    FYI, when I measured out 2 cups of all-purpose flour (without packing it), it weighed just under 250 grams (not 300 grams) so adding 180 grams/ml of water to that will give you a very sticky 72% hydration that takes forever to knead instead of the 60% amount called for by weight. So be aware of that. If you don't have a scale then try about 2/3 cup water (158 ml) with that 2 cups of flour.

      This is why having a scale is important. Everyone scoops and measures a "cup" of flour differently. It also depends on flour as well. Whole wheat weighs more.

      A European cup is larger than a US cup.
      The US cup in ml is 240g
      .......UK cup in ml is 250g
      US 2 cups unsifted flour = 240g
      US 2 cups sifted flour = 220g

    Привет из Молдовы, мы делаем такие после того как печем хлеб , оставляем кусочек теста и тоже печем на сковороде,СПАСИБО ОГРОМНОЕ, что напомнили мне моё детство, мамочка такие на сковороде делала, УДАЧИ ВАМ ! ! !

    thanks for sharing your recipes. made this flat bread & i used 1 cup of each white & wholewheat flour. i don’t have olive oil & substituted with vegetable oil. very delicious & soft.

    Я подобные лепешки готовлю бездрожжевыми, на кефире, добавляю разрыхлитель или соду, сливочное масло. Готовые обильно смазываю сливочным маслом. Еще хорошо в середину лепешки положить начинку, соединить края теста и тонко раскатать. Далее-тоже приготовить на сухой сковороде, обильно смазать маслом. Получится ТАБА БӘЛІШ, с казахского языка- пирог на сковороде. ОЧЕНЬ вкусно, особенно, мясной фарш+сыр. Еще мне нравится тертая морковь +сыр, тыква+сыр, творог+сыр, натертый картофель+ сыр. Сыр придает особый вкус! Из Казахстана 🇰🇿

    I found the measurements interms of grams and volume were pretty bang on. But I did use bread flour. As I thought it weird to use plain flour for bread. My cooking process didn't exhibit the puffiness as in the video but still turned out as I hoped. Full flavoured, chewy.and light.

    This is an easy and simple recipe. It ballooned and became a kind of pita bread. I recommend adding more salt - maybe 1 1/2 tsp instead of only one.

    Mine didn’t do the puff up thing but it still came out great! My family loved it so much I have to make more tonight. I threw in some extra seasoning too. So great and simple! I also don’t have a rolling pin so I use the whole plastic wrap roll 😂

      Just fry (I use a decent amount of oil, just shy of deep frying) a flour tortilla, regular ones from the store; I use them as substitutes for Indian poori, they’re perfect replacements!!!

    Por favor la sartén tiene que estar muy caliente se puede poner una pizca de aceite y extender con un pincel es que mis sartenes aunque son antiadherentes si no se añade algo de mantequilla o aceite se pegan enhorabuena por tu receta te deseo mucha suerte saludos desde españa

    Hi Helly, thanks 4 the recipe, I made it today n love the texture, its nice. Need advice from u, I noticed there r plenty of pockets of air bubbles but couldn’t get the 1 “big air pocket”, why is it so? Is it due to poor rolling technique? Pls advise as I love to make it again, tq 😊

    I made them yesterday and they came out ok. I think I had the pan a little bit to hot. They did not blow up like yours. lol But we are making more today cause they are all gone. I think I will double the recipe to last a couple of days. thanks
