6 year old video still super relevant. I probably check this out once every few months just to make sure I remember my measurements correctly :)
your awesome at explaining things and very good speaker. i watch many educational videos and i think your the best out there for screen printing. your easy to follow, not boring and to the point.
Thank you!
OMG there's registration tape!?! The answer to most of my problems. Thank you for the video. This noob VERY MUCH APPRECIATES IT!
thanks for the comments
I would print the image about three fingers down until you get to XL and then adjust the load zone of the t-shirt by +one finger.
So if you had a 4" x 4" chest print, the top of the chest print would be even with the top of the neck line, or did I miss something? Or was this for just a single line of text.
Perfect for todays work. Thanks!
+RageAgainstTheScreens No problem, thanks for watching :)

Ryonet do these same measurements works with XL shirts and up?
Majestic Teez You may need to change slightly for XL, .25-.5"
Do you not use pallet tape glue?
The video is about 7 years old. which would probably put it before the introduction of Sgreen Adhesive.
Which size platen I should use for L, XL T shirts ? With 16" x 20" Frame
Thanks a lot !!!!!
is that tape the same has the Paper/Clear Plastic Transfer Tape
Robert Wilcox which one?
is the paper pallet tape like the paper transfer tape and the clear the same had vinyl transfer tape
Sorry, bud you lost me... are you asking if the pallet tape is the same as the clear choice tape?
I was given a small 12x12 screen to do a left chest print, I see it's done on bigger screens. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to make sure it's aligned? I'm very new to this and I'm nervous I'm going to mess this up.
Hi @A Abba! are you using a screen print press or are you holding the screen on the garment when you print? Knowing that may help me give you the best answer. Let me know! THANKS
@@Ryonet HI, I would like to use the press. But if I have to hold it I will. Hope that makes sense.
totally makes sense. I would avoid holding the screen down. Press is definitely the way to go. it's a bit hard to envision this being done with the 12x12 screen, but essentially it'll be the same. the easiest way to think about the left chest placement (for me, at least) is to think about the image being centered between the center of the garment and the sleeve seam. If it get's too close to the sleeve the image will have a tendency to look as if it's heading into the armpit. If it's heading too far towards the center it'll look strange as well. I also sometimes envision where a pocket would land on a pocket tee and try to emulate that. I often have recommended printing the first shirt of a test print that's in your size. once printed, go throw it on and check it out in the mirror. It'll help you know where to take it from there and build confidence as well. Hope that helps some.
@@Ryonet It does help. Thank you sooo much! I feel a little bit better, lol.
What mesh are you using? 110? 156?
elizabeth holcombe I would guess 110 because its white ink.
Ryan, i love you videos mate but did you notice the green print on your black shirt in this vid is of by 3-4 degrees?
Its too close right?
Which type of tape you used for mocking the print?
It's called Platen/pallet tape :) You can check them out at screenprinting.com
Thanks Ryonet...
