      You can up the gain on a microphone with a eq pedal or boost pedal, then switch it off when you go back to voice so it doesn't overload the speaker. See if you can borrow one to see if it works for you.

    great advice, this video helped me buy rc-1, but i have one small issue with that, i have two channel usb sound card which im using to record my loops to pc (fl studio) but when you will loop some vocals and then sing to it aswell it will record both on microphone channel so from my point of view: if you have microphone connected to input A and guitar to input B, output A will also play input B signal. So if you will record input A to pc separately it doesn't matter because guitar/input B will be play in that track too. Any solution? i have two separated inputs for microphone on sound card so i suppose i can simply switch cables or buy second microphone or more expensive looper

    Incredible, you are a master, greetings from Nicaragua, Central America, I wanted to know how to connect an RC-300 to the 1202fx console and make all the channels LOOP, using the FX, but without losing the effects of the console, just bring the loop signal to the console, I don't know if I make myself understood, bring the loop pedal signal to the console, but continue using the effects of this same console, I would appreciate your help

    • @ZumarMusic
      @ZumarMusic  2 года назад

      Hi I haven't used a Boss RC-300 so I'm not sure if it tries to balance the inputs to an even volume on the instrument inputs or not. You could use a cheap mixer or boss line selector pedal to get more instruments in to the looper. you could try for example. guitar - into instrument in mono L, Keyboard in R then guitar out mono L, Keyboard out R then plug the L and R outputs in to chanels 1 and 2 of your mixer all with jack to jack cables (four cables) If you plug a Microphone into the looper aswell it will be mixed between output left and right so It might not work well if your changing volumes on your mixer.
      The newer loop pedals by boss have advanced routing options built in to help with this. The also have online manuals on the Boss website, another resource is Facebook groups, there probably is one for the Boss RC-300 and members would know more than me. (I only have experience with Boss RC1, RC2, RC3, and RC-500. Good luck getting it to work.

      A mic needs to go into a mic input, because the signal will be to quiet otherwise (unless it's a really powerful amp) you would need effects on your amp that we're separate for both channels if it does work. I hope that helps Zumar.

    • @ZumarMusic

      Mirza Nur Anshari the rc30 is good because it has easier start and stop functioning and dedicated Mic and guitar looping with separate volumes but takes more batteries than the other two.

    • @ZumarMusic
      @ZumarMusic  7 лет назад +1

      The benefit of your set up is that you won't record background noise in the Mic when your looping guitar :)

    • @lesterfalcon1350
      @lesterfalcon1350 5 лет назад

      A late input, but an ABY switch would allow choosing, and would also free up the other input for a bass or another guitar.

    • @lesterfalcon1350
      @lesterfalcon1350 5 лет назад +1

      Have you tried feeding the ditto into the RC1. I've been wondering about syncing issues, but it's just dawned on me, I could use the ditto mic to create one bar loops or two bar loops of several layers quickly, then feed that into to RC1 to make a longer 8-16 bar loop.

    I tried to plug my mic into my rc 3 with a female to jack xlr and the sound quality was horrible and you could barely hear the sound. Any solutions for this?

    • @ZumarMusic
      @ZumarMusic  2 года назад

      The sound quality is bad because it is only 16bit onces it goes into the pedal and the signal has changed from balanced (xlr) to unbalanced (jack).
      A Di out of the RC3 to change it back to balanced might help before going into your amplification or an eq pedal before amplification could boost the signal (but not help the quality of sound much I'm afraid)

      I probably didn't stop it looping at some and missed pedaled 🙂

    • @ZumarMusic
      @ZumarMusic  3 года назад

      Every so often when you're looping at a gig you can forget to stop looping and end up over dubbing a lead part by mistake, it's generally better to just hold the pedal for two seconds while playing the first overdub a few times, then tap the pedal while still playing and rebuild up your loops. I hate it when people just stop the loop and apologise, cringe.
