- What witchcraft is this? With the DigiTech Trio Plus Band Creator and Looper, you play a few measures, and it magically creates a backing band. You are joined by bass and drums inspired by the notes and rhythm that you played, but does it really work? A trio of No Fear Gear Guides put the Trio+ to the test, each challenging the Trio+ to listen, learn, and play along. We tested different styles, adding loops, and tweaking the mix; how did the Trio+ do? Check out the full demo and let us know what you think.

I've had my band in a box for several years. I learned more watching you guys play with it than all the years I've owned it. Hopefully now I'll go off into different tangents and be more creative with it. Thank you guys!
That is great to hear. We hope that you do give it a go. There is lots of potential here.
Great video that really showcases what this pedal can do. Well done guys, the Trio Plus remains one of my favourite purchases of the last few years and you guys nailed why. Look forward to more videos…👌👍
Thanks so much @mondayworship390 We sure enjoyed this pedal and plan to keep exploring all that we can do with it. Thanks for supporting the channel!
Quite simply the best video I've seen on Trio + on RUclips! Well done! Still exploring mine....
Thanks @guitargod6997 we are still exploring the Trio+ as well, so many options.
I'm a solo musician and this will take me to the next level. Seems like I've been waiting for this device all my life. Hope they sell this in South Africa. It's great!
I use it LIVE, see my comment above dude ! It IS a great unit, but it does have a downside ... PEACE !
@@josephbusuttil3030 hi mate what's the downside of these device's! Well upside I see with this it eliminates humans mistakes haha!
I am ALWAYS inspired by JLJ's playing - just infectious, man!!! Love it!!!
He really is! Thanks for checking out our video.
WoW! I'm glad I discovered this channel! This pedal is great but you guys make everything so much fun!
Thanks so much. We are so glad that you are here and joining the gear conversations with us. 🙏🏼
Great format! Live this channel and how you’re discovering on the fly. This pedal also work great with keyboards.
Thanks @CarlFranke . We have been hearing that this is a great option for keyboard players as well, thanks for sharing your experience.
This not only is a great demo video of a versatile guitar pedal but also a wonderful musical experience for your audience. Such soulful playing, guys. Thank you!
Thanks so much @ConwayBob 🙏🏼 That is really kind and very much appreciated. We really enjoyed doing this one.
Cool! Jay was really cookin’!
I bought this unit over a year ago and have yet to really try it out. Looked it up and saw this vid and now am going to give it a whirl. Thanks for reviewing this and some of the features.
That is great to hear @mmiller6873 This pedal has so much potential for practicing, writing, or performance. We hope that you find a good way to get lots out of your Trio+!
I have the Trio Plus. It is a permanent part of my board. Fantastic co-presenters by the way!
@rexsolomon6325 it is great to hear from a Trio+ user. Thanks for sharing that and thanks for the kind words.
This is yet another device I would buy, play with for a few days, and put it in the corner to collect dust.
For me, it comes out of the dusty corner every few months. I thoroughly enjoy it for a week or two and then put it away again for a while. It's fun
Like a date that looks good until she goes swimming
Sounds great.
Well done ! Great team you have.
Thanks so much @StratsRUs 🙏🏼 This was a great bunch and the Trio+ was especially fun.
So far the most awesome vid on this product and J.L.Jay, a masterly himself again. Having the Trio+ myself, this vid gave me a re-motivation boost all over. Thank you guys, awesome 👌🎶
Thanks so much. Ever demo is better with Jay! 👍🏼
I love this pedal, I'm also thinking about ordering one, great demo, well done guys 😊😁👍
Thanks @eileenwinkel5226. If you do get one please let us know here what you think and how you use it.
What an amazing tool! More than that amazing musicians. Love it.
Thanks very much, we appreciate that.
Those rhythm sections give off The Police vibes from time to time...
We totally hear that as well.
For me it's the most creative and fun pedal ever made....Great job guys!
