Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. I have the exact tv and had the exact same problem. 30 minutes later my tv is as good as new and saved me a few thousand dollars. 👍🏻
Glad to hear it fixed your issue with your TV and thanks for your comment! Any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated so I can continue making more videos like this to help others! Thanks and happy TV watching during this time of self isolation while we ride this covid out of existence. Cheers and stay Safe !!!!!
I had red light flashing twice but I was also hearing a 'click' noise when I pressed on. LED's were fine and I had no voltages going to main board. I took out power supply and inspected solder points on back found ONE solder point at main transformer cracked. I fixed that solder point and inspected all of them. Put power supply board back in and the TV WORKED great. Your video gave me a process of elimination step that helped. Thank you for knowledge sharing. Thats how we all excel.
Thank you so much for this video. I have the same exact model (UN55C8000). I had followed other tutorials and had already re-balled 90% of all the transformer joints but somehow missed this one. Replaced two additional AC Capacitors that looked a little pregnant just for good measure, but she's back to full function now. Such a great TV and they don't make many 240Hz Tv's anymore!!! Priceless video!
Thanks for your comment ...glad that it worked out for you! Please forward to others if you think they may benefit from it ...don't forget the fund me link if you appreciate the video....it will help fund future vids! ....otherwise enjoy your TV fix and cheers!
Ok but you are a life saver!!!!!!!! Tv whisper!! 😂😂 I fixed mine last night and that was exactly what was wrong with it thank you soooooooooo much !!!!!
Thank you very much. My Samsung had exactly this problem. And - it was exactly the same transformer in exactly the same spot! I had to de-solder it first and then clean up the circuit board with some flux. I don't know what the contaminant was on the circuit board but, it was preventing my new solder from bonding properly. Once I cleaned everything up (flux), it took and now my TV works like new. Thank you ever so much. (I had already taken my TV in to get fixed - they replaced the capacitors but, even said they didn't really need it but, they missed these bad solder joints). Good Job. Fantastic!
I'm glad it worked for your repair, nothing like being able to fix it yourself and saving some money!! I like to create more videos that may be beneficial to others so any donation to the link below would be greatly appreciated, otherwise enjoy your TV fix and back to watching the tube !! Thanks for your feedback and cheers! www.paypal.me/HelpFundFutureVideos
How do you tell if it is cracked ? And if it's cracked what do you do and if it's loose do you just re solder it back ? Or do you have to replace anything?
It's really hard to tell if there is a crack or not as sometimes it can be a very small crack not visible to the eye. If the solder looks old and grey chances are it's a cold solder...meaning it should be re-soldered. Sometimes just heating it up and adding solder over the old one would do the trick. I would re-solder all the posts as indicated in the video even if you don't see a crack. You shouldn't have to replace anything. Hope that helps!
Just got through remounting my TV that was fixed with exact problem. Only had 1 cracked solder joint in my case but redid all 4 like you suggested. Came right up. Thank you!
Glad it worked out for you! Don't forget to buy me a beer or two....it would greatly be appreciated! Happy TV watching!!! www.paypal.me/HelpFundFutureVideos
I have to thank you for making this video. I have the same model and tried the steps exactly as you showed and the TV came back up! My boys are now happy watching Sesame Street. Thank you!!
Great and your quite welcome! Glad it worked for you! ....any monetary donation no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated to help fund more future videos like this. Check above link...thank you. It would be greatly appreciated!
Great video, I will have to check my UN40C6300, if it has the same problem. That board, is a power supply + LED driver board. Mainboard is the other board.
Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. This should hopefully be the fix for your TV issue. Also check all for swollen capacitors and replace them as they could lead to other problems. Cheers!

hi! i want to try to do this but i am not a handy person and am nervous about messing it all up... and would have to buy all those tools.... any advice?
Hi...it's best to get someone you know who is a little technically inclined to maybe help you with it. The tools are cheap....small soldering iron can be purchased for under $30 ...maybe even under $20 ....solder is about $3 to $5. I think you can pick up a solder kit at "The Source" or even a hardware/electrical store. The only other tool you need is a screwdriver. Or ask someone who has a soldering iron...chances are they can try the fix for you by watching the video! Hope this helps a little!
Your quite welcome, really glad it worked out for you! Don't forget to buy me a beer or two....it would greatly be appreciated! Happy TV watching!!! www.paypal.me/HelpFundFutureVideos
I don't think it matters how old the tv....it depends on manufacture and the common problems that most of these brands have....especially with the soldering work at specific joints. It doesn't hurt to try especially if your tv isn't working, nothing to lose at this point...Cheers! That tv on the video was purchased in 2010 and still working today after that fix.
Yes...chances are if you have issues with your tv not coming on or clicking sound than the fix for it is in the video. My tv was also a 55 inch.@@haneefahson973
My tv is making this clicking sound with no picture… but before I take it apart, I was wondering if it’ll work on model “LN52A550P3F” as well? Thank you in advance for the advice, I really appreciate your help. 😊
I can't really tell you, but at this point you have nothing to lose as it's already not working. I'm guessing that it should be the same issue as it sounds like the same exact problem . Worth to try!!! Good luck and let us know how you make out!
..it's not only 55" samsung tvs either - Ive got a 46" doin' the same BS, clickin but wont switch-on. Samsung directors should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves allowing shonky capacitors to go into their expensive LED's, etc. Must have caused many thsds to suffer this debilitating failure ! No more Samsung for me, indeed, Sam sung his last song for me !!😑
Congrats & your quite welcome! Don't forget to buy me a beer or two to show your appreciation!! It would be greatly appreciated on the next beer run! Thanks. www.paypal.me/HelpFundFutureVideos
The only way to know for sure is to open it up and have a look inside....look for any bad or cracked solder joints, only if your TV has the same issue as the one listed in video.
Didn’t think this was going to work, but figured what do I have to loose, TVs not working anyway. Did exactly what was shown and viola, thinks up and working again
Glad it worked out for you! Don't forget to buy me a beer or two....it would greatly be appreciated! Happy TV watching!!! www.paypal.me/HelpFundFutureVideos
Would still try and re-solder areas indicated in video....(Not sure if your replacement board is new or not....but that was the main issue with those boards...might be worth a try as you have nothing else to lose at this point) Good luck!
Dam I’m having the same problem with the same tv I’m about to find out if it’s the same thing wish me luck tv just clicking clicking clicking with the red standby light I’ll give it a thumbs up 👍🏼 if it is be back with the results soon

Ps, also the driver transitor solder pads were cracked and needed resoldering. This transistor is located just above the transformer coil.

Not quite sure..LOL! It was available with the video editing software!
My TV wouldn’t turn on. It would cycle click on and off.
I melted the solder around the capacitors and controller board chipset.
Works fine for now.
