I think it is a shame RUclips (and social media in general) pushes creators to have 'consistency' (in reality, frequency and quantity) in order to be more successful, reaching more people, having better numbers. Because I love that your content is, like your sponsor, organic. That is the first word that comes to mind for me when trying to describe it. It is beautiful, it is artsy, it is honest, but it is all of those things because it is organic. It really feels like a piece of you, a piece of your mind and your soul. I am sure it is really hard to find some kind of balance between this need to express yourself at your pace, but also having to meet certain expectations. And if in the end you end up making some sacrifices to reach this, I am sure the content will be great anyways. Just know, just like me, there are many of us that love your content for you, your autenticity, your honesty, your kind, gentle and vulnerable self. Your essence is beautiful and will always permeate whatever you make. So whenever you think you are wrong, making something awful, or it won't be liked 'enough', just keep in mind that there is no wrong in being yourself. Maybe this will give you some peace of mind. ♥

My biggest advice for overcoming perfectionism is: make small "mistakes" on purpose. Leave the typo for once, let the video get messy sometimes, do not delete that one funny clip just because your hair wasn't looking great... things like this, but it's for everyone different of course

Do you ever feel that self help books kind of deter you from actual self help? Like how the action of reading about someone telling us to do something good almost makes it feel live we’ve already done something good? Because of this, I feel that they usually have little reward outside of being comfort reads. I’m curious if you feel differently. I remember seeing this idea somewhere: the movie Wall-E is the perfect movie for late capitalism. It criticizes late capitalism and yet profits because of it. In that way, the viewer feels the activism preached by the movie is already completed, and they take the form of the spectator that pays to have the problem ‘resolved’ for them. The Barbie movie is another example. It criticizes the patriarchy and the very company that produces the toy, Mattel, and yet it makes over a billion dollars and only further propagates the male dominated, exploitative capitalist company. The critique in itself seems to do the work for us. Okay, I wont lie, that was a bit of a ramble, my bad

I'm trying to get unstuck my self. Math was my strong suit in school, but I did mediocre in all my other classes cuz math was the only thing I cared about. I could only get into biology programs in college, though I was more passionate about math. Growing up was pretty shitty for me too, so I just absorbed my self in video games from 8th grade till basically now. I'm 25 now. I got a bachelor's in neuroscience, but I got burnt out trying to be a good applicant for medical school. Now I have let go of that path. I want to go back to school again to study physics/mathematics my true passion so I can learn more about space like I wanted to as a kid. I don't know if it will be all sunshine and rainbows and all peachy, because at the end of the day it's still life. I feel sad that I lost 11 years to video game addiction, I have literally no friends now (the few I had I stopped communicating with because they changed too much since high school and became a bad influence on me). My parents think I'm a weirdo. I quit every job I've had after 6 months - 1 yr because my perfectionism makes me feel like I'll never be good enough to earn the bosses' respect or my own self respect. But I'm really trying to be serious now and get a job in IT so I can save money to go back to school and study physics like I always wanted to. I do feel a bit disheartened because video games are not as great at distracting me from all the unfun stuff of life like they did when I was a kid, but I feel happy about it at the same time as it is an indication that I'm less dependent on them to get through bad times. Your videos are great, thankyou.

It criticizes the patriarchy and the very company that produces the toy, Mattel, and yet it makes over a billion dollars and only further propagates the male dominated, exploitative capitalist company. The critique in itself seems to do the work for us.

and yes i totally get you - life is too short, and in most cases it’s better to take risks and learn from our mistakes. that’s something I’m learning to do✨i‘m also learning to accept that sometimes it’s just hard for me to let go of anxiety or fear…that’s okay. acceptance is the first step to change. i would love to be a grandma with tons of story to tell too, but it’s going to be a journey for me to get there…and i can’t wait to share it with you!! thank you so much for sharing your thoughts

I'm trying to get unstuck my self. Math was my strong suit in school, but I did mediocre in all my other classes cuz math was the only thing I cared about. I could only get into biology programs in college, though I was more passionate about math. Growing up was pretty shitty for me too, so I just absorbed my self in video games from 8th grade till basically now. I'm 25 now. I got a bachelor's in neuroscience, but I got burnt out trying to be a good applicant for medical school. Now I have let go of that path. I want to go back to school again to study physics/mathematics my true passion so I can learn more about space like I wanted to as a kid. I don't know if it will be all sunshine and rainbows and all peachy, because at the end of the day it's still life. I feel sad that I lost 11 years to video game addiction, I have literally no friends now (the few I had I stopped communicating with because they changed too much since high school and became a bad influence on me). My parents think I'm a weirdo. I quit every job I've had after 6 months - 1 yr because my perfectionism makes me feel like I'll never be good enough to earn the bosses' respect or my own self respect. But I'm really trying to be serious now and get a job in IT so I can save money to go back to school and study physics like I always wanted to. I do feel a bit disheartened because video games are not as great at distracting me from all the unfun stuff of life like they did when I was a kid, but I feel happy about it at the same time as it is an indication that I'm less dependent on them to get through bad times.