Thanks so much @TheBushcraftonline It really has so much creative potential.
Fun and joy!
I use mine with a boss micro br 80 8 track to get the drums to follow me rather than other way around ( if i were using a conventional drum machine) and generally swap out the bass line for my own.....also use it as a stand alone practice tool same as you guys were doing.... great vid!
Excellent demonstration! I have had mine a couple years now. Play all classic rock and some County cover tunes on my weekend solo/duo gigs. That footswitch is a must. Saves wear and tear on the pedal too. Once you get to understand how to teach it. You can do a lot.
That is great info from a real Trio+ user, thank @frontcentermusician! The note on how helpeful the footswitch is is especially helpful. 👍🏼
just got mine. cant figure out how to use amp distortion. it keeps distorting the taught part
One can use more SD cards? I would play jazz Standards, on live gigs. In the first round I would sing and play rythmn guitar, then some solos over the "band". Is that possible?
I got one of these for Christmas a few years ago and have never used it. You guys have inspired me.
Glad to help. We hope you enjoy your Trio+. It will be like Christmas in July!
These are cool, but I wonder one through a guitar channel a few years ago and never really figured it out intuitively. This video is one of the most informative “how to” videos I’ve seen, and definitely the most FUN video I’ve seen with it! Thanks and Great job!
Thanks @steelman774 🙏🏼 We are glad that you liked the video and found it helpful. Thanks for checking us out.
Hey Sean, did I learn any new about this pedal.... No, but, what I loved about your video is how you presented and showed the basic features... It also didn't hurt you had 2 of my favorite you tubers as well. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for checking us out.
I have had this pedal for about 7 years now, and it’s a great practice tool that keeps me inspired. I do feel that a software update is needed though (understandably Digitech were “dead” for a while).
Great to hear from a long-time Trio+ user. @jimmcdougall9973 thanks for sharing your experience and specifically how you use it. I know DigiTech mentioned that some firmware updates are coming soon, I suspect it will continue to improve.
@@NoFearGuitarGearthat would be so good for the moral of digitech users. Especially those with this tool. I know I would welcome it open arms!🤙🏾🤙🏾
love the playing guys! pedal looks interesting indeed!
Thanks and thanks for watching.
Great video - thanks to all three of you.
There must be something wrong with me because I find it difficult to use. I guess if I played with it for 8 or 9 years, then I'd begin to understand how everything works (ha)
This can be complex for sure. We decided to really focus on the basics and loved what it can do without us trying to use every bell & whistle. Once we got used to playing simple to train the unit and learned the basics we found it very useful and not too tough to get rolling with. If you try to do everything that it can do I think it would have taken us a while as well.
I love the Trio+, bought it during the pandemic for live from the basement performances. It's an awesome tool for a one man band or as a practice tool.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us and the community here!
I simply (&) freaky love this pedal !!!! 🙂👌🎸
An ordinary loop pedal was not what I was looking for , too boring !!!!
But , a few years ago I found this pedal , and .... holy mushroom ....
I no longer need to play or create the drums and bass myself ,
or I no longer need a drummer & bass player either ,
so as a result , I simply fired them then , just like that !!!! 😁
Oh , the only thing it cannot do , recording a break within a song part !!!!
For Example: Djent metal , even disco , etc ....
There's been a lot of looper pedals released since the Digitech Trio + and I've seen the videos of all of them are some of them better? Well i guess that's subjective but I personally love this looper and I don't believe I've ever seen anyone have this much fun with any looper on RUclips. These guy's really show off how pleasing this looper can be. This thing really is a powerhouse. Thanks guy's
@1953purdie you nailed it on all points here. There have been lots of looper and band in the box products launched since the Trio+, it is impressive how well it holds up today. This is a really powerful and easy to use looper. You are also right about how much fun we had with this. We are just guys that love to play and this let us play in some new ways. Thanks for joining the dialog here.
