Winnats Pass go very early morning as it gets very busy with traffic and the road is narrow.
