And yet I said the 1.0 was a HUGE let down (I paid full price for that chair too), and talk about many of the negatives of the v2.0 in this video…I’m either the worst salesman ever, or I’m telling the truth at the cost of sales + the cost of the chair. Happy with my Herman Miller Embody x Logitech Gaming Chair. From a person who sits in front of a Desktop Computer for 8-16 hrs a day, it's super comfortable. My previous was a Razer X Genshin Chair and the synthetic leather wore out after 2 years. With Herman Miller, I am happy with their 12 yr warranty

I just got the Embody.. and it's super uncomfortable for me.. I have looong legs, so there is a 3-4 inches between the chair and my knee. The lumpar support hits me on my tail bone.. sadly going to return it, trying to find a better alternative.

I left this part out of the video bc it felt like I was going too long, but I think only reason they changed it was bc they were losing too much money lol. My friend visited HM HQ and they sell used chairs in their store area. Most chairs were Vantum’s with a busted headrest.

Just did a big round up video - check it out here I Reviewed 100+ Chairs. These Are the BEST Chairs for EVERY Height and Budget 2024-2025 ruclips.net/video/dMiE0l6ehRA/видео.html
Hello! First of all, great video I really appreciate the honesty and transparency. I have a doubt, how can I know if the chair is the 2.0 version? Because on the official Herman Miller website it only says "VANTUM GAMING CHAIR" and I don't see any 2.0 label. Thanks!
Hey! As mentioned in the video, they discontinued the 1.0. Any chair sold on their site is the 2.0. If you REALLY want to be sure, get a color that isn’t black or white, as the 1.0 only came in black or white. If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link when you purchase! It helps the channel a LOT!
Is the lumbar support overall still the same as the first version? Excluding the knob change. Does it still feel like low quality plastic barely supporting your back?
I own a Steel Case Leap, which I love. I returned the Herman Miller because I did not like it. Please understand that these chairs are made a certain way. You will no longer have back pain. It's hard to explain, and maybe you don't believe me, but this is the truth. It's truly a price that you pay for your health.
I love your reviews man, I watched them all this week I think haha. Not sure if you will read me but I'd love your advice... I currently have a HM Sayl with lumbar support and I was considering upgrading to the Aeron or the Cosm, mainly to consider getting a headrest (Atlas). I went yesterday to a store and tried them both and came back not liking either. The Cosm not having lumbar support is a killer for me, too soft on your back, not ideal for long hours... The Aeron maybe slightly too rigid and just feels outdated with so many mechanisms. Do you think I should consider the Embody now? Ideally I'd keep to mesh chairs only, but after seeing your reviews I am curious. Ty in advance :)
5’ 11” and big headrest user here thanks for the save on this one, any recommendations for >5’11” that don’t have the hanging butt and headrest problem?
If you can bring your budget up, def recommend the embody with an atlas headrest. That, or the gaming Xbox fern (the other versions had butt hang from my testing) with atlas headrest. I’ve got videos on both and both are currently on sale - please consider using my links if you find my videos helpful / useful!!
hi Ahnestly, can you make a video on best monitor arms ? Please, my monitor Wobbly a lot when I am typing, can you suggest best of the best in the market.
I don't see the headrest going down as a problem. If you tilt back the headrest is going to, imo, a more natural position in your neck. You don't even have to do it yourself. That's genius IF it was intentional.....
I think im gonna stay with my titan xl from secretlabs for now... I may consider the embody but is way too expensive and I dont know if it suits me (1.83m and big back)
I thought Herman Miller's design philosophy was that a well designed chair does not need a head rest? Should I conclude that, since the Vantum has a head rest, it's not a well designed chair? Maybe you're not really supposed to buy a Vantum? Maybe you're just supposed to let them upsell you to an Embody, which is the greatest chair ever produced?
i really dont understand.. i mean , call me extra for that, but why dont have a fixing in place knob for the headrest? i mean, okay its adjustable, but honestly, how many times you adjust the headrest for your own use? well? so i would say it needs a tension based fixing thing. i mean you sit down you adjust the headrest for the optimal position, you get out of the chair and us the knob or something else whatever they come up with to fix the position..
Is it worth getting if you don't like the Embody? I got an Embody during the holiday sale last year and I just don't love it. I wanted to return it but "give it a chance" got me and I passed the return window. This seems ok, but I'm a little concerned with the seat pan depth. I also don't like aggressive lumbar but this seems somewhat adjustable.
Sadly the headrest and the seat itself is still dealbreakears. For the same money I can instead find a real 24/7 operator chair that is made of steel and got lockable headrest. Also comes with a really thick and durable seat made for up to 210 cm tall and 200 kilogram persons lol.
I have always wanted a Aeron chair... I practically live in my chair while programming all day. But I only want one because everyone says they're awesome for computer users that spend hours at a time sitting down. My problem is that I'm cheap. The most expensive chair I have ever purchased was around $275 for a really horrible 'gamer chair' that I despise. It's cheap, falling apart after 4 years, and yea... It was good when it was new but it exponentially has gotten worse over the years. Almost in the market for a replacement.
tell me, is that 2.0 now on the website, I mean they removed the old one, so if I order now at this summer discount, I'll get what you just presented... your opinion, is embody much better than that
Embody. Fiveever. It’s currently on sale - please consider using my link if you decide to pick up!! (May be worth watching my gaming vs non gaming embody comparison video first!)
After owning and or using several Herman Miller chairs I have determined they really don't make the best chairs. The Embody never grew on me and the Aeron is trash and none of the others I even want to buy, even the Eames soft pad wasn't that good when I tried it out. Steelcase and Haworth chairs are much better.
Hard disagree. Nobody does a better mesh than HM. The embody manages to do a cloth chair that mimics the bouncing properties of a mesh chair although it creaks quite a bit. Haworth has some of the WORST fabrics on their seat pan. I have no idea why they do this. Steel cases chairs are great but the lack of a rocking seat pan makes leaning back feel a bit awkward if you've sat in an HM. This is my experience owning both Aerons, mirra , sayl (shockingly conmfortable), embody (current chair), Contessa, leap v1 and 2, gesture, Very, zody, and the fern.
@@godyamit Mesh is trash. I just replaced my Embody with a Humanscale Freedom but I am looking for an Ekornes Stressless office chair or a Gunlocke Washington. I have a Haworth Improv HE from the 90's and the fabric is amazing, the chair looks new and it is still so comfortable. I hated my Haworth Fern but the leather was top notch. I still love my Leap, just wish it had a higher back or headrest but it feels great when you move back and forth and the fabric is the best out of anyone and the seat very comfortable. The Leap is my go to recommendation for someone that doesn't know much about chairs but wants a nice one.
@@venom5809 almost forgot about humanscale. Take care of the fabric if you didn't get leather. They glue it to the foam so once it separates it looks like loose skin and you're never repairing it
@@godyamit Mine is fabric but I am thinking of buying the leather panels off eBay and swapping them out. I think a gel seat would be better than the standard seat now.
That’s because it is. Most “gaming chairs” are mad uncomfortable and just… suck. I’d rather get a Haworth Fern for just about the same price, but _WAY_ better
Herman Miller makes some of the legitimately most ergonomic chairs on the market. Millions dumped into body science and ergonomic studies. I still wouldn't buy this chair, but the Aeron or Embody are some of the best chairs you can buy for your own health ever made. I've got an Embody that's about 6 years old now. It's going to last me a lifetime.
I made a comment on your first video, apologies for this one here, I am still trying to remove the headrest from my chair, if I could get some help, that would be amazing
6'4 is a unique beast. At your weight, I always recommend a higher end brand to ensure the chair will last. Steelcase Gesture, Gaming Fern (XBox one preferred because you don't feel a seat gap when you extend the seat out), and possibly the Herman Miller Gaming Embody (this is a hit or miss due to the curved shoulders on the backrest). There's also the possibility of going with a racing style gaming chair just because of your height (no other chair can cover that amount of back). I really like the Andaseat Kaiser 3 (they're going to send me a v4 to review when they get it in my size) and the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 chairs. I'd start with Steelcase/Haworth because of their great return policies. Then if those don't work, the other options because returning them costs a fee/requires more work. Hope this helps! I was just about to buy this but i’m glad i watched this video, im 6’7 220lbs, is there a different chair you recommend for me? (i am a big headrest user, currently have a really old secret labs chair)
Just did a big round up video - check it out here I Reviewed 100+ Chairs.

