Sorry if this comments comes off a little abrasive it just gets frustrating from time to time to see people make absolute claims about things they are not experts in.
A question I’ve always had, at what point is too fast for an air to air/ SAM? Surely that would put severe limits on maneuvering capabilities, yeah sure it’s a tiny un-manned machine but at hypersonic speeds pulling that hard? That’s like driving a truck at 200 mph and trying to aim for an ant that can also move fairly quickly in the street.
How is the SU 75 gonna be a “ raptor killer ?” When : 1) it’s only a balsa wood mock up 2) Raptors will soon be retired 3) “ if” it ever goes into production it will face the NGADs or the latest updated and modified F-35s with longer range hypersonic missiles
In fact, the logic is 5 t34 logic to the tiger tank. I don't think the Russians have any intention of fighting 1 on 1. They make the cost appropriate to him
That Radiation absorbant coat aint cheap Son and It needs to be applied at each time the Raptor flies, in the other hand the F-35 has special ceramic radiation absorbant plates insted that are easier and cheaper to replace and only need to be replaced if damaged "usualy only if the F-35 went Supersonic for too long".
The raptor comes out to play every once in awhile. Wagner met one in Syria. Some Iranian pilots shit a brick that one time. We do let him stretch his legs. But the poor guy doesn't have any worthy opponents... Dx
I love how this encounter is conducted under two VERY big assumptions. The first one being that the supposed”hypersonic” missiles actually work; and the second being that the Checkmate’s stealth can actually defeat incoming AMRAAMS. There is also the third assumption that it even makes it off the production line at all as well.
I have to say, I do like the look of the Checkmate. It looks like an amalgam of Boeing and Lockheed's JSF designs if they didn't have the Marine/STOVL requirement, which might very well have been their design inspiration. Time will tell if it ever reaches production.
checkmate moves in thinking it has the Raptor in it's sights when suddenly surprised and looks to the left: "clever girl.....AHHHHHH !!!" Raptor rips checkmate to pieces and starts munching on the face of checkmate 😂
Can you explain why the third Hypersonic missed you ? Makes no sense. Is that DSC software any good? Does it introduce random misses? I watched some other videos of yours and there was a similar situation a few times, where the missile should have hit you or your opponent, but didn't.
Someone correct me, but the Checkmate... is essentially still in development at this point, no? Why does it have a working model in DCS when it's essentially a bit of a fantasy thing?
Will be a sad day the F-22 is retired with the only kill ever coming from downing a spy balloon.. at the same time, what kind of animal will be in flight then 🥶
The F-35 seems less impressive, but it's frankly more capable than the F-22 when fielded in numbers. F-22 is amazing at playing solo, but the F-35 will do more in a team setting. And then NGAD will presumably be untouchable when it comes out.
At 6:38 you comment that your AIM 120D is still out of range at 31 miles, is it just me or does this seem ridiculous that one of our best A2A missiles isn’t good from a measly distance of 31 miles? When Russia/China stuff is good to 3X that distance!
yes but keep in mind your range is depending on your launch parameters, at 40k feet it is not out of range, at 5k feet it is out of range, This is due to air density and the drag/friction on the missile. I can probably hit something with the aim120D at 80-100 miles if I can get high and fast enough.
So no EW on the Raptor to discourage missiles or radar? Are we waiting for the wingman before we try it? Or no room? I would think now that detection is moving to 200 miles out that EW would start moving in.
Honestly I think the best strategy against F-22 is to just bait and retreat. If you know an F-22 is in the area, and you know approximately where it would be coming from, you just pepper it with hypersonics, then retreat and let the SAMs deal with it if it over extends.
This'll be a short one😭 its basically a Russian F-16 with low observability features, low quality if any RAM, and a 5th gen FCS. Doesnt bode well for a Raptor seeing how the F-35 and the J-20 would struggle would struggle to kill one and theyre the only three figthers that can really be called 5th gen.
It looks like the Checkmate (in DCS at least) has a really powerful radar to get and keep weapons locks on the F22 at those ranges. It’s what I’d expect with a F35 or F15EX radar.

