I love how with two large sets, Lego has basically given us an unofficial Pirates line with five high quality builds. Would love to see them do the same for Castle.
Great build! You may probably add a cave or a volcano, Ninjago 71722 set has a great skull as well that after a few changes perfectly fits pirates theme.
I think like you say that you can expand on this project for a long while as long as you get the plates and brick you need to build water and islands. Looks great!

That looks so great. Your MOC videos are my favorite ones and are the reason why I found this channel in 2018. (I would also love to see you city and western town to be back on the channel some day.) If you see any way, you should really dedicate some space in your room to this layout and possible future extensions that could contain some of your other ships. I'm debating whether I should have a Pirates layout as well for quite a while. Since I still work on a large city and some Classic Space layouts, I did not really get into it. My plan is still to incorporate these sets into the theme park of my city. Looking at this, I would love to have a separate layout with lots of islands, though. :-)

I wish you would record some fo your builds and then edit them into the show so it would be more engaging. If you combined the creator set did you just add the added builds from the 2nd set you purchased (from the other video) I'm guessing you didnt combine creator pirate and barracuda bay to make one set, but you combined your 4 sets (2 of each) - If you added that in your notes on the video that would be great.
well done, that double wall interrior is the way to go. still looked roomy inside too. I missed out on the baracuda bay, the lions knight castle got me back into lego. but this is way cool of a pirate island.

I also bought a complete Barracuda island from someone on eBay so have plenty of options to make something even bigger. All of my collection is currently packed away plus literally a loft full of MB sets still to build. We thought we were going to move house but didn’t materialise.
You have a City and a Western town....sounds like you need an ocean/pirate island table top next. Not sure anyone else is doing large scale pirate towns? Looks great!
Looks bloody awesome. Finally got my Pirates of Barracuda Bay last week but not built yet as like you I have no idea where to put it as also want to to a diorama like this.
Add this year’s upcoming Monkie Kid Flower Fruit Mountain with its tall peaks and waterfalls as an environmental backdrop to all of this and it would be just mwah.
A fun tip with the shark. Lego makes the shark look kind of goofy/happy with the eyes, but if you turn the eyes upside down it gives it a more evil look that could be associated with a man eating shark :)

I have at least 4 Pirate ships from the 90, the big one is 6289, unfortunately they are in a container that is about 3 inches deep with misc. lego's, what is the best way to sort through them and then find the correct pieces for the ships?
I would suggest to sort the tub of parts into colours and then get a parts list for each of the sets. If you are not sure what the set numbers are I would suggest using Brickset to find the set numbers and they also have a parts list for each set. Happy sorting!

I have the original Barracuda ship from 1989 so i have no need to remove the ship from the island.
