    Marshmallows from scratch? You ma’am are the GOAT! I saw this BBQ Flavored bourbon at my local store. It actually tasted like BBQ too! Sweet and smokey….and weird, lol! I’m not gonna be sipping on it but I’m definitely gonna cook with it. Fun video friend!

      @@RonOnTheGrill what DONT you do with bacon jam?! Favorites include: hiding underneath the filling of deviled eggs. An accompaniment on a cheese board. A topping for avocado toast. A spoonful of joy on a really bad day. The most amazing BLT ever. Possibilities are endless! You’re making me realize I should probably do a video on this 😂

    You put up with a ton of sass about your measuring! Trust your instincts Jess! Homemade marshmallows are such a treat to do, but bourbon maple?? Fantastic! Beautifully done my friend!

      THANK YOU! I certainly do put up with a lot of sass, and will make sure said sass giver sees this 😂 I believe in measuring with your heart… but apparently some people prefer the metric system 🤷‍♀️

    Vanilla bean paste is so much better than extract! This video reminded me that on thanksgiving, I noticed my candy thermometer was broken... With so much going on, I just threw it out, but now I can tell my wife to get me one as a stocking stuffer or something... Unless I need it earlier to make these... This sounds great, but I'm on your side about free hand measuring. I'm not at a restaurant, especially a chain, where everything has to be the same every day for consistency... Appreciate the creativity that comes with "we need another glug of bourbon"... Very entertaining

      They're SOOOOOOO good. The bourbon taste is subtle- it's in the nose and on the back end, so it's not overpowering. Super tasty!

    Your recipe says 1/4 c maple syrup and 2 c sugar.
    But the video says 2 cups maple syrup and no sugar. I went by the recipe rather than the video because I'm a pastry chef and a sugar syrup is typically a liquid +sugar.... this is why proper measurements are important when you are making an instructional video. I'm gonna continue with the maple and sugar and hopefully it's not messed up.

      Yes, I made a mistake in the video and realized it after filming and editing. The written description and recipe on my website are correct.
