I have the titanium version of this watch, and my wrist is similar to yours in size and is also flat. I bought the watch two years ago and has it sized to fit snugly on my wrist, and I had the same problem of the lugs cutting into my skin. I added a link back so the watch would wear slightly loose to avoid the discomfort. Magically, the lugs don’t bother me anymore, I can wear the watch a whole day without discomfort. It's so weird. I've heard others complain about the comfort, but mine in black ceramic is one of my most comfortable watches. It's just light and stable. Like wearing a bracelet made of leaves from a tree.
I own chrono GMT, which is 2mm larger. And no issues, very comfortable actually, can wear it all the long. It hugs my wrist like a second skin. But last week I tried 40mm polished steel. And it was nightmare to wear, just like you described. I have similiar wrist size of 16,5cm. It is first time, when I prefer larger one! :)
Interesting your assessment regarding the unconvenience wearing the Octo. I own the same watch, have 6.5" wrist like you, but I have no issues wearing it. On my wrist it sits absolutely comfortable and I don't feel any razor sharp edges. It seems to depend on the shape of the wrist.

It's an unappreciated design from Genta in my opinion. The only problem is brand perception - if this watch was under say JLC or Vacheron it would be just as popular as the Royal Oak or Nautilus. I love the design and see it becoming a future classic. So, that's why I picked up the new stainless steel version in a blue dial.
Maybe it's too much of the same? Glad you are happy with yours, but Genta = Octagon / Porthole / Sloppy Circle. It's a fun watch, maybe. It's a silly watch, definitely. this watch is like the equivalent of a car with a super low ride height because race cars in theory corner faster when they have a lower center of gravity. when in fact in the real world the car has to crawl over any speed bumps, and is super slow at ANY every day driving at all. There's a reason why watches are mostly shaped in a certain way. Unless you're in an arm cast, your wrist shape will constantly change as you move, and such a rigid, wide and square watch won't work unless it's worn with a stretchable wrist band.
First of all this channel is a true hidden gem for watch enthusiasts. Great work as always and stunning chrisp photo. Well done indeed Hafiz and I know this channel will continue to grow. In my opinion all watches are meant to be worn and if this watch is that uncomfortable I would sell it in a heartbeat. That extra special bond is hard to achieve without wrist time no matter how beautiful the design is.
I considered this timepiece and examined it in person. I have a large wrist but this watch does not fit well. As other reviewers pointed out, the inner imperfections on watch's hands are totally unacceptable. The hands look second class. Absolutely not worth the price they ask. Hafiz is right.
I have the octo finissimo in satin steel and I find it to be one of the most comfortable watch in my collection. However it might be due to the higher thickness of the satin steel version..
Great review, Hafiz, thank you. Sorry for the comfort troubles with the Octo. To be honest, in my opinion, the watch doesn't look as natural on your wrist. The Royal Oak looks like it was MADE for you, not the case here. Just my opinion.
As someone who loves the Octo Finissimo, this video has left me with some questions and shined a light on a few problems with the piece that I wasn't aware of. I hope BVLGARI see and addresses these design flaws. Thank you, Hafiz.
Man, that thing must be a hair-puller as well, yea? Many of the shots you can see hairs sticking through the band. Makes me scared just thinking about it.
By far, the most comfortable watch I have ever owned. I have the stainless steel version with silver dial. Your wrist looks identical to mine, same bony prominence and same size, and honestly what you are experiencing does not make any sense. The links in the bracelet are rather short, virtually impossible not to get the right comfortable fit. I would advice anybody to go and try this watch before being discouraged by this video. Hafiz could have done a better job in choosing a less biased title...
5 seconds a day is way worse than Seiko NH35 would achieve. My best examples don’t deviate for more than a second a day, with a record holders (surprisingly) being UN marine divers, not deviating more than 4-5 seconds a month. So with all other complaints you’ve made, Octo does not look like a luxury product, more like a fashionable design. Thanks for the review, I’d probably skip this one.
@@normski2982 I did, both ceramic and stainless. Wasn't a fan. The bracelet is a real arm pincher and the clasp didn't feel nice. It's an awesome watch but just didn't wear comfortably for me.

I agree with you on all your negative points, I used to own this watch and that's the reason I sold it.
Great review, I really like the watch but a smaller version of it with a 100m WR, even if a bit thicker, would make this a perfect watch for me.
totally agree
Buy the integrated straps, they should be more comfortable and also give a different look to the watch.
I almost purchased the gmt chrono twice now...theres something about the way these watches that just does it for me.
I agree , they are everything to me for what I desire in a watch, that satin steel blue dial model is my goal to get one day🤞🏻
Cheers, will make sure to try it on before ever thinking to get one.
I Love the that you Show the Watch with your Whole Body,so you can Really See how ist looks
I agree with you. If you find the watch so uncomfortable, others will also find it the same way. That is a beautiful watch.
