      Just ordered a "Coke" Promaster from Jomashop today, it'll be my first auto! Any suggestions for a nice daily strap? I'm thinking a simple black NATO would dress it up a little while being durable, but I haven't decided yet.

      Also I have a 7.5" wrist. I have some concerns that it will look dainty on me. 😅

    The modern version of the PR50 would be probably the PR100 with the Powermatic movement. Gorgeous 39mm versatile piece that fit with so many strap options, especially the silver dial variation.

      I have the PR100 COSC Certified Chronometer. Nice watch but really doesn't keep any better time than most of my other automatic watches. Nice watch, though.

    Seiko diver’s watches have stamped indices that look applied. The reason is that you don’t want the indices rattling loose while diving. All part of the ISO certification.

    The addiedive is a recent purchase and is proving an absolute strap monster. I love it so far and I love my Phoibos Wave Master is one of my favorites, but with the black rubber strap because I love the logo

    • @nickschulte3915
      @nickschulte3915 11 месяцев назад

      Update: the addiedive did not survive being in a pool. Wore it a few days in a pool, water got into the face. Not much, but enough. So I took the back off, dried it out, and the moisture ruined the lume. But Amazon replaced it, and I’m currently wearing the new one on a new band. The new one proved a bear to get the strap off of, the openings seem very tight. Even with the springs compressed I had to force the straps out, then I had to really work to get the light blue, rubber rally strap on. So it’s safe to say, there QC needs work, and I’m scared to take this guy into the water. I work at a dive shop and love rotating through my watches.

    I've got a Citizen NY0040 Black and a Citizen NY0086 Pepsi. Ones on the Citizen bracelet and the other is on an Uncle strap. Two ISO certified divers for less than $400! Two unpopular opinions - 60 click bezels are better than 120 click bezels and the stock hollow end links and pressed clasp NY Citizen bracelet is awesome.

    Just subscribed after learning about this channel from the cheapaudioman. I own a few watches from Seiko, Fuji Time and Casio G-Shock. Big fan of the G-Shock and own more than a few of 'em. Looking forward to exploring this channel too Randy. Thanks!

    Modern Tissot PR 50 I would go with the Tissot Classic Dream, Quartz for US$ 275 - 295. Or the Tissot Gentlemen in Quartz for around $400. In automatic around $800.

    Love the review. I always felt the Wave Master, of which I am a proud owner, had a more old school 50ml feel. The wave pattern on the face is a homage to omega. But the dial and the flat crystal just felt 50 ml

    2005 man. I developed a taste for pieces in the mechanical department only 2 years ago - when I picked up a Comb Sub 46 mm. Great watch. But in 2005 I remember I was on the hunt for a Victorinox Air Boss Mach something. In stores in Grindelwald I walked away though. Too costly for my taste, 250 usd.
