After watching this video twice, I tried it myself. It felt like I was stretching out a very wound up tightly knotted muscle. Painful yet satisfying. After I massaged both tendons they both felt better! I haven't felt this good in months. THANK God your video was useful.
I had a muscle tear in my calf, 10 days later tried to trot on it when I thought I was healing now my Achilles is tender as heck, MRI showed small tear. I'm utilizing what you featured...thnx
Hey thank you for the video. I'm doing some exercises to rehab my aquiles and this is quite helpful. Does anyone knows if this massage should be done after or before stretching?
I had been having issues with my Achilles being sore directly on the back of my heel after running for quite awhile. It was nothing debilitating, but a regular nagging I could count on. I decided to get pro-active and look into some massage techniques to use before running. I used those described in this video and after my run had the worst pain I'd ever experienced. I had to basically drag my foot back up the hill to my place, crutched it for a few days, limped for a few weeks, then was finally able to walk more or less normal - if not pain-free - after that. I don't know if it's because I did it before the run rather than after, but I strongly encourage everyone to use caution when making the decision to use this massage. I'm not sure it works as universally as we might want to think it does.
how many times per day should this be done, before or after exercise, should i stretch in addition ie. step stretch, wall stretch, towel stretch, before or after exercise? thank you so much

I limped for over 1 year Finally, the only thing that worked was heel dips. I did heal dips throughout the day for 2 weeks. Completely normal now.
