Brilliant. Your review was to the point. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Everyday I am learning a little bit more and every little bit of help is appreciated. Thx
Good overview but too rushed for a tutorial for the first time user of this aircraft. It would be nice to know what the button abbreviations stand for, etc. Will this plane follow a GPS IFR flight plan in auto pilot like other planes in MSFS? Or do you have to manually change heading for each leg of a waypoint? Is there a way to set the A/P for a vertical speed rate of climb and decent?
When I was in the Navy, I used to work on the ACLS for the Grumnman (sp?) aircraft. It sucked as once a month I had to be escorted to the tower to get the new frequency, and then spend the next 5 days in "the vault" setting the new frequency into all the boxes. Fun times.
I prefer the DCS version but it's nice MSFS included it because it's one of my favourite jets. Hopefully they add all the non implemented features eventually!
Autothrottle function would depend on aircraft condition. In cruise it would hold a constant speed. If in a landing configuration it would hold angle of attack.
Even with this tutorial it took me a while to figure out that AP in the Hornet isn't broken, it's just the Military Autopilot won't pull you out of maneuvers. I'm accustomed to AP being able to reverse banking direction back toward my selected heading when I hit the button, but the F18 won't do that, you need to be flying level before AP kicks in.
Anybody know how to program HSI to spot other planes. I was pushing buttons trying to learn how to sequence the waypoint and all the sudden, I was seeing other planes show up as “O”s with a small line coming off them indicating their heading. I have no idea how I activated it, and haven’t been able to luck upon it again. Any info would be great. Happy flying, y’all!
You should play DCS, man. I used to play MSFS2020 a LOT but have since kinda "graduated on to" DCS. It's all the same flying, navigation, etc stuff as MSFS but you have all the added complexity of weapons employment, countermeasures, etc. It's friggin epic.
On the back of the control stick (when viewed from the pilots perspective) below the nosewheel steering button there is a paddle. This disengages the autopilot.
absolutely not helpful for someone who fly's the F18 for his first time. Why not tell us in the beginning how to use the autopilot and navigation, set the altitude at start. You already start with waypoints which is super not important.
I wish Microsoft and Eagle Dynamics would just work together.
Great video. Actually if you guys slow the the video down from 1 line of cocaine to 0 lines of cocaine it’s perfect.
You have the BEST comms voice tone in the WORLD 🤣 Smoooooth and coooool.

I’ve been needing a video like this for the F18
I had no idea about any of this. Cool!
I subscribed to your channel because of this video.
haha - this guy sounds just like the pilot speaking over the intercom on an airline flight. nice touch!

You don't know how to spell the manufacturer but worked on their aircraft. I call this BS, stolen Valor.
@@georgefaulk2528 I was going to say something, but then I realized you are not worth the time of day.

I couldn't follow any of this. "BOOP!" back button on my browser.
Can you program vor/adf in the hornet. I’ve seen how to’s on the f18c but it doesn’t work in msfs

How do you disable the autopilot again if you just set HDG and ALT?
You need to disable Autopilot completely. There is a Keybind for it in the settings. But for me it was set to "Z" per default.
did you speed your voice up lmao
i slowed it to .75 and it sounds normal

It's a nice plane to fly manually!
Thanks! BTW, what was the map pop-up you had on screen near the end? You were using it to input your frequency. Is that an add-on?

"let's go ahead and kill the autopilot completely" How did u do that ... ???
How do you turn autopilot on or off?
You did not explain how to turn autopilot completely off you just said “boop”. How do I turn it all off?
For Xbox press Y for autopilot on/off
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
How do you get the heading indicator on there.
Thanks! Now I hope I can sleep during my international flight 🤣
Just curious, what were you gonna say about the difference between msfs HUD & real life HUD when leaning in close? Great video😎🙏🏾

Where will I find the free download for the CTN750?

Anyone know why my auto-throttle refuse to be engaged?
This is like wet dream! So freaking cool!
I wish in flight sim we could use everything in the planes n jets all the switches and buttons
If Ben Shapiro did flight sim instructions
lol
What are your PC specs?
How did you get the gtn 750
that's what i was wondering
How do you switch the ATC on it doesnt turn on after auto completing Checklist and i cant find it anywhere PLZ help , im on xbox
I just start from the starting engine part ATC turns on with the battery
ruclips.net/video/7fK9OXMp9f4/видео.htmlfeature=shared
So there’s no way to set an altitude then?
no
How to disengage autopilot without using the hotkey?
Yes how do you disengage autopilot?
@@samloose7526 CTRL + ALT + Z

Good grief I spent at least 30 minutes just looking for that button and I couldn't find it.
Were you a horse race narrator any time?
lmao
where can i download this plane from?
It comes stock with the Microsoft flight simulator 2020 game.

agreed
Some folks just love to hear their own voice !
Well I didn’t learn anything
Very fast talking which made me couldn’t follow the valuable info and tutoring
Yep I agree
Cool what a shame that you speak so fast... what a shame this video is intended just for native English speaking people....
Anyone get instantly annoyed by this guy talking like he's at an auctioneer contest?
I usually speed up videos, so this is the perfect pace for me lol
It looks so awful. Fly Dcs
