Thank you for watching!

love the way you mix the HDRi / sun light together and get the better result. thx man for the technique
Thanks Arthur I was about to go crazy with my lightning setup - love the mix function :)
Love the tutorials! just picked up C4D and you've helped a lot! 👍
Would love to see a tutorial on how you made the whole project from scratch. The modeling, the texturing, the lighting and the animation. Because that first litle scene you showed in the beginning of your video looks amazing! Anyways this was a great tutorial too!
I'll take a look at doing that :)
Thank you very much! This will help me a lot
I'm glad :)
Wow, great tutorials!
Thank you man :)
I am speechless ....Well done Bro
Thank you :)
That's the best lecture ever!
Hey! Would you be able to do vray or redshift or any other plugin of your preference that doesn't require a nvidia graphics card? I would like to see you teach something other than octane just for once. Thanks
That model 😍
Thank you :P
I love ur tutos arthur
And I love you sweetcakes
Hi Arthur. How do I hide the hdri background please
Good tutorial.
Thank you :)
Awesome video! thanks!
My plesha broski 🙂
My pleasure broski 😊
Thanks bro
You're welcome :)
Could you do more tutorials for beginners? Such as how to start a scene from scratch like what settings to adjust and what they do.
It's being requested a lot so I'll look at it
@@ArthurWhitehead its 1 year ago please release ittt
That watch looks dope! did you use a real one as example or did you create that by your own?
Thank you, I found a picture online I used it as a reference.
Hi Arthur, awesome tutorials here. Could you tell us your current setup? Thank you in advance!

Hello Sir, thanks for this video. You're just awesome in Octane Render. If you can please made a video about Materials create in Octane Render (I'm using Octane Render 3.07). Is there any way that How to convert my Cinema 4D Materials into Octane Render? Please create a video only for Materials and HDRI. Thanks in Advance. Please.Please.
Very helpful,, can you make a tutorial about in depth octane lighting setup!
I will if I had a project that involves it :)
Arthur Whitehead I'm waiting
How do I hide the HDRI?
Was wondering how you use a hdri in octane for the lighting and reflections, but hide it from view? In fact would be best if you could render it with a black background regardless of what hdri you use? I know how to do this in regular cinema 4d with a compositing tag but not sure in octane! thanks in advance!
I believe by just checking the alpha channel in octane kernel settings (i'm late xd)
@@jamelechorfi I've since learned you have to also check the option for alpha in the regular c4d render settings in addition to selecting it in the octane renderer. :)
If anyone can explain this problem. When i load 16/8k hdr as an environment i get reflection noise/fireflies on glossy materials. I'm using PT and got gi clamp at 1.
I solve it only by cranking the samples to 5000+. However when i import 3k images as hdri i get a clean image with no noise/fireflies on 1024 samples.
Is there a hack to get clean renders with 8k/16k hdr without cranking the samples so high?
How you can hide the sky object seen by the camera? Does the cinema 4d compositing tag work on this?
Make another one and make that one a visible backplate, or turn on alpha background
From where you can find those cool high qualitative 3D models?

can someone help me pls??? I do everything how he does, but I cant see any hdri? So I choose one hdri, but noting happens???
Make sure it's the only light in your scene and also make sure you're insterting an exr format HDRI then see
Can you do a project start to fish ...I Would learn a lot from it..Thanks
I might do an overview but start to finish would take too long.
when i insert an HDRI it doesnt seem to do anything. does anyone know why?
same
Great video! I can’t figure out how to decrease my render times even more... I’m using two graphics cards: GeForce GTX 1080 and 1080TI. I also have an overclocked AMD Ryzen 7 1700X processor, and 32 GB of RAM. Strange thing is that, while rendering, in the Task Manager I see the CPU working at 50% (almost all the time) and the GPU at 3% (except sometimes when it reaches like 30%, but it only lasts half a second, then it returns back to 3% or even 0%. This happens only with the 1080TI, which I use as my main graphics card, the other 1080 just stays at zero all the time). Is this normal? I’ve seen other videos where people render frames in few seconds using GPUs not as powerful as mine, and I’m currently at 1min with a relatively simple project! :( ...Is there any other way I can decrease to a MAX my render times??? Thanks in advance!
There's a lot of variables you'd have to do research and ask on the octane Facebook group
Bro you need to do sli to decrease render times. GTX 1080ti and GTX 1080 can't be SLIed because they are different. Sell your 1080, and buy 1080ti card and an high bandwidth sli bridge.
What is happening with the instagram account? It looks slightly different than in the video...
This video is also a year old ;)
When I put the hdri in image texture in the live viewer this becomes dark... why...
You need an hdri that's why lol
I downloaded it from poliigon 😂
You need to be a lot more specific my dude
OK so whenever I use an HDRI in Octane, it's WAY too bright. Making it dimmer, usually an intensity of like .0001, doesn't produce satisfactory results. I'm using HDRIhaven. Any idea?
Actually, the gamma of the HDRI looks wrong, doesn't it? IDK if I can post links on youtube so here I go: imgur.com/a/qCKc5hV
@@mitchellsack The work space of your project and hdri probably don't match. Try changing the gamma of the hdri to 2.2 if it's currently at 1. If it's currently at 1 try changing it to 2.2. If that doesn't work google linear work space in octane you'll probably find information on how to set your live viewer to respond linearly.
@@ArthurWhitehead Yup, just changing it to linear colorspace did the trick! I suppose the HDRIs I've used prior that DID work were in sRGB?
Hey! So I recently got ahold of Octane and I AM IN LOVE! Its so great for working with renders, animations etc etc. But throughout my time using it ive had a little texture bug. Its like the polys on the models show through the textures. Here is a picture. gyazo.com/4fb7059b5f5c330df3ce5bac9307c9af This has really been an issue because with this animation im doing im trying to go all out with detail, sound design, animation etc etc but with little bugs like this it can be sooo stressful. If anyone at all has a fix to this please feel free to respond. Ive asked almost everyone I know and they dont know either. Thanks, have a great day!
You should probably start by explaining what the actual issue is
