Thanks for the knowledge, Cam. I know you've gone through the years of trials and tribulations to bring us this concise video. Appreciate your time man 👍
i wanted to start a t-shirt business as my second business but your videos today, have helped me build my website for my contracting company, you're the man thank you
Thank you! I have been putting this off, and this was the push I needed. Already followed your link and transfered my host from Godaddy to SiteGround. Waiting for that next video!
Cam, have to say you rocked this video. I had a smile on my face watching it thinking your awesome. Shows your drive man good job! P.s. email a link to the hosting company maybe they will put it on there site get your more traffic:)
Hey Cam, this video is right up my alley as we have been looking to do a website but hadn't pulled the trigger, on the word press site, would you recommend which one to start with? maybe the premium or would you just recommend jumping up to the E-commerce version? Look forward to the next ones in the series!!
Na ecommerce dosent make sense as a screen printer. Unless you sell printed merch. and I think kf you install the woo plugin you will get abit confused start with the based then. You can add woo commerce later. It's free so add it any time.
Grateful to have found your channel Cam! Watched all your vids / podcast and am getting a lot out of them! I am in the process of planning out a shopify store until I saw this video. I've built a wordpress site many many years ago as an experiment to try it out (blog style with no payment processing). I am concerned about going the wordpress route because I am not the most tech savvy when it comes to coding and am worried I won't know what to do if something goes wrong with the site. I am assuming paying a developer to troubleshoot would be more expensive than making the monthly shopify payments, but don't know? Also, another concern is if you are processing payments on the site, how do you protect the site from getting hacked? When I had a wordpress site, it seemed like people were always trying to hack it. This is why I was thinking shopify might be a better option and worth the money saving me lots of headaches and aggravations. I would love to give wordpress another shot as I think shopify is too expensive. Would love to hear your thoughts? Or anyone else who has the experience?
Start building your website now to get more clients. If you are wondering how to get more clients this is how you do it. If you dont want more clients. Dont build a website.
Hey, thank you so much your video really thoughtful. I'm Just start printing shop what do you recommend to buy New Automatic press machine or just go with used one? I know financially is the new one more expensive but used one is half price just really afraid to jump in with new machine because of the cost. How was your first 6 month when started? Did you worried about financially to cover the all expenses?
Oh man I cant comment on this, other printers would have way more to offer on this than me in the auto arena. i can't offer any in fact. I know used presses even manual presses are a gamble.
Cam, as soon as my year is up with inmotion I'm changing to siteground. I use WP with Elementor as well. Need to build better site to help bring business as I am new to this. Been practicing on screen printing for about a year now. Got my first paid gig from an elementary school and they were happy with the shirts. need contacts for wholesale prices shirts too.. bring my cost down.
What's up CAM! What will be your suggestions on the best plastisol ink far as 4 color process packages are concerned? Should I get CMYK ink to start? Just looking for a lil guidance
Dude I wish I could give advice here. But we as a shop are not very good at cmyk. My seps are super in reliable, so the color shifts on press during production. I will start working on it this year and make some videos.
just tried doing this, youre guide is fine but the websites youre advertising are so outdated. since i refunded, they kept my money i used for the domain, so i still have the domain rented out? or what? what do i do, i hope you can help me since i took your advice and the site did not work in my favor at all
Na but if people use the link they have a fairly good referral program. But most host do so witch ever host was best I would have been able to get one.
Hey cam I did this online as you taught and now it’s asking me to transfer my domain to word press and wants to charge a separate cost I think.... am I doing something wrong 😂 @The Print Life
@@ThePrintLife could you go in more detail about that step? i got confused as how you eneded up on google domain. I would i point the name servers to site grounds dns reconds?
Do it Shawn it is super easy and cheap 3.95 a month for a website, compare the to shopify I think it's like $39 a month now and not nearly as flexable.
Thanks for the knowledge, Cam. I know you've gone through the years of trials and tribulations to bring us this concise video. Appreciate your time man 👍
Welcome this video was hard to make. The first few drafts were like 40 min long.

Clicked on this video and I already use wordpress and siteground so I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief 😅 excited to keep watching and learn more!
You are ahead of the curve. Did you activate the sg optimizer? I just turned it on on the print life and my site loads in like 1.5 seconds.
Oh gosh I don't remember😬 where do you select that?
Good stuff, Cam... You always deliver! 👍
Nice "magic t shirt change up" 👕
Thank you.
Da best!!!! Thanks for sharing all your hard work and info with us! 🤘

I build all my sites on wordpress. No pushback Cam. Great video.
It so awsome expecially in the last 3 or 4 years. With elementor, game changer.
And I use Elementor and have been wanting to learn more about it!! Can't wait for the next video!!
I just uploaded the next video. It ran so long, I will go in more depth with elementor in another video.
Awesome!++

Just my opinion I would get off shopify before you start making lots of content on that platform.
Thanks for the video and advice. I've never used wordpress or Elementor so I'll have to look into them.
They are great. Its such a powerful platform especially considering how cheap it is.
Fantastic info!!! Thank you!!!
No problem
As always, good stuff

I that. Wordpress used to rely on a basic understanding of code. Now its super easy, In fact I think it is easy to understand than squarespace.
I think I wanna try this ..I was gonna do Shopify 🤷🏼♂️
Yea and shopify is super expensive
The Print Life I think I wanna do this. Thanks for the info

You dont need to transfer the domain, just point the name servers to site grounds dns records.
The Print Life thank You Cam! 🙌🏽
