    Well, in the last couple of months, I got a Hanhart 417ES 1954 and it's very special indeed. A stunning chronograph in its own right with loads of vintage feel. But the tie in with McQueen elevates it to a whole other level. Epic.

    • @waterfordrs22
      @waterfordrs22 8 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve got a Hanhart, it’s a nice watch, very good value. If you like vintage chronographs, check out the Zenith Chronomaster Revivals and the Originals. This video shows a Sport. It’s easy to find watches from those lines for a great value. I own a Hanhart, it’s a good watch, Zenith is in a different universe, but you don’t need to pay crazy money.

    • @desmondoreilly1210
      @desmondoreilly1210 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@waterfordrs22 It's funny you should mention Zenith, I often look at them. An El Primero original would be something of a grail for me. Maybe some day I will start looking at used prices. I'd love to add one to my watch box.

    • @waterfordrs22
      @waterfordrs22 8 месяцев назад

      @@desmondoreilly1210 those are spectacular. I’ve got an A385 Revival. I’m fortunate to have eclectic taste and those are available for the absolute best relative value. The Originals are a little more mainstream, less of a pure vintage reissue and as result, they don’t drop as much. That said, the watches within those two lines, pics and videos simply don’t do them justice. Perfect proportions, jewel like dial furniture. Spectacular color ways. Iconic yet eclectic enough not to appeal to everyone, but man is that ever a great chronograph to put at the top of your wish list. Good taste, not next level, next universe.

    Most chronographs aren't really my cup of tea, but the Junghans is indeed beautiful and the A. Lange Triple Split is a mesmerizing piece of art. However, watches that incorporate the Agenhor Agengraph module, such as the H. Moser Streamliner Flyback Chronograph, I'm especially enamored by. Everything being read by the central hands really cleans up the dial, and that movement is gorgeous! 😃And then there's the Lang & Heyne Albert...

      I had a Zenith El Primero De Luca from 1997. Bought the same year my younger son was born. Wore it everyday for 21 years, then gave it to my son on his 21st birthday. Nothing can replace that particular watch, but I have been saving ever since for another Zenith. I will get one, some day. The Rainbow Flyback probably. Then I will get a Fortis Cosmonaut Chrono, followed by a Speedmaster. These will complement my Sinn 903 and Omega Mark 40 Cosmos, and my chronograph collection will be complete. But Zenith is at the top of the list for me.

All bits and pieces are sourced from companies who know what they are doing and we choose and then assemble and make it work to the satisfaction of the passengers, hopefully. it would be crazy expensive to build up all the know how on all the parts of a train. That alone isn't such a big deal, but toss in the fact that it also has 100m water resistance, automatic movement, 70 hours power reserve, 28,800 VpH, and is less than 12mm thick at a great price from a historic brand... it is damn near perfect.

Of all of them, the only I still have is the Speedmaster, the rest are sold or gifted away. And after that Speedmaster I got 18 others, including the Holy Grail 376.0822 with caliber 1045, that I lamentably sold. I became a Chrono lover, and an Omega Fan boy up to this time, But I love that GS, just I would have liked that date be located at 6' giving symmetry to the dial, not where it is.