Jay’s joy is infectious. Broad smiles.
I'm pretty sure nothing in the "3/4" part of things was actually 3/4. He started in 6/8 but I think the "band" was in a swung 4. But what I want to know is does it do real 6/8? That's the time signature I need most
I was hearing the same thing. It doesn’t sound like 3/4 or 6/8 to me. Where’s the waltz.😅
@@Ptpop The "band" is playing in 4/4. Simple as that. A bit worrying that three pro musicians can't tell the difference between 3/4 and 4/4.
You meant 4/4 not 3/4. Totally agree. I thought my ears were going wrong for a second or two.
Had one for years, the trick in 'learn' mode is to keep the chords simple (triads work well) - it can get confused with extensions. Also when strumming to get the essentials of the rhythm rather than play the full pattern. When you come to play the loop actual part you can revert to the song parts.
That is great insight, thanks @wyvernwood5675 for sharing that here.
love my TRIO+! the best pedal for jamming in basement :)
@vmxd thanks for sharing that. We are hearing from a lot of players that really enjoy it as a practice tool.
I love my Trio Plus but... it has turned me into a hermit, alone in my basement. Great vid 👍
How much it's cost?
We can totally understand how that could happen. We have lost a few weekends for sure with ours.
About $300 in the U.S. market
Superb! The guitar chord strum will tell the drums and bass what best to play
Exactly. It is like having a jam session without getting the band together.
I just started taking this out busking. A little clunky to start, but I will improve.
I do enjoy making my own music up with this device.
@jfitz458 that is a cool insight. Keep us posted on your progress. Let us know if you share any videos of you and your Trio+ busking experiences.
Wow, nice❤❤
Thanks!
Gotta love anything in 3/4
We could not agree more strongly and you are Mr. 3/4 @seandaniel23!
I must be counting wrong. It sounded 4/4 to me 😢
I have 1 of these, it's pretty clever!
We totally agree. Lots of good use cases for it. Thanks for watching the video and being part of the dialog here.
@@NoFearGuitarGear Cheers!
the sequencing part of it is great ONCE you understand how to do it as the manual doesn't tell u all you need to know, interestingly it will also link the parts so even if the feel is different, it will make them all consistent, you can fit 12 songs on the sd card and with the added foot pedal you can stop the bass or drums or go up to next part etc, The bass line can be changed to from root progressions to 5th I think so you can have quite a lot of variety with that and the alt time button, it's a head warp figuring it out but once you do you can have a load of fun writing a complete song intro, verse, bridge, chorus end etc , you need to write down what you want and sequence it and have it sheeted so you know when everythings coming in as it can be tricky remembering it... all the tracks can be dropped into the computer and stored too, several sd cards and you could have a good live set... with just yourself.
Thanks for sharing your insights, that is super helpful and I am sure others that view this video will appreciate it. Indeed there is a learning curve on this unit since it does so much. We appreciate your providing your insights here.
This is super cool .
Thanks!
i just sold one of mine digitech multu effect pedals and was just thinking man digitech needs some good pedals if they want to keep it up and this video came out straightforward good job digitech

I'm trying to find something that I can record multiple guitar tracks on machine that can have recordable bass guitar as well as it's own digital bass and drums, is there anything like that in the market?
Thank you so much.

This is the best pedal I ever bought.
@morrisgentry8624 that is great to hear. Thanks for sharing that with us and the video viewers considering the Trio+.
Oh crap, just when I think I have everything I've ever wanted...
That is the problem for many of us. Gear acquisition syndrome is real.
if i want to use just my amp i cant figure out how to not make it distort the taught part once i apply the amps overdrive to solo over.
You run the "band" part into the amp's fx loop (or an frfr cab/pa etc) and the guitar out into the front of your amp.
If you use pedals, you run them through the Trio + fx loop, so you can have a clean sound when you teach the band. There are some RUclips videos that show how to connect it up, if you're not sure.
