    Excellent. After watching your series I have a newfound appreciation for my Octo Finissimo. It’s impressive what Bvlgari has accomplished in the world of horology. While the rest of the luxury watch industry is content with issuing clones Bvlgari continues to manufacture amazing timepieces. A true icon for modern watchmaking. 🍻

    Superb!! Thanks so much for bringing this to us Alexander. I now have such an appreciation for these watches and their movements. Even the ‘standard’ movement looks so beautiful through that case back. The most enjoyable watch videos I’ve seen in ages…I’ll look forward to the case manufacture one later 😁

    You asked me before to update you once I get my new VC.. I am now enjoying my new VC Overseas 4500v red gold with blue dial very much, but it's sad to me how little there is on VC's website on the manufacture of their watches, especially the more simple ones like the Cal 5100 .. they're worse than Rolex at being "vague" in their marketing 🤣 .. They aren't talking to the watch nerd like you do. I mean for example, is the blue dial really made by FP Journe or in house, it would be nice to learn these kind of stories, do you think Vacheron Constantin would give you the same access so we could see how the overseas are made? I would LOVE to see this.. and only you can cover it so well!

    27:35 its annoying my OCD that the watch pillow thing they rest the movement/case on is covered in dust. You'd think they would keep those things in flawless dust free conditions but you can see tons of specs of dust and white lines in that blue pillow/plastic(?) holder thing.

    • @WatchAdvisor
      @WatchAdvisor  Год назад +1

      This removable surface (a decal) is attracting and collecting any dust and is exchanged regularly …

    While I understand the new bvl 138 improves winding issue from the old one, the decoration level seems to be lower compared to the original one, and without any public notice, which for me, it is a little bit disappointing. Feel a bit lucky when my OF still has the original 138 caliber though.

    Great video as always Alexander!
    Its a pity the watches can only be regulated to -1 + 11 sec/ day. Running at +11 sec/ day defies the original purpose of a watch and for me, although I like the design its now a no go to consider buying one.
