Everyone seems to be going this route, and it does make sense for so many reasons. That being said, I do sometimes miss seeing more traditional builds, but they are getting rarer and time is making even gen1 5.7 vortec engines pretty worn to buy used. Last of the 5.7 is what, 20 years old? LS stuff is everywhere, and is pretty cheap.
Definitely plentiful! I’m an old sixties era guy! You can’t go wrong with an old big block with aluminum heads & intake along with 11 to 1 pistons! Dan, what do you do for your day job? I like your supper terminology! I’ve never called it dinner.
You make it look so easy. Sometimes the hardest part for me is getting started, but not you. You just jump head first into whatever needs to be done. Enjoyed it once again. Keep up the great work!
I tell my self to spend 30 minutes every day doing something on my project and it all adds up. But usually once I get going I don't want to stop, sometimes I'll stop to take a break and then realized that it's the middle of the night.
Great work! Good to see another old rusty truck saved. I love short bed trucks, but I think I would leave it a long bed just to be different. Everyone cuts these long beds down. These style long bed trucks can look good with the right stance. Keep doing what you do. 👍
Once again an outstanding video. The high speed segment were bang on! Great to see you bounce between metal work, and other tasks. Makes for a great video. I literally sit here at work waiting for videos to drop . Hahah

just when you think your having crappy luck the engine falls safe in your truck! and with a couple of new ends that one extension cord becomes 2! Living life good!
Hi Dan late Thursday night I have a really good door if your interested passenger side for your truck.Really enjoy watching you do your thing.Your verygifted keep up the good work.

You will find the steering wheel is really close to the seat. You will barely fit in between the seat and the steering wheel. Find a motor home tilt steering column from any GM chassis motor home and it will hook right up. You may have to cut an inch or so off the shaft and add a U-Joint, but the motor home steering columns are a welcomed addition to these and very easy to swap.
Hey budd just subscribed love your videos ! Did all the same cab work to my 86 & 87 it takes some time for sure. Hope your channel takes off and judging by all the comments it will! Good luck!
You can replace the shackles with leaf spring sliders from Speedway, and move the leaf springs in about four inches for big ass tires in the rear to handle all that LS powah!

Aw man, if the wiring is that simple then we might be ok. Our LS is an all-aluminum ‘98 F-body version with the manual throttle linkage, complete with computer, accessories that hug the block tightly, and even the radiator and dual electric fans. Might be more plug-n-play than we first suspected. Thanks for showing us that! Where can we find that book/diagram you had?
the next video i try to explain it a little better its sooooo easy all the stuff is on lt1swap.com then literally click on the year and it will show everything
Good Job on video. I will say at first i was a little put off by you wanting to just move them. But it is fine who really cares it not just sitting in a field rotting. The LS is going to be good.