Check out That Pedal Guy on here. He has several really informative videos on all aspects of using the Trio+.
Remember guys, the progression needs clean chord inputs, not effect chord input.
Great video Gentleman!!Any chance you could post more tutorial videos on the FX3 , such as how to connect it and how to use it? Thanks
Great suggestion. We are exploring some new Trio+ content, so we will add this to the list. Thanks!
Could be a great gadget to just relax and jam around in your personal space...... Would love to have it...
That is exactly right. It is fun to just have some creative time or fun.
A bunch off show-offs! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!
If you love that you have found the right channel to follow. 🤣
Gr8 video guys. I need something similar but for a keyboard/digital piano. Not sure if this will work or if there is a specific device for synths.
We have had a few other people comment on that here. We are hoping DigiTech will see those and make one. We are planning to test that out, since this generates a backing band with drums and bass, if you can teach it with a keyboard it would be pretty cool. Watch for a video with us testing all of the questions here coming next month.
Greetings I think I'll be trying this pedal..
Please do. It is worth a look.
Great video, thanks. I just bought a second hand one online. Well, I thought I did… turned out it was just the Trio, without the +, so no looper. Oh well, it’s still an awesome bit of kit!
I still haven’t figured out how to do extra parts and have just focussed on simple songs without choruses etc. Or how to save. I will persevere, though. While it’s great to practice with, I mainly want to use it for solo performances. I’m wondering (since mine is the earlier model with no looper) if I can make it work with my Boss RC-3 loop station??? I think I should be able to run the bass and drum pattern through the PA and the guitar I add latter through the RC-3 and the f/x loop on my guitar amp. Or am I way off base here and need to bite the bullet and just buy the Plus, now? 😂😂
I’m 63 and pretty much new to pedals overall. Never too late to learn, I hope! 😂
Welcome to the Trio club! We never used the Trio so not 100% sure, but what you described using it with an external looper should do the trick and work roughly the same. Maybe start there and if you enjoy that think about moving up to the plus. Best of luck on your exploration. Enjoy!
😮 must have
Wow what an amazing box of trick indeed!! Hope it actually works like this video has been “set up” 🤞🤞 Thanks
It does. The secret is teaching the Trio+ with something simple, it will deliver. It's not perfect, but neither is a drummer and bass player plus the Trio+ never asks to borrow money or crash on your couch. 😉
This video is awesome chaps 🎸 will the + version be updated in the future ( firmware ) etc…what a leap fwd with this Way Ahead Looper..
Nice, but no digital display or computer software is a deal breaker for live performance.
Anyone know, if you can get the same kind of pedal for bass? Would be dope to have drums and keys/guitar to jam along with.
That does sound like a great idea. We have not come across that, but will keep our eyes open.
The last guitarist is just awesome 👍👍👍😎🤘🤟😁
We agree, @JayLeonardJ is amazing.
I got a bedroom door I need to hold open this looks just big enough to do the job
Jay lost it 😂😂 that was awesome
Great vid demo! Can you add other effects pedals to the Trio (Wah Wah, or fuzz etc) or can you only use the built in effects?
Yes you can easily use this with other effects, no limitations to that at all. It does have a few built-in effects, but that is limited.
It doesn’t matter which style you choose before you start playing. The style of the background track is determined by what you do with the right hand in terms of your rhythm technique. For example, if you accent on two and four, you will get a snare on two and four.
Great point and a really good way to summarize that. Thanks!
Been using the Trio+ for about a year and half and honestly think it's the best bang for the buck for creating backing tracks. Super quick and easy to create parts and the loop feature allows me to integrate more of my own playing, vice using pre-recorded instruments (aside from bass and drums) to build the tracks. **THREE suggested improvements: 1) Add more parts capacity for sequencing! 5 often isn't enough for full songs...10 (or more) would be much better. 2) Add the ability to include timed pauses in the sequencing. Maybe a "blank" part or one with just clicks/hi-hat taps/etc. 3) Add the ability to remove drums and/or bass for individual parts. Would be good for songs that begin with solo drum intros or bass intros and then stack other instruments later.
