so ive had a shop for about 30years, and now that i don't have enough help in the shop ,I'm doing shit i haven't done in well over 20+ years ...your vids have helped me get back in to the production ...thanks man!
Awesome tips. I just realized that I do take to long to load shirts. Can't believe I haven't thought about having the print side of the shirt down on the table to make loading faster. Thanks.👍👍
Good tips Cam! I never worked in a print shop before I started mine 7-8 years ago. Loading correctly takes a lot of practice. I still wouldn't call myself proficient. Your grab is a bit different than mine, and I'm going to give it a shot. Very efficient!
Nicely done. very close to my method too... I do wish i had seen training on this topic before i started. I began with bad habits that I had to over come.
thanks a lot for that. I've just started my self and struggle with this, only have a single station press from ryonet but will definitely practice this technique.
Thanks Man. I worked in a shop in Tempe mostly catching. No one trained with such detail. I want to learn more and work in a T-shirt shop part time, hopefully near the Garfield District.
My two cents, I find that if I set the shirt print side up with the bottom opening of the shirt facing away while having a stack of shirts halfway off the cart, so the bottom is closer. Next, I pull the shirt from the bottom right and running your other finger next to the other and as you are turning and sliding your left-hand finger, opening the bottom wide enough to shove the shirt to the back of the platter. For shits and giggles, I tried to apply your technic but found it adds a second to the whole process, but I think with practice, yours should be just as fast. I hope this alternate technique helps.
nice and clean thanks Cam, from India. Please do a video on how not to get dirty, inked on self and greased on hands while working. Thanks and respect.
Hey man, love your videos, just starting and learning a lot. Just watched your testing discharge red vid, and realized today was the 8th, so Happy Birthday!
In one of your videos you were talking about water based printing and that if a shop does it about 50% of the time a method we can use is to use the same emulsion we would with plastisol ink but after you expose it and wash it out you can apply a hardening agent. The next step is to expose the screen on the exposure unit, then after you wash it out apply Chroma set and leave on for about 3-5 mins. then rise that off, set it dry in the sun or once it is dry expose it again for 30 sec on the exposure unit and that will harden the emulsion enough to use water based inks without purchasing a water base emulsion. This should work fine right? :) Thanks in advance!
Cam! WTF is wrong with me dude lol I have been having issues for a while getting shirts straight on my pallets and I just re watched this, went out and Bam! 6 tries 6 straight shirts. I'm slow lol but I should have listened to you a long time ago. Not brand new to printing but obviously not the brightest hahaha thanks bro
I have tried this and just have trouble. I have wood platens and wondering if aluminum platens would be a better option down the road. I have such a problem with getting them crooked. Any addition help??
Loading a shirt straight is a knack that you develop almost exclusively through practice. as for the pallets as long as you are registering the screen straight to the pallet it should not matter, unless each pallet has a different angle. I think aluminum pallets with precision cut adapters do help remove the variable. so in the long run you should strive for and upgrade in your equipment, but for now, use a square to make sure all your pallets have the same even angle. register you screen to the pallet, and you will have a good starting point.
@@ThePrintLife that's what I did last night for a couple of hours.. still getting the shirt on there with more on one side than the other. Not really crooked ...just off center.. thanks for your help I'll keep trying
gotta load quicker than that on an auto.. but solid tips and tricks my dude. long time sub new commenter. i just vibe with your attitude so much man. you got the mind set and the vibe to take over printing. i hope to see you do so.
Practice, If you ask me keeping ink off you and everything else is the sign of a good printer. Everything else is bulshit. Good idea for a video. Coming soon.
First time I've seen this fine and important detail. Printing is easy, centering a shirt is an art!
Yea just grab a stack of shirts take a few hours and just practice the load with no prints over and over,
This is what I like with this channel, even the simplest thing has its own systematic way of doing it. Thanks Cam!

From our experiance hardening agents are ok for runs up to 100pcs after that the emulsion starts to get soft.
Very helpful.. Thank you very much
