It's not a bad truck. I too have a 2023 F250 STX Oxford White with the 6.8L mini zilla with 3.73 gears. I pull a 8,000 LB Travel Trailer and average between 8 to 9 mpg towing. It's not going to be for everyone, but for 60K, this day and age, don't think you will go wrong. Have about 14,000 miles on mine and getting ready to go in for the 2nd oil change. This is my first Ford. Before such had a 2019 Ram 1/2 ton and Chevy 1/2 ton's growing up. Did notice had to run a little better fuel then 87, was starting to get a ping city driving in the higher gears. Enjoys and Safe Travels!
I bought a 24 6.8 3.73 xlt It has all the stuff you wanted Sirius , console. , power foldin and extended mirrors and black appearance package . 20 inch wheels factory bed liner lighted bed. Rapid red have tri folding soft tonneau cover , folding tailgate step absolute necessity. If you use cruise on long trips you can get 16 or better. Only have 4000 on mine and it’s a great truck. Oh the most important thing is a/c vents in rear of console for passengers (dogs)lol
Try getting a gen y gooseneck box for the 5th wheel it will help out a lot instead of carrying around a 5th wheel hitch on the back of your truck. I’m trying to decide if I should get a f350 srw XLT tremor with the HO diesel or get a f350 srw with the new gas v8. Because I go outdoors a lot and going to soon buy an equipment trailer with a gvwr of 14,000lbs for hauling equipment and other stuff and a 5,500 pound boat with trailer. Because this be my first hd truck I had a 2008 f150 with the reliable v8 and I tow a lot but I’m thinking about upgrading to a 1 ton srw
I love your truck very nice. The STX package is a bargain. I don’t blame you for getting the 6.8. I have driven both the 6.8 and 7.3 and maybe it’s just me but I think the 6.8 is a better running engine. You’re tipping and response is better. The shifting is better. I just like it better overall maybe the 7.3 is better when the weight gets heavier but for most you’re driving without a trailer the 6.8 is the way to go. I had two F150 and I know what you mean the eco-boost engines have a lot of power, but the chassis is not capable of handling what the engine can put out on your power mirrors you just gotta make the mirrors part of your pre-trip. You really should be doing a full walk around anytime you connect the fifth wheel your eyes are your biggest asset man. Just check everything over good and pull on the mirrors as you walk around, make this part of your pre-trip it won’t be a big deal believe me you don’t want the power mirrors. They are more problems and they’re worth down the road. The power extending heated, puddle light 360 Camera mirrors over $2000 a piece from Ford . Get your oil changed you’re overdue. You’ve been towing with a new engine. I would’ve dumped that an oil at 3 to 5000 miles already. Keep your interval at 5000 miles maximum especially when you’re towing. Your roller lifters and camshaft will appreciate it. That’s the only issue with those engines.

I agree at sub 60K it's hard to beat! Be safe and enjoy.

Nice! What was the MSRP?
Nice truck..
Thank you!

I looked it up. You’re right it cleans up the bed. Too bad already spent a good chunk of change for the hitch. lol
14K load. I would recommend going diesel if you have the funds. You might outgrow a 7.8L V8 quickly. 350 gas might be a good option too.
Nice rig. What happened to your front bumper? Unloaded what mpgs you seeing? How's the sound system? 6 speaker?
haha. I hit a boulder.
Unloaded I get about anywhere 14 to 16 MPG. Th sound is good but not bad ass. I believe it’s 4 speakers.

Great Review. What grade of gas are you running?
Thanks. Just 87.
This truck should have big center screen and digital dash hopefully ford listens and gets it done for 2025
That would have been nice to have.
I bought one and took it back. Had a ridiculous whining noise at idle. They said it was normal but I couldn’t deal with it.
That sucks. What year was the truck?
@ 24 model, they said it was normal, and all of the other trucks with 6.8 sounded the same. I couldn’t tolerate it.
@wesleydean4228 i think i know what you’re talking about. It does hove that whistling sound on idle.
