@@jamesrobert4106 Congratulations. What year is it??? Take beautiful care of it but never part with it as you’ve said. Only gift it or inherit it family/loved ones that promises to do the same.
Reverso is DEFINITELY not for everyone - you need to have certain quality to wear it, ie. dressed in a certain way, well-groomed, work in certain environment etc. Imagine Arnold or Rock wearing a reverso lol.
I dunno... I think if we saw Beetlejuice...in a stained tshirt...holding some plastic bags of random...and wearing a Reverso... it'd be pretty exquisite, you guys!
Overall, great choices! 42mm and thick SMP might be too big for many...BB58 or 54 is a better choice....even if it may seems redundant with BB39. If you want a "universal" Omega...AquaTerra! Oceanus S100 and Patek Aquanaut are 2 more possible additions at opposite ends of the price spectrum.
I love my smp but my first omega was the PO gmt 43.5 and it was both too large and too thick. Sold it and got the smp and it feels tiny compared to the PO. The smp really doesn't feel too thick on the wrist at all, but the planet ocean at like 15.5mm was. I love it, daily watch on a nato most of the time and it's held up really well. Less than 1 spd on wrist too. I don't want to wear it every day (it certainly wasn't cheap) but I can't take it off.
I’ve got the Seiko 5KX midi, I put it on a dive strap, absolutely love it, such a fantastic watch and still has day date complication which i really like, perfect size watch, I’m hoping they bring it out in a blue dial with Pepsi bezel.
Really liked the Breitling at first sight, that green colour is great, but those sub dials cutting into the numerals ! It is criminal in my mind to have partial numerals with sub dials overlapping. Design failure if you ask me .Lazy. If you can't show the complete number remove it. Otherwise I might have had this one. You were correct to leave the OP to the end, not the version you chose but I recommend the Tuxedo version with the 'bullseye' dial. 116220 Stunner.
I'm not so sure about the Seamaster looking good universally. I tried it on my 7.5-inch wrist, and it looked and felt like a big lump. It's personal preference as well, but it looked really silly.
I love what Farer is doing. Each of their offerings is unique and makes excellent use of color. I have the BB58 as well and had the same thought. What a fun summer watch the Aquamatic Freshwater is and what a great contrast to the 58.
@@ajmarion Doubt you would be disappointed.I prefer the more subtle design to CW.Small logo and print, waves on the dial and great lume but not in your face.
Not sure if everyone would agree, but I think the Sinn 556i, albeit slightly overpriced right now, can fit a lot if not majority of the wrists out there with its simplistic but surprisingly eye-catching design (due to the deep gloss black dial). Another one I’d like to mention is the Longines Spirit 39mm. Perfect size, but only nitpick is that not everyone likes the five stars. Other than that, everything else about its design is classic.
Very underrated, I love Sinn, have owned several. Another dark horse is Alpina. Not high end, but excellent bang for buck. I would say folks auditioning Tudor, Seiko, Oris, Longines etc would do well to have a look at both Sinn and Alpina.
Call it as dry as you want, as unoriginal as you want, but you literally can never go wrong with the Submariner. That's the whole point of the watch. You'll never win points for originality, but you can slap this thing on a turd and it'll look sharp. There is no better icon in the watch industry, whether you love to hear it or not.
I was really impressed recently when for the first time I saw a (non diver) blue dial black bay (on rubber) on someone. It just looked really classy without trying too hard.
Excellent choices, but how about these three Seiko's?: - Presage 'Cocktail Time' SSA343J1 - Prospex 'Speedtimer' SSC813J1 - Prospex 'King Samurai' SRPE35K1
Nice choices but Johny Ive's first decent watch when he started his gig at Apple in '92- Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, so about as far from a reverso that is possable. But I'm sure you knew that.
The watches you selected are great but it really depends on the person. A Cartier for example, would not look good on a sumo wrestler. Far too delicate and small a watch. In my opinion, you have to look at the person, the way they dress, and then apply the appropriate watch.
Please give some credit to Norqain! These watches get zero mentions on RUclips but they are amazingly finished and great looking! Break the chain Watchfinder!
Please, please, please, don't mention the Tissot PR bloody X. Sick of hearing about it EVERYWHERE! REALLY don't understand why everyone is raving about it! The ones I've seen look CRAP in real life!
SMP 300 42mm/13.7 50 lg to lg will NOT fit everyone! Looks great but anything below 7” struggles! No wonder they skipped the specs (unless I missed it!). Older versions better specs.
@@ALL-il1sw lol 😂 I love Omega (have 2) but for this video for watches that look amazing on ANYONE I’d say smaller wrists might struggle to pull this off. My 7” wrist could probably handle it no prob.
@@dukes70 how small are those wrists,, you need to look at the bigger picture here, smart watches are being made bigger than the SMP, and women wear those daily.
I love your videos and the amazing watches you feature. However I must disagree with the "universality" of many of these models. The question isn't whether they look good on just any wrist; is if any wrist looks good on that watch!
It's all in your own mind mostly 😂 we see what we want to see😂 and if someone says otherwise we object and call them out of style 😂 Sorry but as much as i love the Reverso... it's a very "picky" watch. Unless you have a wide flat wrist the grand taille will not sit well. If you go classic it looks too small for men. But it's a beautiful beautiful watch in itself.
The plastic hand and wrist used to show the Nomos will haunt my nightmares.
Seamaster and speedmaster are perfect for any wrist
Agreed!

One of my favorite video formats from this channel.
I heard Tim Mosso called you out yesterday? Meet him at the playground at high noon!

The Talking Hands can also be fists
Tiny Tim and his merry band of superchat superheroes to save the day with zodiac chitters
For real?
What did he say ?
he literally just said he likes the dude and since he’s never met him despite reaching out, would like him to say “hi.”…lmao
I miss the microphones and the talking hands videos!
Yes, that was really unique!
the 90s omega seamasters are the best divers ever made
Sexiest lines of any Omegas. I’d pay allot for a new old stock with box and papers in steel and titanium.

Junghans (Max Bill) could be included as well for a timeless dresswatch alternative that won’t break the bank.
The black dial automatic, in particular, looks like nothing else on the market. It's in the "constantly looking at it" category.
“Lost in Space, Matt LaBlanc”…😂
I have that Longines moon phase and I love it, I think it's a frequently overlooked watch.

Thats just it - its a good dress watch and a good casual watch and a good work watch.
I dunno... I think if we saw Beetlejuice...in a stained tshirt...holding some plastic bags of random...and wearing a Reverso... it'd be pretty exquisite, you guys!
Anyone with a nice suit can rock a reverso

No Grand Seiko in the list!
Tissot has a PR 100 Model, super economical but looks fantastic! Would be a perfect 21st on the list😉
I agree! That is easily the the only watch a man would ever need. Some say boring, but I say understated and underrated.

How watches insult each other:

5:35 “You’ve got flat lugs!” 😲
Guys, why is the Garrick 10 mm thick when it's just a winding watch? You'd think a dress watch should look elegant and thin.
Lol the citizen strap, hilarious commentary. Watch does look great 🔥

C'est une montre spectaculaire.
Merci.
The Baltic blue and orange GMT could get you mistaken for a Mets fan if you live in New York. The Mets are a local cricket team.
The Hamilton Khaki Murph is probably the most versatile watch on the list.

Farer Aquamatic Freshwater a great contrast to my BB58 for the summer.Their Classic Chronograph with Dubois Depraz module also in the collection.
