Great watches. I own the JLC and it is a great watch (great design, colom wheel chrono, 69 hours power reserve etc.). I miss it it because it is having service right now. You can see it is a JLC by a mile away, so that shows the design strenght of the watch imho. The same with the Zenith. Great design and I want one! The Brequet watch did not appeal to me (I like elements of the watch) although the story of Brequet is very interesting. Brequet was a genius. It is not fair to judge an 15 year old watch (design) with a macro lens because the standards today are so much higher. Lume applied by men is more difficult than lume applied by a robot. With the naked eye the JLC looks beautiful. Just my 2 cents.

Where else would you find knowledgeable presentations on esoteric watches 99.9% of us will never even be aware of let alone see...? This may be too niche, but I’d welcome a comparison between the Breguet XX, XXI (3810), XXI (3817) and XXII...
I used to have the JLC. Although I wasn’t sold on it as a timepiece, those oversized triple crowns worked wonderfully as a back scratcher when lowered on a piece of string.

Nope. There is some fairly shoddy lume application at 10:45. The Zenith and the Breguet have the level of finish you can expect in this price category. Excellent, but nothing more.
I’m still a beginner in this crazy priced horological hobby. I think this is the first time I’ve learned something about Breguet and the amazing Contributions they made to the industry as a whole. Kinda makes me want one now… actually make that 3. I would love to own one of each of these. Maybe one day… Best of luck and thanks for the videos.
This channel is so well above everything else in the watch world that this is unnecessary , but it is just fantastic to watch these masterpieces in such fine detail and with such good taste . Excellent all around
Couple of things I noticed on the Jeager Le Coultre from the macro shots. When one hand passes over the other you can see how unfinished the underside of the hand is. Also the lume is anything but applied precisely.
I have to say I am in awe of the Breguet! The dial is incredible in my eyes and checks off many of the boxes that would tickle my fancy. The Jaeger LeCoultre is a stunner as well if I remember correctly they purchase their hands elsewhere. Thank You! I appreciate all the efforts that are put into making these videos!
1:43 & 2:41 The reflection show the bottom of the chrono hand of JLC... yucks. I'd go for Grand Seiko, immaculate workmanship top to bottom, inside out.
The Breguet has been my daily watch for a couple of years now. It wears really well despite being rather "fat." I didn't really wear it at first because of its thickness, but took it out of the drawer after too many hipster types started complimenting me on the Rolex GMT Master2 Pepsi that used to be my daily watch. It definitely flies under the radar. I also have the Zenith. It's a great watch. I love the size and the history behind it. But it just doesn't get worn much at all. It's a mystery why the Zenith is so unloved. A business associate who also has the same Zenith agrees. You buy it because you admire what it is...but you just don't wear it.
Three very interesting watches. Although one would never see it with the naked eye, it's shocking to see the rusty undersides of the hands on the JLC and the Zenith reflected in your macro shots.
Oh no, that's really sloppy. I was thinking about El Primero in future, but after watching this I will go for Grand Seiko. Pretty sure they've taken care of both sides of the hands.