@@Ahnestly Ok got it! Thanks a lot
If only there was a purple one I would get a couple months together to buy it
Thank you very much!
Is the lumbar support overall still the same as the first version? Excluding the knob change. Does it still feel like low quality plastic barely supporting your back?
Lumbar is unchanged unfortunately
I own a Steel Case Leap, which I love. I returned the Herman Miller because I did not like it. Please understand that these chairs are made a certain way. You will no longer have back pain. It's hard to explain, and maybe you don't believe me, but this is the truth. It's truly a price that you pay for your health.
Yeah I would recommend the Leap over the Vantum 2.0 (it's why the Leap is in my ultimate chair buyers guide, but the Vantum is not!)
the chair review goat
Want the orange one so bad
I'm 5'11, do you think I'll have an issue with the headrest?
will you review the new Fractal design chair It look really good but I can't find any detail review
Yup! It’s gonna be a bit, since I’m still testing, but yes
It better be premium for a $1000, I expect it to be plated in gold.
I’ve got videos on both and both are currently on sale - please consider using my links if you find my videos helpful / useful!!
hi
Ahnestly, can you make a video on best monitor arms ? Please, my monitor Wobbly a lot when I am typing, can you suggest best of the best in the market.
I don't see the headrest going down as a problem. If you tilt back the headrest is going to, imo, a more natural position in your neck. You don't even have to do it yourself. That's genius IF it was intentional.....
I would buy if the seat wasn't a cushion. Put the mesh material from the Aeron in
Excellent video. Excellent. Another banger. Bravo!
Will you be reviewing the Fractal Refine Chair when it is available? looks good for the price.
I’m gonna try! Have a lot of videos lined up!
Liked for honesty, screw them, took your feedback and they don't send samples anymore.
I think im gonna stay with my titan xl from secretlabs for now... I may consider the embody but is way too expensive and I dont know if it suits me (1.83m and big back)
can the arms be disassembled and removed?
Do you have any videos about chairs for tall people? I’m 6ft 4 currently have a titan xl
I thought Herman Miller's design philosophy was that a well designed chair does not need a head rest? Should I conclude that, since the Vantum has a head rest, it's not a well designed chair? Maybe you're not really supposed to buy a Vantum? Maybe you're just supposed to let them upsell you to an Embody, which is the greatest chair ever produced?
can we have an update on the landlord situation?
i really dont understand.. i mean , call me extra for that, but why dont have a fixing in place knob for the headrest? i mean, okay its adjustable, but honestly, how many times you adjust the headrest for your own use? well?
so i would say it needs a tension based fixing thing. i mean you sit down you adjust the headrest for the optimal position, you get out of the chair and us the knob or something else whatever they come up with to fix the position..
Can you test out the CoreChair.. tango or classic
The Embody seat depth is adjustable, have you tried that?
@@gregorymoore2877 Yeah, that's not my problem, I am concerned with the seat depth on the Vantum. Sorry if that was not clear.
Sadly the headrest and the seat itself is still dealbreakears. For the same money I can instead find a real 24/7 operator chair that is made of steel and got lockable headrest. Also comes with a really thick and durable seat made for up to 210 cm tall and 200 kilogram persons lol.
Any recommendation for tall guys? Mine is 5’11 and yet to find a good office chair

