I am trying to decide between this unit and an HX Stomp. Basically I play bass through a Mesa 800+ head, running direct out of there. At the same time, my daughter plays direct at church. The stomp seems to have a huge learning curve plus it's $150 more. I almost think that I would be better served just buying separate pedals than trying to figure out the Zoom B6.
Thank you for stopping by, I was originally thinking of the HX Stomp, but aside from the learning curve, there were issues that just didn't work with me. When I did the unboxing video, I had no time to sit and play with anything as I'm a busy family man as well as a musician and I shot this video after literally reading the online manual in 1 day, it was that simple. At 88.2 kHz, it can absolutely duplicate your live pedals without the added weight If you haven't seen my unboxing video ruclips.net/video/QYwxY5Py9mk/видео.html it's the reason I chose this unit. It can duplicate my pedals and more. The learning curve was simple and the weight of the unit is great.
What up Bottom-ender, thank you for stopping by and showing some love. With 4 Di's and 88.2KHz, this can do it all better than most I've tried. The capabilities are limitless. I'll put up a video replicating the Tech 21 DP-3X dUg Pinnick as well as the Dark Glass among others. Most amps are easy to replicate, but what makes the difference is how realistic they sound. I tried messing with the Axe Fx and although pretty great, the sample rate is fixed at 48kHz, that doesn't make it crap, but if your an audiophile and your looking for that certain sound, it didn't cut the mustard for me. Rock on brother!
Thank you for stopping by, I'm very glad the vid was helpful. It's very useful to have a resource that explains more of the functions than simply hearing sound fx. Hard earned money is hard to part with these days 😆 Rock on!
Hey there from Alabama!!!!...So how easy is it to use LIVE????....I run a cpl different preamp/effect units ..one of which is the HX Stomp and the tones are good ...and programming pretty simple....BUT it sucks using it live due to it being a PAIN to TRY and to from one preset/bank without using your hands!!!!....I mean wow I know most people doesnt THINK that bassists needs to change tones during a song....but we do....hahahaha....So how easy is it to change channels on the fly live???????
What up brother of the lower frequency! Shout out from NJ! I sort of missed that part on my tutorial lol, my bad. Yes, there is a way for you to set all your effects according to the song at hand. It has a killer Verse, Chorus, Bridge format that allows you to program accordingly, truly the feature that sold me as I totally understand what you mean about not being able to properly use your feet to set up effects accordingly unless your feet have arms of their own along with eyes with 50/50 vision. Rock on bottom-ender!!!
Is there a freeze effect? I got a headrush mx 5 kinda sucks it seems to take all my feel from playing n such a pain to tweak ….lol think I’m going to start useing a line spliter I am haveing a hard time getting a good distortion I like the idea of having just one pedal at everything but I think I’m might just have to go back to analog stuff
Thanx for stopping by bro, I don't have much experience with the Headrush only that it can be used by both guitarists and bassists alike and that right there turned me off immediately. You really want something that is solely dedicated to bass in order to truly get the goods. This unit is straight-up bass dedicating the entire 88.2KHZ to just that and if you're a guitarist, they have the Zoom G6. Any unit I've used like the Eleven Rack, Axe-FX, etc didn't do it for me when it came to replacing my pedals, especially at 48HZ but this one just might do it. I'll make a video comparing my analogs to the unit. Rock on!
Hey brother, Thanx for stopping by. I was Def gonna get the B3, but it only sports 44.1 kHz which is good, but the B6 sports 88.2 kHz making it sound much closer to the real analog pedals I'm looking to replace. I'll make a vid of just playing and going over the sounds. Rock on!
@@bassist718 I'm definitely going to get one but I'm not currently playing in a band so I think I'll hold off until I have a real reason to get one. I will keep my PodGo for my guitar but this seems like a must have for bass. Thanks again.
Thank you Bottom-ender for the love... I definitely love it and learning more and more about it daily. My only gripe with it as well as many other Zoom products will always be the build. Every Zoom product I've tried since I was a Teen have always been a cut above the rest, but they are always made of hard plastic which Plastic and foot pedal don't really go hand in hand as I can imagine running up to the pedal in a hurry and quickly stomp on it and miss the toggle switch, I fear I may crush it to death. Other than that, it is fantastic. If you have any questions at all in ref to it's functionalities, please feel free to ask away. Rock on brother!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get everything into frame without cutting off some features. I figured If learning the module is the point, it’s a small price to pay as I couldn’t find a fraction of the info I put anyplace. I guess I should’ve used my DSLR, but becomes too cumbersome. Thanx for stopping by fam!
Thanks man, I learned few things here. I finally got it here in Australia…love the unit so far, as you said super intuitive, nice one
Awesome!!!! Soo happy to hear. Thank u for stopping by! Stay safe out there and keep in touch! Blessings bottom-ender!

@@bassist718 I’ll check it out. Thanks for the reply!
This is an EXCELLENT tutorial. Is it possible to get a reasonable facsimile of the Tech 21 Dug Pinnick o/d sound? Thank you!

Thanks for these videos. Been thinking about switching to one of these units instead of the HX Stomp.

Hey man, how do we reset the patch settings? I accidentally deleted my Fat Bassman patch by trying to change patch memory order.

Nice one. It seems pretty similar to the B3n. Does it sound much better than the B3 or is it a B3 in a fancy box?

@@bassist718 Cool that's good to know. Thanks for doing the video. I couldn't find much information on it.
How do you add two bassist
Has 2 inputs but can only use 1 input at a time