@navydaniel2 thanks for your really thoughtful comment here. Those observations from an active user of the Trio+ are really insightful. I know that others watching this video will appreciate that and do as well. Thanks!
You can remove bass and drums with the additional foot switch in one of the modes
Also more realistic drums with fill in parts
It really is "auto-magic" 🤩
It really is auto-magic.
Cool musical gadget, I hope it will work with stage piano, too.
It will. We are not piano players here, but this would be a great tool for that application for sure.
Not gonna lie, that loop at 9:42 is dope.
Where does this go in the signal chain? I understand you need a clean input and I'm guessing the 3rd and 4th cables would put it last in the FX loop, but won't any tone/drive pedals after the Trio+ distort its sound into the amp? Or would you split the signal chain into a Trio+ path and tone/drive path that converge at the preamp input?
Great video, BTW!
The set up would be:
The guitar input directly from the guitar and all other guitar effects (including distortion) should be placed in the effects loop (FX SEND, FX RETURN) of the Trio+. For best performance the guitar output should be fed into a guitar amp and the Mixer out should be fed to the mixing console/PA to keep all backing track material separate from the guitar signal.
That is right from the manual.
Wow nice😮
Thank you! Cheers!
I have owned a DigiTech Trio+ for over two years now and really enjoy it. However I worry about servicing any component issues down the road when they occur. Like a dead or faulty foot switch. DigiTech is no more. They were sold by Harmon to Cort. Online support seems horrid. How long does Sweetwater warrant the Trio+? Do they service and repair them?
DigiTech was sold and has reset to it's better pre-Harman independence. They recently reissued the Trio+ and other top models, so the future looks pretty bright for DigiTech and the Trio from what we can see.
Is there something like this for drummers? U play drum groove and bass, guitar or synth playalong with U?
That would be cool. We have not seen one, but hopefully DigiTech will see your comment and make one.
What is the earliest year of this pedal with the latest firmware? If I buy one on Reverb, say 3-4 years old, will it be lacking in the sound quality of the accompaniment? Or have they remained unchanged in features and sound quality?
There has been one firmware update, but it was very early on and the latest firmware will available on our website shortly. It might even be there now, the upload effort is ongoing.
Thanks @DigiTechFX for answering that here!! We loved getting to explore the Trio Plus.
@@DigiTechFX Great to hear, that there will be another update! It's a great tool for all guitarists - less and more experienced ones. I love my Trio plus. Where can I find this update? All I can see on your website is the Trio Manager as far. What changes will it bring?
Sorry for the misunderstanding, there is no NEW firmware update. What is new is that the current version is now available on our website after being unavailable for a few years.
@@kosz1104

Great job on the video! I’m doing all the research before I buy it.. so after you teach it then you want to lay a loop over it you just press the looper button and lay something down the press the looper button again to stop it?? But I don’t see anyone pressing the button again to stop it.. or do you just do one short loop then it plays back automatically? Although you guys just keep playing so does it keep recording the whole time you’re playing ? It’s confusing lol
@julielocke-balish1707 Great question! Since you define the length of the section as you teach the band, the looper knows to stop capturing at the end of that same length of bars. You use the button if you want to start an addition loop and keep building.
So if you do start an additional loop then the trio keeps playing what you taught it and the additional loop goes over that?
@@julielocke-balish1707 That is correct. In our video the best examples is the demo that starts at about 4:30. You can hear the backing track that the Trio+ learned, then at 4:57 Sean starts to add a loop over that, then at 5:11 as he finishes adding the loop you can see and hear it just play the bass & drums that the Trio+ had added and the Loop Sean put on top of that. He does on to play over it, just to show how you can then play along as you would like. Really fun and practical.
