I made this bear the other day, the first pattern and make i've attempted. Wish I'd seen there was a video first! This is really nice of you to put a tutorial out, i'll need to look on here from now on before I try anything :'D Worked out surprisingly well but the help you give in this video would have made it a lot easier I'm sure! :)

Thank you so much! You confirmed what I suspected- the darts in the foot should absolutely be done prior to stitching the perimeter . The pattern specifically tell you to stich the foot dart after the rest of the seams. I've been sewing for most of my 65 years, that just didn't make sense to me.

The instructions have you leave the top of the foot open and sew it after the front and back are sewn together. You're doing this differently. Why is that? Is it easier the way you're doing it?

I liked your bear video. Any chance you could show how to make other stuffed toys or even animal cushions (like an owl), but hand stitched as I don't have a sewing machine. Thank you
Thank you for your comment. I have another soft toy video - how to sew a soft toy rabbit. It's very similar to this one and is derived from the same pattern. I'm sorry, but my videos are geared towards machine sewing, not hand sewing. However, you can pick up an entry level sewing machine quite cheaply from many of the chain stores. I would recommend you give it a go!

Thank you for this video! I was stuck on the dart on the foot. What size safety eyes and nose did you use?
From memory, the eyes were approximately 15mm across but I just picked the ones that looked right and in proportion

Do you honesty think that looks like a bear? Goodness me, it’s eyes are miles apart. I would google what a bear should look like!

Stuck on 8155 . How to sew foot top to leg edge! Managed to get the Rare bear pattern from the United States,

Rohaiza A.Karim yes managed to fit it. Secret is to sew it before you sew leg seams. Make sure you have the tops left and right I.e. the piece that drops is the toe.
I’ve watched the rabbit video and I’m confused by this one. The back you don’t say anything about pointed top and gave us no information on how to sew that. Including the bottom pieces
I stitched both halves together and made half a bear 😅

They come in various sizes depending on the size of the toy you are making.
