    Holy mama, I just bought one A MONTH AGO brand new with both leather and steel bracelet, and now that video pops up. It has been my hidden gem grail watch for long, I'm so happy I have it now. A future classic and a -not anymore- hidden gem in 38mm. Thanks Watchfinder haha.

    • @chronounique5947
      @chronounique5947 3 года назад +3

      Not to pee in your soup and don’t misunderstand me. I highly doubt this will be a future classic. The only Bulgari watch that has this potential is the finissimo as it has the pedigree of being the thinnest automatic watch to date and even this as the whole Bulgari range doesn’t sell very well, hence the huge discounts you get on these watches. Nevertheless they are attractive watches but the finishing is slightly above average. Especially their dials and cases.

      @@IskanderVFX of course i can’t be sure but you can place a large bet that this won’t be the case. Not comparable in any way to Rolex and in the 50s or 60s not only Rolex were dirt cheap. Other 1st tier brands were also as you say „dirt cheap“. That has a lot to due with economical developments and inflation. A car back in the 60 on average also costed aprox 2500 usd on average. Rolex is Rolex and they control the flow of products into the market. Demand is far higher than their yearly production capacity of aprox 1 Mio watches. You won’t find any discounts on their watches either. Why do you think Bulgari has discounts of up to 50% on their watches….. because demand is far lower than what they are producing.

    Two years later and it seems as though people still aren’t paying much attention. The 2023 Octo Roma series seems to be the next generation of these and they now have lumed hands and indices. They are expensive for what they are, though they make for a more palatable concession for those who thought the Octo Finissimo was a bit much.

    Great video with clearly (given the comments) a little stretching for some. I also believe this is an ugly duckling but the design heritage, dedication, and finish make this a great buy too. The same price as an omega speedy, but with a finish from a much higher echelon of watch maker. Fully agreed, and hope this prices rocket one day too.

  • @PeacePoor
    @PeacePoor 3 года назад

    Given this isn't a paid advert, I do think the watch is nice enough to be considered a good bargain. As a GS/Omega fan myself, I'm not sure why people are gatekeeping the term "bargain". If it's a well crafted piece, made in the same factories and designed by the same teams behind "pedigreed" watches, I don't see the harm in enjoying it for what it is.

    I thought it was an Octo Finissimo at first, until I noticed the date window. Then I thought to myself…oh no, Bulgari have gone and ruined the Finissimo by adding that wart of a date window to it. But no, it’s a discontinued “regular” Octo…relief ensued 😅