It's good think about it as two stages of looping. The first time you hit the loop button (while the backing is playing), it automatically starts recording at the first beat of the section (the next time round), and stops at the end of the section, say, if you originally did 4 bars, it will record exactly over those 4 bars. Thereafter, if you hit the loop button again, it turns on the looper recording function again, but this time it keeps recording until you stop it (re-hit the button). In this 2nd phase of looping, you are hearing your original loop, plus you start hearing whatever else you've added, and the beauty of it is, you can now double/triple track a bit and thicken it right up, round off those rough edges, works out a treat.
Automagically! 🦄
Yep, we don't only talk about guitar gear, we also make up words. 🤣
Great video. My man at the end was having fun. I do not really see the Trio as a reliable performance tool- at all. In a pinch maybe but it will overwrite saved presets. Maybe you could have multiple SD cards and just playback. It would be nice if you could use the SD card to playback on a PC or tablet but I don't think that is an option. Very clearly, the Trio+ is an excellent tool for getting your ideas down and having fun. Beyond that, it falls a little short. Hopefully a future version or competing product will fully exploit the potential of this magic box. It is a lot of fun to play around with. Maybe a new produ ct can add Keys or other instruments- allow for key changes; more I/O; more rythyms, etc.
Using the Parts or Seq. how do you connect all parts together? I have not explored that yet. So I have part one- will part two automatically start when part 1 is done? Do I have to hit any buttons? Also, I think that click track only works once or for part 1. Again, this unit has potential but is not fully baked if you want to use it as a more serious tool. It should also have an online editor.
Tip: The Drums/Cymbals sound 100 times better with studio monitors with tweeters vs. guitar amp which sounds muddy.
Thanks @UTAH100 for that thoughtful comment. Great feedback and ideas here. We appreciate you being part of the conversation here.
@@NoFearGuitarGear Can you share any tips on how to use the Parts or Seq. section? So I record and save one part...then what? Nothing complicated- just any simple tip would help.

We used a stand that was to hold a phone. It was this one: amzn.to/4cbREO6
@@NoFearGuitarGear Just placed my order for one, Thanks.
Does this have the option to manually add drum fills with a button press while playing back a groove with Bass and drums?
Every time it comes to the end of the loop and/or when it changes parts) there is a fill that is automatically added.
@@lancenunez8252 Oh. so you cant manually trigger a drum fil then.. shame :(
@@PhiLikeFlying well, sort of. I mean, when you set up your loop, you control how long the loop is. If your loop is two measures long, then you will get a fill every two measures. You get 5 parts to play with, so technically, one part could be 4 bars and another could be 2 bars, and you can switch between them. If you want something like a beat buddy where you can randomly insert a fill, that’s not what this thing does.
I have the trio plus and I find it great for coming up with jams and practicing but as far as you know coming up with a complete song that you could go as a solo artist and use it really wouldn't work well mainly because it's really hard to do intros and outros. The thing I really like about it is I can practice over and over and over and my drummer and bass player don't get sick of me.
It is nice that your bass player and drummer never complain, their never late, and they don't need to sleep on your couch. 😉 We really do like it as a practice tool and agree it might be a little tough as your performance backing track for many situations.
You mentioned that Digitech are releasing a firmware update. Can you elaborate on that?
can this be used only for a drum machine 'start/stop' etc. or does the guitar have to start the drum sequence? Great vid, thank you..
Not sure it would be the best solution for that. You can "teach it" and turn down the bass track to have drums only, so you can sort of get there. However since it was not built to be a drum machine you might find it limited for that specific application. Thanks for being part of this dialog.
Thank you for your reply, I picked one up today (and a Beat Buddy Mini 2) @@NoFearGuitarGear
@@neilpeel8048 we are excited to hear that. Please keep us posted on your progress and observations as a new Trio+ user. Looking forward to hearing how you use it.
