What causes the actuator male piece constantly slip out of the female clutch ring? I put it back and it will was a couple loads and wam bam back at square one. Have to put the actuator arm back in ring.
My lights below the center knob on my washing machine wouldn't come on so I tried to reset it by unplugging the washer. Nothing happened. It sounds like the motor is working but the actuator isn't turning. I unplugged it again and then plugged it back in and before the sound of the motor started I pushed the start button for about 10 seconds. Lights came on I washed a load and it worked fine.
I have this washer but it’s not the centennial. It was washing off balance for a while making banging noises. One day it did that I stopped it and it hasn’t worked right since. It first started to not spin the it just drained the water. Now it will only put a little water in and attempt to spin but nothing else happens.
@@BeyondtheBoom hey, i think i have this same issue. does it try to spin a few times making a sort of noise that sounds like it is spinning too fast for about 1-2 seconds and then stops, trying again once or twice before moving to the next step of the cycle? the water drains but the spin cycle just tries and fails a few times. did you resolve it by replacing the actuator?
My problem is not that it won't spin but that the spinning no longer gets the contents dry enough. Would these instructions still apply, or would something else be wrong?
I saw another video that covers this problem. If the basket is spinning but too slowly then something could be caught in between the basket and outer case such as a sock or something got pulled into the space causing friction against the basket not allowing it to spin fast enough to ring out the clothes. Hope this helps!
My Maytag Atlantis washer won't start at all. Unplugged it for a few minutes, still didn't work. Wife left the lid up when it was filling, forgot it was up, put the lid down and tried to select a wash cycle and nothing happened. Is it a fuse?
The problem I have is on my Maytag top load bravos that after my rinse cycle on the “normal” setting it’s suppose to start the spin cycle, but it does not spin, so if I just switch the large knob from “normal” to “rinse and spin” everything is good. You think it’s the spin actuator in that case as well?? Thanks
How do you clean the clutch. Watched your video replacing the actuator, but dot have a clue about the clutch. Single widow trying to learn this stuff is frustrating!
My issue is if I put the washer on normal cycle it wont drain all the water out and wont spin them dry but if you select spin drain or spin rinse it will work that way just not on regular cycles

When my top load Maytag washer is filling up, it makes a short hum or buzz and does one loud click. Agitator still agitates ( we just replaced the actuator because it was not agitating, but this buzzing started before it stopped agitating) we also replaced the drive hub and splutches. Any ideas? I cannot find any videos reciprocating what my washer is doing. Model number- MVWC565FW1
Mine sounds like it stuck between drain and spin. I have unplugged and plugged back in and sounds like at the end of drain but at end of that no spin and no lights on panel with what cycle it is on. Is that the actionator or clutch.
I have this same Maytag washer. Everything works OK but the spin is not fast enough to remove the wetness from my clothes? What is the most likely cause?
I'm having the same problem, any suggestions? I don't think this is the fix we are looking for....let me know how yours turned out and I'll continue to look for solutions. Thanks
Hello, you can hear my washer try to engage spin mode, it will do it twice and then quit. Would this likely be the spin actuator? Have already replaced the agitator hub once and think it might be stripped out again. Another video said the spin actuator was a faulty design from the factory. Gonna dig into it here shortly, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you
@@BeyondtheBoom Hi, Changed the actuator and the clutch but now when it gets to the spin cycle it spins but it is very loud. No grinding just loud spinning. Also having problems with calibration. Could the transmission be going bad be a reason for the loud spinning? About at my wits end with this thing!
@@BeyondtheBoom today i removed actuator and powered it up remotely..the little motor would run but i noticed no lever action..seems the cam arm has a broken post..so i got a new actuator on order..be my luck i probably broke the post messing with the splutch assembly lol
i have a maytag washer and basically it fills up with water then won’t go into the next cycle and stays like that and you have to manually put it into the next cycle and wait for about 5-10 mins for it to turn on or sometimes it actually works and goes through all the cycles but it’s so inconsistent. also, whenever i put cold/cool water no water will come out only hot. any ideas what it might be?
Hey there. There's another video that after replacing any part , you have reset the machine codes by turning the big dial counter clockwise and then clockwise. ????
I have a similar model, everything operates during the different diagnostic tests. But when actually trying to operate the machine during a regular wash cycle, it will go through sensing, wash and rinse and when it gets to the spin cycle, the green light is on, solid, and the machine just will not run the spin cycle. Will replacing the actuator possibly fix that?
how the hell do you determine the damn spin actuator is bad??!! My washer had a plugged drain. Cleared it out, filled it with water, then it spun and drained completeley. Then I washed a load of clothes, and stopped with a full load of water! Why????!!!

Going to order the parts now, should be able to fix this week
Good luck

There Two Styles Clutch Actuators used One is Black W10913953 like this one hes using and the Other One is Red W10006355
Hey, I replaced the red spin actuator but now don’t do anything. What you suggest me? Thanks
Agitator on my works great. It over spins and it pushes all clothes to one side and gets off balance
That's a common problem with most washers
What causes the actuator male piece constantly slip out of the female clutch ring? I put it back and it will was a couple loads and wam bam back at square one. Have to put the actuator arm back in ring.
Make sure it's not binding up when it should move
Do you have a video of removing the clutch or cleaning it?
There may be one on my channel
This Vid helped a lot, thank you very
Glad it helped.

if washer is not spinning but also making a loud noise, would it be something more than the spin actuator?
Possibly.
Very interesting. Ours will go as far the wash and won't advance. It will spin if Drain & Spin is selected. Just very weird.
It could be the control nob

The click may be the valve opening for water or the shift actuator. We ended up eventually replacing this because it went out again.

Not sure but replacing both is easy
We replaced the actuator and it still won't spin unless you put it in drain and spin mode.
You might have a controller problem.

I can’t find model # on my Maytag washer
It should be somewhere on a tag.
Lift the lid. Look at the bottom of the lid where it connects with the body of the washer. Model and serial number are visible.
What is the spin part for a white spin actuator?
I wouldn't have any idea. You might try a search for your particular model.