A little humility and admittance that we don't KNOW this or that and that we THINK we have seen evidence to support this theory or that theory is a good thing. But statements like "Land based VHF radars can detect stealth, without targeting" said in such a matter of fact way are kind of nonsensical. Unless you have done it yourself....in which case you wouldn't be here on youtube talking about it. Sorry if this comments comes off a little abrasive it just gets frustrating from time to time to see people make absolute claims about things they are not experts in.
man that outro hits so hard in each video , great choice
The Raptor killer get his trial by fire now.
8:36 GS, just accept the fact you're the Best! It's not "luck"! You've got the *SKILLS!*
ngl i kinda wanna see a F-22 vs 6 Eurofighter Typhoon video idk why but it sounds cool
He did one of the F-22 vs 7 Eurofighter Typhoons a year ago.
@@brigdonbishop3095 oh thx :)
Perhaps the Checkmate would like to try his luck in a gunfight? Or maybe not since he lost two out of three to an F-16
On a simulator😂😂😂😂😂.
Doesn't seem like the Checkmate is much of a Raptor killer if it has to rely on its missiles. We need some guns only Raptor v Checkmate.
@@damirbajic4579Yea, hurry up, show your “hypersonic missiles” and “jet that’s scaring the West” to the rest of the world
@inff3rno Mine? Dude, where do you think I am from? Jesus everloving Christ.
@@damirbajic4579 Mb, I’m slow socially 💀
How is the SU 75 gonna be a “ raptor killer ?” When :
1) it’s only a balsa wood mock up
2) Raptors will soon be retired
3) “ if” it ever goes into production it will face the NGADs or the latest updated and modified F-35s with longer range hypersonic missiles
There are more chances for an F-22 to fight an alien spacecraft than this paper plane.
In fact, the logic is 5 t34 logic to the tiger tank. I don't think the Russians have any intention of fighting 1 on 1. They make the cost appropriate to him
The Raptor is an awesome aircraft, its such a shame that the US doesn't let it out of its hanger very often.
That Radiation absorbant coat aint cheap Son
and It needs to be applied at each time the Raptor flies, in the other hand the F-35 has special ceramic radiation absorbant plates insted that are easier and cheaper to replace and only need to be replaced if damaged "usualy only if the F-35 went Supersonic for too long".
The raptor comes out to play every once in awhile. Wagner met one in Syria. Some Iranian pilots shit a brick that one time. We do let him stretch his legs. But the poor guy doesn't have any worthy opponents... Dx
sure did when the enemy threat was a .. balloon
Great stuff! Always good to see more BVR.
If DCS is doing the checkmate that's PAPER only, they may as well use the AIM260 that's actually deployed. I mean it's all guess work 🤷🏽
260 is still in pre production testing ... Since 2020...
@@Asghaad Strong rumor is that it's already being drilled in small batches, still 1000x more than the paper checkmate 🤦🏾
I always get a chuckle after a victory and your parting view shot is of the empty weapons bay.
Checkmate must have a great radar to lock the F22 at 80 plus miles .
How can the Checkmate see and lock the Raptor at over +65 miles?
checkmate moves in thinking it has the Raptor in it's sights when suddenly surprised and looks to the left: "clever girl.....AHHHHHH !!!"
Raptor rips checkmate to pieces and starts munching on the face of checkmate
😂
Can you explain why the third Hypersonic missed you ? Makes no sense. Is that DSC software any good? Does it introduce random misses?
I watched some other videos of yours and there was a similar situation a few times, where the missile should have hit you or your opponent, but didn't.
Raptor killer? Shouldn't it handle the 40 yr old F-16 handily before it is a raptor killer?😊
The Su-75 would theoretically dominate an F-16 in a BVR fight. If it's ever actually manufactured.
Yeah, I love their naming conventions being XYZ killer. The Moskva was called the "Carrier Killer." How many carriers did it kill?
@@P_Fighter893 Yes, it comes across as a bit desperate
Isn't it 50 now?
@@initialdeeznuts8614 Pretty much. First flew in the mid 70s.
Someone correct me, but the Checkmate... is essentially still in development at this point, no? Why does it have a working model in DCS when it's essentially a bit of a fantasy thing?
