Just discovered pedals for the first time and I’m building my first pedalboard, I didn’t even know drum machine pedals existed. Definitely gonna get me one.
I don't think so. I played entire gigs with the beat buddy with 50 different rhythms etc. The UI of this pedal is as horrible as the UI of the Digitech. Why is it so hard to integrate a simple display and use some kind of LED User interface? It's not usabale live.
What about the inputs/outputs and where would this go in an effects chain? I presume the stereo outs could go to a mixing board or directly to a pair of powered monitors? I don’t guess you would want this in the primary effects chain, lest the drum sounds get heavily modified by other pedals? Lots of demos on YT, but nobody talked about setting it up.
@@alexraykinofficial that what it seems. i'm wondering what happens when you hit "fill" when it's not playing though. does it just play a fill of that pattern and stop...?
Can't say I'd recommend this in good conscience. Mine doesn't connect properly to my computer so I can't adjust time accurately. Even did firmware AND software update. Contacted Mooer over a week ago and nothing. All they offer is demos and reviews made solely by RUclips users instead of properly adding a company produced video.
Everyone there is a way for Chinese new year right now, they should get back to you soon. I know this because I tried to hit them up a few days ago and got an automated message. That sounds frustrating, I hope you’re a problem gets solved!
Ugh the more I try to use this pedal the more I'm hating it. It refuses to connect to my computer (Win 11 Home) now at all. Previously I could at least semi-connect to the Editor software even though the pedal never showed up in my Device Manager so I couldn't make any real changes, couldn't hear it through my studio monitors either connected to my computer. Now it won't even semi-connect to the Editor at all. I imagine they're relying on simple plug n play idea, when it works? No forum for discussions, no examples other than some girl shredding, hardly a product demo I would recommend either. Their instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired as well. I have to be honest, this is the first pedal I've ever bought that didn't connect or work correctly. It does work through my amp with all of the pots but that is kind of useless if I can't make any changes in the pedal itself. VERY DISAPPOINTED HERE!

Go for it my dude! Have fun building that rig…
Beautiful pedal. Thanks for the review
My pleasure!
Nice comp for beat buddy finally
Agreed, and in the lower price range too.

You have a point
Nice review bro, thank you!
My pleasure!
Would be great if it had midi out to sync with looper pedal.
I agree! There’s always the next version. They are not a huge company. Email them-I’m sure they would be glad to have the feedback!

Yes, I’d set it up like that unless you want distortion on your drums. 😎
Curious to know if this unit works well for recording rock band demos in GarageBand?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t. You’d play over it like a drummer. I’d probably tap the tempo and put it in the session afterwords.
are you able to have a verse loop and chorus loop?
I think so
Is there a way to start the beat with a fill? Or do you have to push start and then hit fill afterwards? Thx
I don’t think so. It’s programmed to play it at the end of the bar.
@@alexraykinofficial that what it seems. i'm wondering what happens when you hit "fill" when it's not playing though. does it just play a fill of that pattern and stop...?
@dudecafe I don’t think it plays a fill you win the pattern is off.
@@dudecafeI have one maybe I can try see if it works
really I was looking for one that Jazzs
I hope you don’t mean that in the original meaning of the word Jazz. 🫠
@@alexraykinofficial swings than...
Well in that case it swings, funks, countrys, metals, and more with the preset beats. 🤡
@@alexraykinofficial😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you! Would love your take on this pedal vs. Beat Buddy.
How use tap tempo ?
While it’s off, click it a few times at the speed you want the beat to go. Then when you turn it on, it’ll be at the tempo you clicked.
Thank you
Anyone else feel like some of the fills don’t work with the beat like at all?
Perhaps some don’t. Cant win ‘em all. 🤷♂️
Can it be synched with other gear? Midi??
Not midi directly, but it can be controlled via foot switch. I’m sure some usable scenarios can be employed to sync it up with other gear.
Nice review, but man, we gotta talk about those pants....
Thanks! Haha, I unapologetically love these pants. I have like 8 pairs of adidas tiro pants. 😆
the pants are awesome
@@deadlydee7239 Mmm-k.
Nice trousers.
Lol thanks. These are one of my favorites. My wife got me them. I have like 12 different adidas pants.

@grimora-dg3vq Damn… Sorry for your struggle. I’d address them directly, they may help.
@grimora-dg3vq Damn man. Maybe you got a dud? It seems to work better on Mac.
Great ❤

I wouldn’t use it in recording, but for jamming I think it is pretty decent!
