  • Hi And Welcome.
    This video is about a Newman style motor using only one copper coil. With no Resistors or capacitors or thristors or diodes, very simple set up with great results.
    I have designed a commutator that strikes twice per revolution because The Rotor has a 30 dia x 30 long magnet on each end of the rotor and same poles facing out. ie: N /N or S/S
    It requires very little voltage to get it working at speed.
    The fly wheel is made from a 8" X 18mm thick mdf and this is backed with a 2mm x 8 " steel disc.
    I have mounted 12off x15mm round x 15 long magnets on this fly wheel giving it more momentum with all the extra weight around the edge of the wheel. and I have attached another 12 off 20 x 20 sqr x 10 thick neo magnets to the 15 x 15 neo magnets making this a very heavy fly wheel to drive around approx 2kgms, but as you will see it turns it very easily with a massive amount of momentum once it is spinning. I believe that it would be possible to set up a generator with copper coils using these rotating magnets to power the coils Sending power back to the power source. Over unity?
    I am still making tests regarding this but I wanted to share this with you all first.
    The coil is 500 turns of 0.8mm copper wire. This coil can be removed and turned over if required. Also larger coils can be made and used to test performance till you get the correct size coil for the magnets being driven
    I hope you enjoy the video and find it interesting enough to give it a thumbs up..
    Please leave a like and thumbs up. if you want to know more please feel free to ask.
    Thanks

    I love that people are still building these motors. I hope we see them widespread soon.

    a leaf 🍁 spring switch for the motor!! good idea!! 🐱👍🏿
    sounds like a diesel engine!

      Hi yes, a very simple idea and it is very reliable too. And by making contact twice per revolution it makes the motor twice as fast. Thanks for your comment.

    Newman said imagine this scaled up to “the size of a pine tree”. I can see it being very powerful with only high voltage but low amperage to drive a massive shaft. And then with that much mass of copper, you only need to pulse the high voltage to keep the magnetic field alive in the desired polarity.

    That is pretty darn cool. Love the commutator

      the commutator is very reliable, I saw that many people on you tube always had problems with the copper wire commutator stopping very quickly. But this one I use never stops unless the battery runs down.

      Thank you for the nice comments, I am working on this set up at the moment and have had great results for producing Back emf voltage of 240volt DC with only 12 volt DC power in.

      @@DeryckThompsonChasingtheDream I would like to study the concept you are working on Deryck. What place would you recommend me to learn about what you are doing ?? Will give you any ideas that might come to me to help you along with free energy. I can tell you that when I was in my teens, you could read about all kind of energy saving making ideas. Very impressed with the cart wheel ...why are there magnets on the cartwheel ?

    • @DeryckThompsonChasingtheDream
      @DeryckThompsonChasingtheDream  Год назад +1

      Hi Thanks for your interest. The square magnets are magnetized to cylinder magnets in the cartwheel. I added the square ones to increase the flywheel effect to see if it ran better or worse. once up to speed it does help with the push of the magnetic force from the coil. hope I explained it properly for you. Regards Deryck

    I'm going for 0.315 enamelled copper wire it has a max current of 225mA
    the coil just needs more turns to get it the same size instead of making a smaller coil

    Newman had put one of his motors in a car. Could that be done with this one on a larger scale?

    • @DeryckThompsonChasingtheDream
      @DeryckThompsonChasingtheDream  Год назад

      Hi Yes I dont see why not. as long as there is sufficient tork it would be as good as the original Newman motor. I have had thoughts about placing two pots on a rear axial of a scaled model car to see how it performed. Still considering it. but it should work fine.

"Flange Rigid Shaft Coupling Coupler collar Clamp bracket Motor joint connector" price of them vary according to shaft size approx £3.00 uk pounds up to £4.50 uk pounds. I hope this helps, all the best with your projects. kind regards

      @@DeryckThompsonChasingtheDream Thanks David! I would like to pattern mine like yours. You do need to place a capacitor in parallel with the batteries to absorb the back spike and this will feed actual amperage rather than just volts to them. This is also how you charge the power pack and get the greatly extended run times. You will notice a difference immeadiatly. Thanks!
