- I build and paint a warhammer 40k combat patrol box within 24h. Part of this video is a challenge what method is faster to build a box: single assembly versus mass assembly. I am joined in the first part of the video by Sergei from @MiniQuest64

Knowing how long I take to just paint a mini, I couldn't imagine doing it all in 24 hours haha
But it's always fun watching someone else do a 24 hour challenge!

I painted my sisters of battle combat patrol box in 30ish hours because i needed them ready. They werent great but they meet all the requirements.
Did you paint them with speedpaint or contrast paint?

The answer is probably no.
And there is nothing wrong with that! It’s about the fun we have not the time something gets paint 😅

I think that just the "painting" part is already difficult enough for me. Adding in building time as well, I would never get near 24 hours haha.
Pro tip buy 2 boxes
Leave the bikers off and you have 12 extra minis to kitbash
Baam save 100 bucks on special tropps
They all are in a prone position so use 5 guardian to kitbash
I now a have 2 free Farseer/spiritseer and a full squad of howling banshees
Need some extra bits of course but its still worth it ❤❤❤
saddly i dont think you really get enough legs unless you do a bunch of remodeling
@@mikem0ke i have 4 dudes in a prone position and 6 standing carefully cutting on the legs plus green stuff and they look nearly as good as the rest of the squad 👌

Looks great but I thing the weapons master would make some heads roll if you showed up to their armory with armor in this state
I would love a video about you Experience with airbrushing and the stationed you use. Also a nice challenge I will maby try a 6 or 8 houer painting marathon with a buddy.

@Paint_Quest more the pill of shame, I don't paint for playing just collection. And I bought 10 difrent model from e Bay, from a tank to minis from Blackstone fortresses.

Apart from the video that I liked a lot, I believe you had a little issue with audio. Have you tried making all audio tracks mono? I think that sometimes it is set to mono and sometimes it is stereo (from lavaliers). Check it out, it might improve the quality of your next video. All in all great job, I enjoyed the video ;)
Glad you liked it! I know, post-processing of the lavalier recordings was a nightmare in this one. Was using a new mic (which is great) but each mic recorded to a specific channel and I had problems mixing this correctly (also one mic was not setup perferctly). Next time will be much better, learned a lot about audio pit falls in this one 😅
You don't need to varnish before applying enamel paints. Don't worry they don't interact with acrylics.
It's more about the white spirits. Long exposure can soften up acrylics. But i agree, there isn't nearly enough contact with the white spirits to worry about it damaging the paintjob. Some people just like to be extra, extra safe.
please can you do a vid for thining paints and keeping brushes pointed its so anoying half the time, apart from that just wow well done
Don’t you think there are enough videos about thinning paint? 😂
Better results if you use a enamel thinner to thin and clean the enamel paint, works better than white/mineral spirits

If i had the necron combat control, woth my scheme, would probably take me 12 hours if the models have to be assembled
I have no idea how long the assembly of necrons takes, but the painting CAN be super quick 😅

To be totally fair you had a disadvantage in the building, I think he chose not to tell you that the Sisters minis are monopose easy to build models LOL

Könnt ihr das Ding nicht einfach auf deutsch machen und Englisch Untertiteln? Ich finde das englische nimmt sehr viel Natürlichkeit und fühlt sich teilweise sehr gezwungen an. Man merkt halt einfach ganz krass das es nicht eure Muttersprache ist. Grüße

Stimme ich zu! Das ist wirklich sehr anstrengend, für die eigenen Landsleute. Ich meine wegen der Reichweite kann es ja nicht sein, über 7000 schaffste auch auf deutsch.
Deshalb schaue ich mir das immer nur in "Schnelldurchlauf "an, halte ich sonst nicht aus. Aber sein Kanal, seine Videos....