WHAT A OUT more chord complex songs like Roger Hodgsons' guitar songs? Many chord changes? 💥🎶🎸
I like the s-drum in combination with a jamman looper more. That way you can create your own bass loop. It would be nice that also the jammans return. Or a trio looper where you can also play your own bass line loop if you want.
The S-Drum and Jamman Looper likely is the better combination if you are more interested in creating your own combinations with you playing all the parts, instead of having a bass and drum part created for you. DigiTech did reissue the Jamman Solo just last week, so that combo that you mentioned is now available again. Lots of good options.
@@NoFearGuitarGear Waauw ! Thank you for this information. They reisssued the solo jamman ! This is good news for me and my s-drum !
What is that stand holding the Diditech Trio+ vertically?!?
We used a phone holder for that. It was this one: amzn.to/3wW92HY
I use one with a Boss IR-200 for guitar sounds and a SY-200 to add synth stuff for the loop.
I would've killed to have this stuff growing up. I remember jamming over the auto chord setting on a Casio keyboard 😂
Agreed. Kids today don't know how good they have it. 👴🏼
@@NoFearGuitarGear They'll figure it out once they get old just like everyone else 🤣
For me it is a bit limited as a performance tool, because it only really 'learns' simple two or three chord progressions and you are stuck with pretty old hat drum and bass sounds. A midi out, to enable a connection to a better sound source would be great improvement.
Sorry Sean, what you played wasn't in 3/4
He just counts to 4 different 😉
It is 3/4, but the triplets come so fast that they’re counted as 1 beat for each measure.
It’s not 3/4 but the machine was smart enough to make it work. 3 against 4 comes out ok every 12 measures. Dancers do this all the time. 😊
@@aubreygrandy170 I know what 3/4 time is, and I know what a poly rhythm is as you are describing. Two different things though. To have a poly rhythm even out every 12 measures is an eternity and does not give the 3/4 feel at all. Does it feel like a waltz rhythm to you?
@@richdibs No, not at all. I was agreeing with you.
JLJ is Gold!

good question!!
I love mine but need more than just 4/4 and 3/4 sigs
Great to get feedback here from someone that has the pedal, thanks for sharing that.
When you're teaching it it's best to play simple chords or even notes root notes in my experience.
Perfectly put, that is great advice thanks.
Great Busking tool if u have power
Indeed that would be fun.
Hello, how can i used it¿ i am a solo performer,, thank you
You can save up to 12 of the backing band creations and/or loops on an SD card. We have heard from some solo performers that basically uses one SD card per set and that works, for others they have felt this was a better songwriting and practice tool than performance.
I have the TRIO + and have used this as a performing tool where I've layed down different parts & & built Songs through the internal Sequencer, which I love by the way.
The only thing is that unfortunately you can only store up to 12 SONGS per SD-Card, ( regardless of how big the SD-Card is ) which is a major bummer for the perfoming artist.
But I do still love this unit ! Bigtime !!
So How About It DIGITECH, How about a Firmware Update to allow the full potential of this great unit to be able to store MORE SONGS ?!
I'd be happy even if we get another 12 SONGS, That's DOUBLE what we get now right !
Great insights, thanks for sharing your experience here.
What happens when you play the chords to Roxanne?
Love that challenge. We will add that to our list for a future video. We will test that one for sure.
That third guitar player was awesome by far the best.
Jay Leonard J is in a league of his own for sure.
@@NoFearGuitarGearfor false notes 😂
Wow jay
Can it save presets? Otherwise, i honestly cant see how youd use this live. There would be too much fiddling with the pedal
You can save up to 12 of the backing band creations and/or loops on an SD card. it is limited to 12 that can be saved on an SD card of any size. We have heard from some folks using a Trio+ for performance that use one SD card per set and that works, for others they have felt this was a better songwriting and practice tool than performance.
Jay is a fantastic guitar player. Easily one of the best on YT
