For those of you who didn’t get a fix from this, let me just say my TV was just 3 months out of warranty when this happened and I talked them into covering labor and parts for my repair. It took a month to get it all settled, but it’s worth it to try. We spend too much on these things for them to break so soon.
I would never pay to repair mine would of cost 550 for a eton board and to replace board. I can buy my same model new 397 lol yea not paying some bone head repair scammer to fix my tv.
I'm in that boat right now. Warranty is only a month out which they said they can accommodate, but there isn't an authorized service center near the seattle area. No service center near one of the most populated cities has me mind blown🤯
based upon their customer service and the issues I have had with them, I would never ever buy another samsung product. I hope the US government investigates them for their business practices.

Maybe all samsung tv units have the same problem... Mine i really dont. Know if its oveheating problem or another problem with the flex wire of my tv...
Thank you, this fixed my problem. Previously paid an electrician-he didn’t help solve my problem. Called Samsung they told me via telephone too bad so sad but it’s out of warranty and I had to pay to fix it, they didn’t even tell me about the bottom button. I flipped the breakers several times and that didn’t work. Again thanks because I was just about going to throw the TV out! My TV is only 1 1/2 old.
I try this and its worked! If you still see the text/menu then go to setting - Support - device maintenance - diagnosis - suprise youre tv shiny agaain🤩😅
Thank you! This is SO much easier than the other suggestions about replacing computer boards and placing tiny pieces of tape on ribbon connectors! You are my new hero!
After watching a lots of videos how to fix a dead Samsung tv I have found this video is helpful. All others videos did mention exactly what u jus shown, except they said press and hold down power button in the back of tv for 30 seconds are wrong. After Watching your videos I unplugged power core for 1 minutes and press and hold the power button in back of the tv for 1 minutes and it’s working. Thank you details do matter, unplugging is key along with drawing that residual energy in the TV set. applies as well to other gadgets such as Laptops, desktop computers after repairing them for a while its something you notice when the black screen shows up.
it's an overheating problem. Samsung knows about it, but refuses to put heat sinks on the overheating chips. For some reason, they're assuming I would buy a new Samsung TV, when the old one quits after just 19 months...

When your screen went black did you hear a pretty loud pop sound? Mines just cut off completely. Then I managed to get sound and no pic. Still working on it as just happened. 🧐
Hi, thanks for the video, but the issue I have is that the TV is working fine, except for the ps5 connection. It has worked absolutely fine in the past too. I connect the ps5, the TV registers it as a games console, then goes to either a black screen or defaults to Samsung TV channel. I have tried multiple hdmi cables, multiple ports, hard resetting both ps5 and TV. Can you help?
Be patient. I tried unplugging and pressing the power button and it didn't work. The Samsung logo would show up and then black screen again with faint light. I had almost lost hope until I went to the breaker box. I switched off the breaker, waited a few minutes and powered it on with the remote & it worked!! On Christmas, I got a miracle.
Hi all. I have black screen but sound so I can only listen to radio grrr. I took everything out of sockets for time stated. I then took leads out and even wiped the back of tv n all places leads connect into and then got hair dryer on cold air n gave the back a good clean inside vents. Plugged everything back in and power on and still sound and black screen. I disconnected dvd and kept that out too. 2 days without a tv lol
I followed your steps. The LED light flashes on when I plug into the outlet. The screen gets a flash of dark blue for a second and then goes back to black automatically, no sound or image. Any other tips?

I have an older model and I’ve lost the remote. When I hit the power button, it usually brings up five buttons that you can access by tapping different parts of the power button. If I hit the power button right now, it stays completely black. I’m lucky I have the location of the power memorized.
