I just found this video (and this channel) with a web search for 31120 MOCs... I'm picking up 3 of these sets as soon as I can. Any chance of instructions appearing on Rebrickable?
And after ordering my first three sets and then finding another video of a castle MOC using five of these sets, I decided to put some other LEGO purchases on hold and pick up another three. I love the structure of this MOC, but it's a bit small after seeing the video from POMBricks of their 5-set MOC, so I decided to go bigger. I plan to also incorporate parts from the Ideas Blacksmith and Treehouse sets (I have two of each) into my first MOC attempt... and eventually, once the world has calmed down a bit more, I want to get my old Black Falcons castle sets out of storage (yes, they're in my mum's basement) and see just how big I can go with those old 1x5x7 castle wall panel pieces; I think they'd be perfect for a massive central keep structure.
And I'm finally getting close to actually building my beast. As I mentioned in my follow-up comment on your first build video, I have my old castle sets... not all Black Falcons, as it turned out, a bit of a mix of factions... but I think I can come up with a workable design even with a mix of light and dark grey, light and dark bluish grey, and black for the structure. I'm looking at a footprint of six times the size of your build, but I'm also incorporating other sets into my build as I mentioned above. I have some ideas for using the blue plates too, along the front specifically (because if I build the moat all around the castle, I won't be able to open the castle up like I'm planning with my six large baseplates).

I've organised 2 sets @ $95e I would go for a 3rd but I'm in the middle of replacing the classic space sets is sold during my dark age, man they're expensive! Hopefully 2 set plus some of my own pieces will get me a reasonable castle moc, with a bit of inspiration from yours ✌🏼 Looks good btw

Really nice work. Loved to watch these videos and the ones in the pirate ship builds, as well. Regarding your question, I'm probably not gonna build a proper castle but I'm planning on a historic medieval center for my city. I'll have a MOC based in the Blacksmith there and will probably get a few copies of this castle set, as well. It should be a nice parts back to build one or two regular wooden buildings with a stone base in the yellow/reddish brown theme of this set. Maybe I'll even have some remains of a city wall with the pieces from the sets.

@@DownUnderBricks Absolutely. I get why people who would like to get a more classic gray castle don't like this set too much. Me, personally, though, I'm always all in for cartoony builds and think the set benefits a lot from the colorful sections.

The draw bridge is awesome. But I will make your castle design smaller to act as a keep and house it inside a Fortress (3 set build on its own as shown on other RUclips videos). I have bought 4 sets and many buy another 2 more sets tmr.
Valid point Jon. I think I did mention it pretty early on though. Anyone customising their own build I think is probably more then an average lego fan with their own parts bins or knowledge on where to source them. Thanks for watching
I love that you showcase the best that can be done with multiples of just one set (with a bit extra added), the same way that you did with the ship. It's stuff like this, which inspires me to do the same - because too often other youtubers only ever show off the most epic of MOCs that are so beyond the league of "pieces owned" by the average Lego collector. Oh I love this, may I ask what are the curved brown window pieces on the edges of the Kings balcony and on the small turret on top of the Kings balcony. Driving me nuts trying to find them. Thanks very much.
It’s a new part, Frame 3x3 W/Bow part number 6343651. An easy way to find certain parts is use Brickset.com, key in the set number and on the page is a Parts tab that shows all the parts for the set. It can also be done on a number of other sites like Brinklink and Lego. Maybe that’s a video idea lol. Thanks and good luck 👍
Excellent MOC. It comes across as an upsized, improved version of the original set whilst other MOCs go for a fortress or deviate quite a bit from the original look. Would you mind sharing any instructions you might of made for this please? :)

Only negative about this set is the MiniFigures only 2 Knights and 3 figures total.
For a $100 set it's not enough.

Nice castle, but a bit misleading. You used parts from your own collection. This castle isn't readily replicable by the average consumer.

Bought 12 sets of 31120 and embarking on my castle build. Still building the main gate with marking drawbridge and portcullis.
