    I am 3 months post surgery and I was told yesterday that I have great strength in all my leg muscles, but I do not have the capability of holding myself up on the injured leg. Does the pain fade with time? It only hurts when I apply all of my weight, ie calf fully raised.

    That is what I was told I needed to be doing by my therapist. She said that I have great motion and range, as well as strength in my leg, but when she asked me to perform what he is asking in this video I couldn't. The act of pushing off on the injured leg hurts at about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I can hold myself up but easing back down is no dice. Is my achilles ready for this?

    shawondermand.............I've been given these exercises for a ruptured tendon but doing them with my heal over the end of the stairs.......boy do they hurt!!! should I not continue with them then?

    Achilles rupture surgery. They went in and sewed it back together, and glued the skin back.

    Yeah, this exercise will just re-injure the achilles tendon again.

    No, if your pain is a 7/10 you should not be doing this exercise.

    How many days/weeks should you have absolute rest before even beginning on these one leg exercises?

    i limpd for 1 month...i did xray and i was given medicines named muvera 7.5 and prednisolone...plus cream to apply named olocort...i used them for two days and did calf stretching and iceing and using tennis ball im okay now, hope it will help you too