why doesn't the headrest have a locking mechanism
I have always wanted a Aeron chair... I practically live in my chair while programming all day. But I only want one because everyone says they're awesome for computer users that spend hours at a time sitting down.
My problem is that I'm cheap. The most expensive chair I have ever purchased was around $275 for a really horrible 'gamer chair' that I despise. It's cheap, falling apart after 4 years, and yea... It was good when it was new but it exponentially has gotten worse over the years.
Almost in the market for a replacement.
I noticed a major price hike on the gaming embody. More money for the same old chair..
Nice! Almost sold on this one!
I feel like sitting in a $1000-2000 chair should be like Morty experiencing true level
Honest reviewers get my sub
thank you
tell me, is that 2.0 now on the website, I mean they removed the old one, so if I order now at this summer discount, I'll get what you just presented... your opinion, is embody much better than that
Yes they removed the old one from their site so 1.0 doesn’t exist anymore!
My embody is 10 years old now and I'm ready for a new chair. Vantum 2.0 or Embody?
Embody. Fiveever. It’s currently on sale - please consider using my link if you decide to pick up!! (May be worth watching my gaming vs non gaming embody comparison video first!)
Appreciate the vid!
I just did not get one thing. Is it 2.0 or its just silent update? I checked the HM portal and there is no such thing as 2.0.
They called it 2.0 and then stopped calling it 2.0 lol. You can Google it - other sites called it 2.0 as well
After owning and or using several Herman Miller chairs I have determined they really don't make the best chairs.
I think a gel seat would be better than the standard seat now.
from someone that just found out about "gaming chairs" this looks like a bunch of crappy plastic for 1k 💀💀
That’s because it is. Most “gaming chairs” are mad uncomfortable and just… suck. I’d rather get a Haworth Fern for just about the same price, but _WAY_ better
@@feraltrafficcone4483 bro I'm not spending more than 100$ on a damn chair 💀
Herman Miller makes some of the legitimately most ergonomic chairs on the market. Millions dumped into body science and ergonomic studies.
I still wouldn't buy this chair, but the Aeron or Embody are some of the best chairs you can buy for your own health ever made. I've got an Embody that's about 6 years old now. It's going to last me a lifetime.
I made a comment on your first video, apologies for this one here, I am still trying to remove the headrest from my chair, if I could get some help, that would be amazing
@@MytroZone should just be able to yank it out or look for some kind of clip that’s holding the headrest in!
yeh looks nice - but for me its still Embody - every day all day :D
Its a good lookin chair
Think I'll stick with Secret Labs - tyvm
Realest reviewer. HM is making a huge mistake cutting you off
Can’t beat the Stealcase Gesture.
is it Helio color? It looks orange on the website and yours is more yellow. I'm confused?!
It's probably the color grading / lighting. It is an orange yellow. Hope this helps! Please consider using my link if you decide to pick up!
What chair would you recommend for someone 6ft4 250 to 300 lbs?
If you decide to pick up, please consider using my links! Helps the channel a LOT!