Because some people actually respect the enemy on the field instead of being another backseater
Will be a sad day the F-22 is retired with the only kill ever coming from downing a spy balloon.. at the same time, what kind of animal will be in flight then 🥶
That would really be sad. This thing deserves better than just a balloon
The F-35 seems less impressive, but it's frankly more capable than the F-22 when fielded in numbers. F-22 is amazing at playing solo, but the F-35 will do more in a team setting. And then NGAD will presumably be untouchable when it comes out.
officially...
Well, it might come back like F-117, who knows
At 6:38 you comment that your AIM 120D is still out of range at 31 miles, is it just me or does this seem ridiculous that one of our best A2A missiles isn’t good from a measly distance of 31 miles? When Russia/China stuff is good to 3X that distance!
yes but keep in mind your range is depending on your launch parameters, at 40k feet it is not out of range, at 5k feet it is out of range, This is due to air density and the drag/friction on the missile. I can probably hit something with the aim120D at 80-100 miles if I can get high and fast enough.
Petition to call it the Su-75 Femboy as that more accurately fits NATO standards
a fellow connoisseur of piggy wiggy memery.
"You never really know, Ya know?" haha love it.
Fair enough... But when someone says 'Raptor killer'... We're tryna see the merge 😂
Checkmate is actually a perfect name for it.
Most chess pieces are wooden mockups of military units
F-22 Raptor: Vaporware killer
Hey GS,ain't bragging but you silenced that Raptor killer stuff quickly, two thumbs up my Brother in Arms, keep up the good work 💯💯💯💯
Remember guys... The raptor is last century tech.
And built during a time the US was a lot less secretive about its projects. A lot has changed since then.
It was way ahead of its time when it was built though
@@edwarddill3254 That's my point. It shows how advanced US tech is.
That has been upgraded with new tech that still dominates everything in the sky.
I think Fat Amy vs. Checkmate would be interresting too
I see F-22 I click
Thanks for the fun GS! By the way, when you say were fine, I'm going to recommit, I automatically pull my hearing aids out, just in case!❤😊
F22 the Raptor Killer Killer
Does anyone know how the R-37M is able to guide through the plasma sheath when it's going hypersonic?
Looooool that’s probably one of the most classified questions I’ve seen someone ask in these comments section lol. Well done sir.
@@GrowlingSidewinder You never know when someone will commit treason to win a debate online. 🤷♂️
that cheeky weapon bay flash :)
So no EW on the Raptor to discourage missiles or radar? Are we waiting for the wingman before we try it? Or no room? I would think now that detection is moving to 200 miles out that EW would start moving in.
Please fly the SU-75 Checkmate in a Video
Man that missile bay opening at the end there.... disrespectful.
Day 65 of asking for kf21 vs f22
Kf21 is still super new, I doubt anyone will have a module ready for quite a while.
He's done a video with the kf21 before @@MGAFFY
@@NighthawkSquadron Ahh okay, I did not know that, thanks for the info 👍

Now I want to see a dogfight between the 2.. bvr is cool and all, but dogfight is what's going to separate the 2
This is testimony to show that the Russians have more advanced hypersonic weapons
More silicone in the Russian general’s mistress than silicon in the checkmate… I am surprised the GPS is not a tomtom
Honestly I think the best strategy against F-22 is to just bait and retreat. If you know an F-22 is in the area, and you know approximately where it would be coming from, you just pepper it with hypersonics, then retreat and let the SAMs deal with it if it over extends.
I think the Mig1.44 should be better than the Su-75?
That cheeky empty bay show at the end though. The 22 is a friggin spaceship! I am actually living in the future and maybe I just didn't realise.
He still had one in the bay, no?
@VAPhillyFan54 oh bloody hell, did he? lol. maybe I didn't have my glasses on!
This seems like it would get extremely addictive...great vid!
Are you ever going to use the checkmate?
The AMRAAM was not even trying... lol
It was just chillin his way to the interception point
It looks like the Checkmate (in DCS at least) has a really powerful radar to get and keep weapons locks on the F22 at those ranges. It’s what I’d expect with a F35 or F15EX radar.
It's amazing how good a plane that was designed in the 90'sand introduced in 2005 is in current times.
Maybe Raptor killer is actually an exclamation - like it’s lamenting the Raptor and calling it a killer…
Pretty even fight, the Pilot of the checkmate should have gone lower to the ground to defeat the last missle from the F22.
