So get this... I might be going to work for Quest aircraft here in North Idaho where I live! They are the creator and builders of the Kodiak 100's! Exciting news!
I got a Steam Deck finally and got DCS World working on it. I’ve been working on learning the f18 on there. Lots of learning to do but its been fun. Great video man.
It's absolutely insane that Microsoft don't bother giving any instructions for this plane. We're just supposed to guess how to operate this incredibly complex vehicle or watch videos made by other people who have also had to guess and got lucky.
Anybody know how to program HSI to spot other planes in the area? I was pushing buttons trying to learn how to sequence the flight plan waypoints, and all the sudden, I was seeing other planes show up as “O”s with a small line coming off them indicating their heading. I have no idea how I activated it and haven’t been able to luck upon it again. Any info would be great. Happy flying, y’all!
The AP doesn’t seem to be working right for me. For one, I have a hard time getting it into BALT. I click and it just goes back to FPTH. Seems I need to be perfectly at 0 VS to get it to stay in BALT. And HDG SEL will not hold the heading. Couple mode will start to go to a waypoint but then it will start to bank hard left the right.
I can't get this to work reliably at all. Seems to be really buggy. I got it to track the first 2 waypoints then it just ignored the rest. After that I couldn't get it to lock on either a waypoint or heading mode. Yours seems to work every time. Not sure what the difference is. I checked all settings several times and the HUD indicates the correct sequence - the autopilot just ignores them even though it's set to auto..

I really like the Hornet i just wish I could hang some tanks off it. The clean look is rare in the real world.
@@Pilot0083 we don't see many Hornets over here from the states. Just Eagles and 35s. No chance of Blue Angles.
Is this the free model that comes with the base game?
