On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. Please create a scenario where The F-15E and A-10C are working together while directly competing as they're often compared! Competing in the sense that their not really working together, trying to get the most kills, and of course survival! VS Couple Mi-24 Hind's, Iglas, Strela, Tunguska, SA-5, SA-11, and Couple SU-25's! So Alex Hollings says the aim 260 is probably deployed on some raptors now. Feels like it’s time for some Aim-260 raptor action.

why? it's make believe the F35 was smoking this exact Boeing design in testing and the F22 murders the F35. The Boeing designed had way better engines too!
Perhaps one F-22 VS two SU-75's, F-22 likely kills one in BVR while the other SU-75 push in increasing the odds of a merge
If it is a Raptor killer then we should replace Rock Paper Scissors with F-22 F-16 Su-75
You can even create a Death Star on paper.
Seeing as the raptor is an absolute menace in dogfighting you wouldn't want to face in an F16, I doubt the SU-75 has an edge on the raptor.

A pretty good performance by the Checkmate, considering the guns-only limitation that's pretty much what the F-16 was designed for, and that it was against GS.
Nice to see someone understood that this fight was very much favouring the f-16.

"This thing is supposedly a raptor killer". This is Russia's "answer" to the F-35, and attempting to field a cheaper, more available option than the Su-57. It is in no way comparable to an F-22, and doesn't even have a flying prototype yet.
So we don't know anything about the Su-75, but we DO know that it's a piece of garbage already just because it's Russian. Man USimps never fail to amaze me

Kind of amusing that the people who are going "Su-75 don't exist and won't exist" are likely the same people singing praises to performance of Darkstar, a movie prop.
Looool see this is an interesting observation. When I made the dark star video not 1 comment was made about how it’s not real lol, but the checkmate a real plane at least in concept mode (more real then the darkstar) makes everyone lose their mind. Great observation.
To my knowledge, nobody in any government position has ever claimed that the Darkstar is real. Everyone knows it's a movie prop.
@@dylandarnell3657 For what it’s worth, China is obviously considered a more genuine challenge than Russia now, and they thought the Darkstar was real enough to maneuver a spy satellite, but also no longer have much interest in new Russian aircraft.

Jokes aside, this was a really impressive fight. Excellent job by both you and your opponent. The F-16 really is a phenomenal aircraft, holding its own against fighters decades more advanced than itself and still bringing substantial capabilities to any theater it is deployed in.
Props to Golf 2-3, I think he has improved a lot since you first fought him. Definitely still a bit behind you but he's making steps.
The Viper never ceases to amaze me. It's amazing what an old airframe can do with a skilled pilot. Great vid!
In a guns only dogfight, it amazes me how much the Viper rewards cool and calm piloting.
The F16 will be a viable platform for many years to come!..it amazes me just how old this design is and yet it can still hold its own in many scenarios with some of the news fighters out there!..

@@dvaritek434 yeah f22 is crazy. It’s as dominant as the f16 on 2 circle on the deck but has crazy instantaneous turn for equal dominance in the 1 circle. All while being stealth and primarily designed for bvr

They already have some new stealth bombers which can do the job a lot better than the F22

The F-16 has long been one of my favorite fighters of all time, both visually and by capability.

You should do the F-35 vs Su-75 fight
The F-16 Viper, still one of the best at what it was designed to do, and it was entirely designed for dog-fighting. This is why now matter how advanced newer planes get, if they aren't designed specifically for dog-fighting, they likely will not beat it at a dogfight. It's a purpose built coupe verses a sporty family car kind of thing.
The 16 is my favorite aircraft in the US arsenal. But the 22 really reminds me of a tiger shark, the way the wing tips are swept down. And how it just sneaks up on the opponents.

They did a decent job modeling that waporware. The Su-75 Femboy at least looks like it will be comparable to an F-18E Block-3 performance wise, assuming it ever enters production...
Great fight! What's your graphic settings/graphic mods, I have problem spotting enemy aircraft even at close range. Running 4070 super & i5 13600k with 64GB memory.
I think the Russian government has signed documents that they only purchase twin engine fighters. They may have changed that. Maybe someone knows?
Still love the look of that Checkmate. If they have the controls of the aircraft correct, there is no way on this planet that is an F-22 killer. But only one way to find out right. I can hopefully see the future, and you can do an F-22 versus Mig-75 video.

There are no plans to mass-produce the Darkstar, because [a] it was an experimental testbed for hypersonic scramjet technology and never intended for combat deployment or mass production, and [b] it was, and I cannot stress this enough, A MOVIE PROP.
The su75 has recently been produced as an EARLY PROTOTYPE
