      @@SavidgeKitchen I'm in Mo, in a few months it could be 20 and a half a foot of snow. I'd be good to not see that again. I'd rather it was 100 than 40.

    I used to be all about measuring with a food scale, but then I baked with a trained pastry chef... She kept telling me not to judge her for not being exact... Baking, I still feel I should weigh, but I consider what you did here cooking and I cook with how I'm feeling. Just a bunch of guesstimates. Even last night, I was wondering if I added something, like you with the vanilla, and I was like, this is homemade bourbon vanilla, can't hurt to add a bit more... I'm down to try these syrups and possibly incorporate them into our pumpkin pie martinis... Might make it more cocktaily..

    I tried to make the brown sugar version, but it didn't thicken much at all. How long do you let it boil and then simmer?

    Making the maple syrup version tonight. Is it shelf stable or should it be refrigerated?

      I would refrigerate this one because of the pumpkin. I typically keep my syrups in the fridge anyway (just cause it takes me a while to get through them) but the vegetable addition here makes that seem even more prudent. Let me know how it goes!

      @@SavidgeKitchen Thanks! Thats what I did. I think if the super content were upped, it might be shelf stable but I don't know how much more maple syrup you'd need to add, and that would def change the taste.

      I don’t see why not! I have not personally tried it, so I can’t attest to the success. But as long as you follow proper canning procedures, seems like it would be safe :) Let me know if you try it!

    Ordinarily, I''m not a fan of "pumpkin spice season", as it's all just too sweet and artificial, but you have me sold on these!