I own one steel blue dial I found it perfect and comfortable.
Such an interesting review. This was high on my list... less inclined now. Maybe I'll look at the streamliner...
Great review, Hafiz, thank you. Sorry for the comfort troubles with the Octo. To be honest, in my opinion, the watch doesn't look as natural on your wrist. The Royal Oak looks like it was MADE for you, not the case here. Just my opinion.
Please would it be possible to review the Lange Odysseus. Any way, I love your videos, thanks for sharing them.
As someone who loves the Octo Finissimo, this video has left me with some questions and shined a light on a few problems with the piece that I wasn't aware of. I hope BVLGARI see and addresses these design flaws. Thank you, Hafiz.
You saved me, I thought about getting this watch and I have a flat wrist
Were you really without ever trying it on
Plz review the all new omega speedmaster 3861!!!! Can’t wait to watch your video!!!
Normally i find negative video to be a contrarian effort, but this is legit.
Man, that thing must be a hair-puller as well, yea?
Many of the shots you can see hairs sticking through the band. Makes me scared just thinking about it.
It’s not most comfortable watch I own
Great review! Love the design but now I know I can’t buy it without trying it on.
Love you channel and your candor. It's really refreshing
Would love to see your opinion on the satin steel version of this with 100m water resistance.
That's too bad, it is a beautiful piece.
If only they made a smaller size, like 38x38 or 38.5x38.5.
Crazy. I love the look of this watch so much. But I am very picky about fit. And can’t chance it on a 10k watch.
My heart: "I gotta have this, it's gorgeous!"
My wallet: "Buy a Timex"
Wait. Gerald Gents designed this?! I thought it was someone different!
Beautiful, real-life reviews! Love them. Please include more brands than Rolex as you do with Bulgari, GS. Subscribed!
I have never had a watch cut me and I have had a watch since I was a young
I hope you get a chance to review the stainless steel version, great video as always.
I'd love to see you reviewing the steel version satin polished in blue !
Thanks for your work sir .
Love the watch movement, great review thanks very much. 🇬🇧
Tried it on and my arm hair stuck out over it and i’m not even that hairy of a guy😂. Sticking with my 214270 a while longer i guess lol
Interesting I'm not the only 214270 owner looking at the Octo. did you try the stainless steel version at all?
@@normski2982 I did, both ceramic and stainless. Wasn't a fan. The bracelet is a real arm pincher and the clasp didn't feel nice. It's an awesome watch but just didn't wear comfortably for me.
Imagine when you have to set the time in between 6:30 - 8:30 with this watch
Do you only use the hour hand to set the time? The minute hand and common sense is all you need to see what time it is
Women wear shoes that hurt them. Why not wear a watch that hurts you? :)
The finish of the hands is beyond terrible, I have never seen one like that are you sure you did not buy a factory scrapped watch?
Great video! Just stumbled across your channel and it contains lots of useful insights.
Fellow local over here, seen you around AWF/AWBBS.
Keep it up !
I think that your watch have those problems and you should replace it with another one imidiately when you saw inperfections and that the watch was sharp. They would replace it with another
without sharp edges and those specs on the hands.I'm sure they would replace it.So sory, but the watch is very comfortable to wear :(
You may not love it, but it looks pretty good on you
Hafiz, your overall style can have a channel of its own
i love your accent. beautiful videos
Not sure if I like the watch but I do like your review.
It's interesting that you say this because I've always found this particular design to be one of the most aesthetically beautiful designs in the watch industry today..
That’s a sharp watch, in more ways than one. 😉 🇬🇧.
You selling it?
A "disaster"... one of most revolutionary watches of last years, so many awards but for you a "disaster". Ok...
For him personally, you may have a different shaped wrist.
Ugly af as well
Never heard this problem before 😱
Lucky I didn't get it because it overwhelms my wrist..
How much money do you have?
Great watch people find all watches uncomfortable even ap rolex patek you buy a watch for your self
I’m curious what do you do for living?
buys watches and fukcs
Quite understandable opinion !
Its a technology marvel, too bad its too big for my small wrist. Would get it if its 38-40mm
I disagree with your assessment. The watch is very comfortable.
Everybody has different wrist sizes and shapes
I LOVE THIS WATCH MORE THAN EVERY ROLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Relax
I have it, in blue. Wonderful, very much !
Great video as always !
Gerald Genta invented this as well.
That iPad gets some serious use!
It does :)
The use is that I’m looking at the clip being shot on the iPad while it is being recorded with me showing the wrist shot :)
@@HafizJMehmood You have some of the best quality watch footage on RUclips so keep doing what you're doing man!
Thanks so much. :)
Keep the support coming pls.
Maybe your bracelet is too tight .
that's a shame it hurts your wrist. i have this watch in gold and it sits on the wrist seamlessly.
I don't Ike the looks of the case or dial. Bracelet looks nice
I like the watch on the strap it is offered with better.
